Micah 7
1 Misery is mine! Indeed, I am like one who gathers the summer fruits, as gleanings of the vineyard. There is no cluster of grapes to eat. My soul desires to eat the early fig.
わざわいなるかな、わたしは夏のくだものを集める時のように、ぶどうの収穫の残りを集める時のようになった。食らうべきぶどうはなく、わが心の好む初なりのいちじくもない。
2 The godly man has perished out of the earth, and there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; every man hunts his brother with a net.
神を敬う人は地に絶え、人のうちに正しい者はない。みな血を流そうと待ち伏せし、おのおの網をもってその兄弟を捕える。
3 Their hands are on that which is evil to do it diligently. The ruler and judge ask for a bribe. The powerful man dictates the evil desire of his soul. Thus they conspire together.
両手は悪い事をしようと努めてやまない。つかさと裁判官はまいないを求め、大いなる人はその心の悪い欲望を言いあらわし、こうして彼らはその悪を仕組む。
4 The best of them is like a brier. The most upright is worse than a thorn hedge. The day of your watchmen, even your visitation, has come; now is the time of their confusion.
彼らの最もよい者もいばらのごとく、最も正しい者もいばらのいけがきのようだ。彼らの見張びとの日、すなわち彼らの刑罰の日が来る。いまや彼らの混乱が近い。
5 Do not trust in a neighbor. Do not put confidence in a friend. With the woman lying in your embrace, be careful of the words of your mouth!
あなたがたは隣り人を信じてはならない。友人をたのんではならない。あなたのふところに寝る者にも、あなたの口の戸を守れ。
6 For the son dishonors the father, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
むすこは父をいやしめ、娘はその母にそむき、嫁はそのしゅうとめにそむく。人の敵はその家の者である。
7 But as for me, I will look to the LORD. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.
しかし、わたしは主を仰ぎ見、わが救の神を待つ。わが神はわたしの願いを聞かれる。
8 Do not rejoice against me, my enemy. When I fall, I will arise. When I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me.
わが敵よ、わたしについて喜ぶな。たといわたしが倒れるとも起きあがる。たといわたしが暗やみの中にすわるとも、主はわが光となられる。
9 I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my case and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light. I will see his righteousness.
主はわが訴えを取りあげ、わたしのためにさばきを行われるまで、わたしは主の怒りを負わなければならない。主に対して罪を犯したからである。主はわたしを光に導き出してくださる。わたしは主の正義を見るであろう。
10 Then my enemy will see it, and shame will cover her who said to me, “Where is the LORD your God?” My eyes will see her. Now she will be trodden down like the mire of the streets.
その時「あなたの神、主はどこにいるか」とわたしに言ったわが敵は、これを見て恥をこうむり、わが目は彼を見てあざ笑う。彼は街路の泥のように踏みつけられる。
11 A day to build your walls! In that day, he will extend your boundary.
あなたの城壁を築く日が来る。その日には国境が遠く広がる。
12 In that day they will come to you from Assyria and the cities of Egypt, and from Egypt even to the River, and from sea to sea, and mountain to mountain.
その日にはアッスリヤからエジプトまで、エジプトからユフラテ川まで、海から海まで、山から山まで、人々はあなたに来る。
13 Yet the land will be desolate because of those who dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.
しかしかの地はその住民のゆえに、そのおこないの実によって荒れはてる。
14 Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your heritage, who dwell by themselves in a forest. Let them feed in the middle of fertile pasture land, in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
どうか、あなたのつえをもってあなたの民、すなわち園の中の林にひとりおるあなたの嗣業の羊を牧し、いにしえの日のようにバシャンとギレアデで、彼らを養ってください。
15 “As in the days of your coming out of the land of Egypt, I will show them marvelous things.”
あなたがエジプトの国を出た時のように、わたしはもろもろの不思議な事を彼らに示す。
16 The nations will see and be ashamed of all their might. They will lay their hand on their mouth. Their ears will be deaf.
国々の民は見て、そのすべての力を恥じ、その手を口にあて、その耳は聞えぬ耳となる。
17 They will lick the dust like a serpent. Like crawling things of the earth, they will come trembling out of their dens. They will come with fear to the LORD our God, and will be afraid because of you.
彼らはへびのように、地に這うもののようにちりをなめ、震えながらその城から出、おののきつつ、われわれの神、主に近づいてきて、あなたのために恐れる。
18 Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.
だれかあなたのように不義をゆるし、その嗣業の残れる者のためにとがを見過ごされる神があろうか。神はいつくしみを喜ばれるので、その怒りをながく保たず、
19 He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot. You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
再びわれわれをあわれみ、われわれの不義を足で踏みつけられる。あなたはわれわれのもろもろの罪を海の深みに投げ入れ、
20 You will give truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
昔からわれわれの先祖たちに誓われたように、真実をヤコブに示し、いつくしみをアブラハムに示される。
