Matthew 15
1 Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem, saying,
Da kamen zu Jesus die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer von Jerusalem, und sprachen:
2 “Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”
Warum übertreten deine Jünger die Überlieferungen der Ältesten? denn sie waschen ihre Hände nicht, wenn sie Brot essen.
3 He answered them, “Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?
Er aber antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Warum übertretet auch ihr das Gebot Gottes, um euerer Überlieferung willen?
4 For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.’
Denn Gott hat gesagt: "Ehre Vater und Mutter!" und: "wer Vater oder Mutter flucht, der Soll des Todes sterben!"
5 But you say, ‘Whoever may tell his father or his mother, “Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,”
Ihr aber sagt: Wer zum Vater, oder zur Mutter spricht: Opfer sei, was dir von mir zu gute kommen könnte! der braucht seinen Vater, oder seine Mutter, nicht zu ehren.
6 he shall not honor his father or mother.’ You have made the commandment of God void because of your tradition.
Und so habt ihr das Wort Gottes durch eure Überlieferung aufgehoben.
7 You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
Ihr Heuchler! Trefflich hat von euch Jesaias geweissagt, da er spricht:
8 ‘These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
"Dieses Volk ehrt mich mit den Lippen, aber ihr Herz ist ferne von mir.
9 And they worship me in vain, teaching as doctrine rules made by men.’”
Aber vergeblich dienen sie mir, dieweil sie lehren solche Lehren, die nichts denn Menschengebote sind."
10 He summoned the multitude, and said to them, “Hear, and understand.
Und er rief die Volkshaufen zu sich, und sprach zu ihnen: Höret und verstehet!
11 That which enters into the mouth does not defile the man; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man.”
Nicht das, was in den Mund eingeht, verunreinigt den Menschen, sondern was aus dem Mund ausgeht, das verunreinigt den Menschen.
12 Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”
Da kamen seine Jünger herbei und sprachen zu ihm: Weißt du, daß die Pharisäer sich ärgerten, als sie das Wort hörten?
13 But he answered, “Every plant which my heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted.
Er aber antwortete, und sprach: Jegliche Pflanze, welche mein himmlischer Vater nicht gepflanzt hat, wird ausgerissen werden.
14 Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
Lasset sie, sie sind blinde Blindenleiter. Wenn aber ein Blinder einen Blinden leitet, so fallen sie beide in eine Grube.
15 Peter answered him, “Explain the parable to us.”
Petrus aber antwortete, und sprach zu ihm: Deute uns dies Gleichnis!
16 So Jesus said, “Do you also still not understand?
Er aber sprach: Seid auch ihr noch immer unverständig?
17 Do not you understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly and then out of the body?
Begreift ihr nicht, daß alles, was in den Mund eingeht, den Bauch durchläuft, und in den Abtritt fällt?
18 But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man.
Was aber herausgeht aus dem Munde, das kommt aus dem Herzen, und das verunreinigt den Menschen.
19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.
Denn aus dem Herzen kommen böse Gedanken, Mordtaten, Ehebrüche, Hurereien, Diebstähle, falsche Zeugnisse, Lästerungen;
20 These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”
Diese sind es, die den Menschen verunreinigen, aber mit ungewaschenen Händen zu essen, verunreinigt den Menschen nicht.
21 Jesus went out from there and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
Und Jesus ging aus von dannen, und entwich in die Gegend von Tyrus und Sidon.
22 Behold, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders and cried, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, you son of David! My daughter is severely possessed by a demon!”
Und siehe, ein kananäisches Weib aus jenen Grenzen kam, schrie ihm zu, und sprach: Erbarme dich meiner, Herr, Sohn Davids! denn meine Tochter ist arg besessen.
23 But he answered her not a word. His disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away; for she cries after us.”
Er aber antwortete ihr nicht ein Wort. Und es kamen seine Jünger herzu, baten ihn, und sprachen: Fertige sie ab! denn sie schreit uns nach.
24 But he answered, “I was not sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
Er aber antwortete, und sprach: Ich bin nicht gesandt außer zu den verlorenen Scharfen im Hause Israel.
25 But she came and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, help me.”
Sie aber kam, fiel vor ihm nieder, und sprach: Herr, hilf mir!
26 But he answered, “It is not appropriate to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”
Er aber antwortete, und sprach: Es ist nicht schön, wenn man das Brot der Kinder nimmt, und gibt es den Hündlein.
27 But she said, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
Sie aber sprach: Ja, Herr! doch essen auch die Hündlein von den Brocken, die von den Tischen ihrer Herrn fallen.
28 Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Be it done to you even as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.
Da antwortete Jesus, und sprach zu ihr: O Weib! groß ist dein Glaube! Dir geschehe, wie du willst! Und ihre Tochter war von jener Stunde an geheilt.
29 Jesus departed from there and came near to the sea of Galilee; and he went up on the mountain and sat there.
Und Jesus zog von dannen weg, und kam an den See Galiläas, und er stieg auf einen Berg, und setzte sich daselbst.
30 Great multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others, and they put them down at his feet. He healed them,
Und es kamen zu ihm viele Volkshaufen, die hatten bei sich Lahme, Blinde, Stumme, Krüppel, und viele andere, und legten sie vor seine Füße, und er heilte sie,
31 so that the multitude wondered when they saw the mute speaking, the injured healed, the lame walking, and the blind seeing—and they glorified the God of Israel.
So daß sich die Volkshaufen verwunderten, als sie sahen, daß die Stummen redeten, die Krüppel heil wurden, die Lahmen wandelten, und die Blinden sahen; und sie priesen den Gott Israels.
32 Jesus summoned his disciples and said, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have continued with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way.”
Jesus aber rief seine Jünger herbei, und sprach: Es jammert mich des Volks, denn schon drei Tage sind die bei mir geblieben, und haben nichts zu essen; und ich will sie nicht ungegessen von mir lassen, auf daß sie nicht auf dem Wege verschmachten.
33 The disciples said to him, “Where could we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a multitude?”
Und seine Jünger sagten ihm: Woher mögen wir so viel Brot nehmen in der Wüste, daß wir so viel Volk sättigen?
34 Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven, and a few small fish.”
Und Jesus sagt ihnen: Wieviel Brot habt ihr? Sie sprachen: Sieben, und wenige Fische.
35 He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground;
Und er befahl den Volkshaufen sich niederzulassen auf die Erde.
36 and he took the seven loaves and the fish. He gave thanks and broke them, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
Und er nahm die sieben Brote und die Fische, sagte Dank, brach, und gab seinen Jüngern, die Jünger aber dem Volkshaufen.
37 They all ate and were filled. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.
Und sie aßen alle, und wurden satt, und hoben auf, was überblieb an Brocken, sieben Körbe voll.
38 Those who ate were four thousand men, in addition to women and children.
Die aber gegessen hatten, waren viertausend Männer, ohne Weiber und Kinder.
39 Then he sent away the multitudes, got into the boat, and came into the borders of Magdala.
Und er entließ das Volk, und stieg in das Boot, und kam in die Gegend Magdala.
