Mark 1
1 The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Commencement de l'Evangile de Jésus-Christ, Fils de Dieu.
2 As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you:
Selon ce qui est écrit dans Esaïe, le prophète, «voici j'envoie devant toi mon messager pour te préparer le chemin;
3 the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’”
C'est une voie qui crie au désert: «Préparez le chemin du Seigneur faites-lui des sentiers droits, »
4 John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
Jean parut, baptisant au désert, et prêchant le baptême de repentance pour le pardon des péchés.
5 All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
Toutes les campagnes de la Judée et tous les habitants de Jérusalem se rendaient vers lui, et se faisaient baptiser par lui dans le fleuve du Jourdain, confessant leurs péchés.
6 John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.
Jean avait un vêtement de poil de chameau, et une ceinture de cuir autour des reins; il mangeait des sauterelles et du miel sauvage.
7 He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.
Il prêchait, disant: «Il vient après moi, celui qui est plus puissant que moi, et je ne suis pas digne de délier, en me baissant, la courroie de ses sandales.
8 I baptized you in water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.”
Pour moi, je vous ai baptisés d'eau, mais il vous baptisera d'esprit saint.»
9 In those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
En ce temps-là, Jésus vint de Nazareth ville de Galilée, et il fut baptisé par Jean dans le Jourdain.
10 Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
Au moment où il sortait de l'eau, il vit les cieux s'entr'ouvrir, et l'Esprit, comme une colombe, descendre sur lui.
11 A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Et une voix sortit des cieux, disant: «Tu es mon Fils bien-aimé; c'est en toi que j'ai mis toute mon affection.»
12 Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.
Aussitôt après, Jésus fut poussé par l'Esprit au désert,
13 He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.
et il y passa quarante jours, tenté par Satan. Il était avec les bêtes sauvages, et les anges le servaient.
14 Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom,
Après que Jean eut été mis en prison, Jésus se rendit en Galilée, prêchant l'évangile de Dieu,
15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”
et disant: «Le temps est venu, et le royaume de Dieu est proche. Repentez- vous, et croyez à la bonne nouvelle.»
16 Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
Comme il passait le long de la mer de Galilée, il vit Simon et André, frère de Simon, qui péchaient au filet dans la mer, car ils étaient pêcheurs;
17 Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”
et Jésus leur dit: «Venez, suivez-moi, et je vous ferai pêcheurs d'hommes.»
18 Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
Aussitôt ils quittèrent leurs filets, et le suivirent.
19 Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.
Étant allé un peu plus loin, il vit Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, son frère, qui raccommodaient leurs filets dans leur barque.
20 Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
Il les appela aussitôt; et eux, laissant Zébédée, leur père, dans la barque avec les ouvriers, le suivirent.
21 They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.
Ils se rendirent à Capernaoum. Dès le sabbat, Jésus entra dans la synagogue, et y enseigna.
22 They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
Et l'on était frappé de son enseignement; car il enseignait avec autorité, et non comme les scribes.
23 Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
Dès que Jésus eut parlé, un homme qui avait un esprit impur, et qui se trouvait dans la synagogue,
24 saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”
s'écria: «Qu'y a-t-il entre nous et toi, Jésus de Nazareth? Tu es venu nous faire périr. Je te connais, tu es le Saint de Dieu.»
25 Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”
Jésus le tança. «Tais-toi, lui dit-il, et sors de cet homme.»
26 The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
Et l'esprit impur, ayant jeté cet homme dans des convulsions, sortit en poussant un grand cri.
27 They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”
Tous les assistants furent dans la stupéfaction, de sorte qu'ils discutaient entre eux, et disaient: «Qu'est-ce donc? Un enseignement nouveau! Il commande avec autorité même aux esprits impurs, et ils lui obéissent!
28 The report of him went out immediately everywhere into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.
Et sa renommée se répandit aussitôt de tous côtés, dans tous les lieux qui avoisinent la Galilée.
29 Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
En sortant de la synagogue, ils allèrent avec Jacques et Jean dans la maison de Simon et d'André.
30 Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.
La belle-mère de Simon était couchée, ayant la fièvre. Aussitôt on parla d'elle à Jésus:
31 He came and took her by the hand and raised her up. The fever left her immediately, and she served them.
il s'approcha, et la saisissant par la main, il la fit lever. A l'instant la fièvre la quitta, et elle les servit.
32 At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.
Le soir, quand le soleil fut couché, on amena à Jésus tous ceux qui étaient malades, ainsi que les démoniaques;
33 All the city was gathered together at the door.
et toute la ville se pressait à sa porte.
34 He healed many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons. He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.
Il guérit un grand nombre de malades atteints de divers maux, et il chassa beaucoup de démons. Il imposait silence aux démons, parce qu'ils le connaissaient.
35 Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.
Le lendemain matin, s’étant levé bien avant le jour, il sortit, alla dans un lieu solitaire, et il y pria.
36 Simon and those who were with him searched for him.
Simon et ceux qui étaient ordinairement avec lui, se mirent à sa recherche,
37 They found him and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
et l'ayant trouvé, ils lui dirent: «Tout le monde te cherche.»
38 He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”
Il leur répondit: «Allons ailleurs, dans les bourgades qui sont plus loin, afin que j'y prêche aussi, car c'est dans ce but que je suis sorti.»
39 He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.
Et il allait par toute la Galilée, prêchant dans les synagogues et chassant les démons.
40 A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”
Un lépreux vint vers lui, pour lui adresser une prière; il se jeta à ses pieds, et lui dit: «Si tu le veux, tu peux me rendre net.»
41 Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”
Jésus, ému de compassion, avança la main, le toucha et lui dit: «Je le veux, sois net.»
42 When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him and he was made clean.
A peine eut-il parlé, que la lèpre quitta cet homme, et il devint net.
43 He strictly warned him and immediately sent him out,
Jésus le renvoya sur-le-champ, en lui disant d'un ton sévère:
44 and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
«Garde-toi d'en rien dire à personne; mais, va, montre-toi au sacrificateur, et offre pour ta guérison, ce que Moïse a ordonné pour l'attester au peuple.»
45 But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places. People came to him from everywhere.
Cet homme s'en étant allé, se mit à publier et à répandre partout la nouvelle, de sorte que Jésus ne pouvait plus entrer publiquement dans une ville, mais il se tenait en dehors, dans des lieux solitaires; et l’on venait vers lui de toutes parts.
