< Malachi 3 >

1 “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me! The Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple. Behold, the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, is coming!” says the LORD of Armies.
Khenah, kai ih tamthang sin laicaeh to kang patoeh, anih mah ka hma ah loklam to tuh tih: akra ai ah na pakrong o ih, Angraeng loe angmah ih tempul ah angzo tih, na oep o ih lokmaihaih tamthang sinkung to angzo tih; khenah, anih loe angzo tih, tiah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah thuih.
2 “But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like launderers’ soap;
Toe anih angzohhaih niah pauep thaih kami om tih maw? Anih amtueng naah mi maw angdoe thai tih? Anih loe atui amkawsak thaih hmai, to tih ai boeh loe khukbuen pasukhaih sabung baktiah om tih:
3 and he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver; and they shall offer to the LORD offerings in righteousness.
Anih loe sum tui pakaw kami hoi sum kanglung tui pakaw kami baktiah anghnu tih; anih mah Levi caanawk to ciimsak tih, sui hoi sum kanglung baktiah nihcae to pasae tih, to naah nihcae mah Angraeng khaeah toenghaih hoi hmuen to paek o tih.
4 Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasant to the LORD as in the days of old and as in ancient years.
To naah Judah hoi Jerusalem mah paek ih hmuen loe canghnii ih aninawk, kaom hmaloe saningnawk baktih toengah, Angraeng palung anghoesak tih boeh.
5 I will come near to you to judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and do not fear me,” says the LORD of Armies.
Lokcaek hanah nangcae khae kang zoh palang han; Miklet kop kami, zu sava nuiah zaehaih sah kaminawk, amsawnlok thui kaminawk, toksakhaih atho paek ai kaminawk, lamhmainawk hoi naqahnawk pacaekthlaek kaminawk, angvin pakaak kaminawk, kai zithaih tawn ai kaminawk to lokcaek hanah, hnukung ah ka oh han, tiah misatuh kaminawk Angraeng mah thuih.
6 “For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, sons of Jacob, are not consumed.
Kai loe amkhrai ai Sithaw ah ka oh; to pongah nangcae, Jakob ih caanawk loe nam ro o mak ai.
7 From the days of your fathers you have turned away from my ordinances and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD of Armies. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’
Nam panawk dung nathuem hoiah ni ka patuk ih loklam hoiah nam khraeng o boeh, to loklam to na pazui o ai boeh. Kai khaeah amlaem o let ah, kai doeh nangcae khaeah kam laem let toeng han, tiah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah thuih. Toe kawbang maw kam laem o let han? tiah na thuih o.
8 Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In tithes and offerings.
Kami mah Sithaw ih hmuen lomh pae han oh maw? Nangcae mah kai nang taek o: toe kawbangmaw nang to kang taek o loe? tiah na thuih o. Hato thung ih maeto hoi paek ih hmuennawk na lomh o haih hoiah kai nang taek o.
9 You are cursed with the curse; for you rob me, even this whole nation.
Kai nang taek o pongah, hae acaeng kaminawk boih loe, tangoenghaih maeto na tongh o boeh.
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says the LORD of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be enough room for.
Ka imthung ah caaknaek oh thai hanah, hmuen pakuemhaih ahmuen ah hato thungah maeto sin oh: hae hmuen pongah kai hae na tanoek oh, van ih tui khongkha to ka paongh moe, suekhaih ahmuen om ai karoek to tahamhoihaih hoiah kang krai o thuih mak ai maw.
11 I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast its fruit before its time in the field,” says the LORD of Armies.
Na lawk thung ih thingthai qumpo paro amiinawk to ka thuitaek han, amiinawk mah na lawk ih thingthai qumponawk to paro o mak ai; lawk ih misurkung doeh athaih athai ai ah om mak ai boeh, tiah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah thuih.
12 “All nations shall call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says the LORD of Armies.
Prae boih ih kaminawk mah nangcae to tahamhoih kami, tiah na kawk o tih: nang loe tahamhoih prae ah na om tih, tiah misatuh kaminawk Angraeng mah thuih.
13 “Your words have been harsh against me,” says the LORD. “Yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against you?’
Nangcae mah kai kasae nang thuih o, tiah misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah thuih. Toe nangcae mah loe, Na koeh ai ih lok timaw ka thuih o? tiah na thuih o.
14 You have said, ‘It is vain to serve God,’ and ‘What profit is it that we have followed his instructions and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of Armies?
Sithaw toksak loe azom pui ni: anih koehhaih baktiah tok a sak o moe, misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng hmaa ah palungsethaih hoiah a caeh o khing cadoeh amekhaih timaw oh?
15 Now we call the proud happy; yes, those who work wickedness are built up; yes, they tempt God, and escape.’
Khen oh, amoek kaminawk loe kawbang maw tahamhoih o: ue, kahoih ai hmuen sah kaminawk doeh angraeng o; ue, Sithaw tanoek kaminawk doeh loih o, tiah na thuih o.
16 Then those who feared the LORD spoke one with another; and the LORD listened and heard, and a book of memory was written before him for those who feared the LORD and who honored his name.
Sithaw zii kaminawk loe maeto hoi maeto lok aram o; to tiah thuih o ih lok to Sithaw mah tahngaih pae; Angraeng zii kami hoi anih ih ahmin poek kaminawk hanah loe, angmah hmaa ah kaom panoek poehaih ahmin cabu thungah ahmin pakuem pae.
17 They shall be mine,” says the LORD of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make. I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.
Misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah, Atho kaom hmuennawk ka sak na niah, nihcae loe kai ih kami ah om o tih; ampa mah a toksah a capa to tahmen moe, pathlung baktih toengah, nihcae to ka pathlung han.
18 Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who does not serve him.
To naah katoeng kami hoi kasae kami tapraekhaih, Sithaw toksah kami hoi toksah ai kami tapraekhaih to na panoek o tih.
