Luke 18
1 He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray and not give up,
तब तिनीहरूले कसरी सधैँ प्रार्थना गर्नुपर्छ र निरुत्साह हुनुहुँदैन भन्ने सम्बन्धमा उहाँले तिनीहरूसँग दृष्टान्तमा बोल्नुभयो ।
2 saying, “There was a judge in a certain city who did not fear God and did not respect man.
उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “कुनै एउटा सहरमा एक जना न्यायाधीश बस्दथे, जसले परमेश्वरको भय मान्दैनथे र मानिसहरूको पनि आदर गर्दैनथे ।
3 A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Defend me from my adversary!’
त्यस सहरमा एक जना विधवा बस्थिन् र बारम्बार ती अधर्मी न्यायाधीशकहाँ आउँथिन् र भन्थिन्, ‘मलाई सहायता गर्नुहोस् र मेरो वादीको विरुद्ध मलाई न्याय दिलाउनुहोस् ।’
4 He would not for a while; but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man,
लामो समयसम्म उनले ती विधवालाई सहायता गर्ने इच्छा गरेनन्, तर केही समयपछि उनले मनमनै भने, ‘मैले परमेश्वरको भय मान्दिनँ र मानिसहरूको पनि आदर गर्दिनँ,
5 yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’”
तर यस विधवाले मलाई सताउँछे । त्यसैले, मकहाँ बारम्बार आएर यसले मलाई नसताओस् भनेर, म उसलाई न्याय दिलाउनेछु’ ।”
6 The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says.
तब प्रभुले भन्नुभयो, “ती अन्यायी न्यायाधीशले के भन्छन्, सुन ।
7 Will not God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?
के परमेश्वरले पनि उहाँलाई दिनरात पुकारा गर्ने आफ्ना चुनिएका मानिसहरूको निम्ति न्याय गरिदिनुहुन्न र? के उहाँ तिनीहरूप्रति धैर्यवान् हुनुहुन्न र?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई तुरुन्तै न्याय दिलाउनुहुनेछ । तर जब मानिसका पुत्र आउनेछन्, के उनले पृथ्वीमा विश्वास भेट्टाउनेछन् र?”
9 He also spoke this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others:
त्यसपछि उहाँले आफैँलाई धर्मी ठान्ने र अरूलाई तुच्छ ठान्ने कतिपय मानिसहरूलाई यो दृष्टान्त पनि भन्नुभयो,
10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector.
“दुई जना मानिस मन्दिरमा प्रार्थना गर्न गए– एक जना फरिसी र अर्को कर उठाउने ।
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed by himself like this: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of men: extortionists, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
फरिसीले उभिएर यसो भनेर आफ्नै बारेमा प्रार्थना गर्यो, ‘हे परमेश्वर, म तपाईंलाई धन्यवाद दिन्छु कि म अरू चोरहरूजस्तो छैनँ, अधर्मीहरूजस्तो छैनँ, व्यभिचारीजस्तो पनि छैनँ, यही कर उठाउनेजस्तो पनि छैनँ ।
12 I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.’
म हरेक हप्ता दुई पटक उपवास बस्दछु । म आफूले पाएका सबै थोकको दशांश दिन्छु ।’
13 But the tax collector, standing far away, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
तर कर उठाउने मानिसले टाढैबाट उभिएर, स्वर्गतिर पनि नहेरीकन आफ्नो छाती पिट्दै यसो भन्यो, ‘हे परमेश्वर म पापीमाथि कृपालु हुनुहोस् ।’
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, कि यो मानिस अर्को मानिसभन्दा बढी धर्मी ठहरिएर आफ्नो घर फर्क्यो, किनभने हरेक जसले आफूलाई उचाल्दछ त्यो होच्याइनेछ र जसले आफैँलाई होच्याउँछ त्यो उचालिनेछ ।
15 They were also bringing their babies to him, that he might touch them. But when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई छोइदिऊन् भनी मानिसहरूले बालबालिकाहरूलाई पनि उहाँकहाँ ल्याए, तर यो यो देखेर चेलाहरूले तिनीहरूलाई हकारे ।
16 Jesus summoned them, saying, “Allow the little children to come to me, and do not hinder them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.
तर येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “साना बालबालिकाहरूलाई मकहाँ आउन देओ, तिनीहरूलाई नरोक, किनभने स्वर्गको राज्य यस्तैहरूको हो ।
17 Most certainly, I tell you, whoever does not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”
साँच्चै म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, यदि कसैले परमेश्वरको राज्यलाई बालकले झैँ ग्रहण गर्दैन भने त्यो निश्चय नै स्वर्गमा प्रवेश गर्नेछैन ।”
18 A certain ruler asked him, saying, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit consummate (aiōnios g166) life?"
एक जना शासकले उहाँलाई सोधे, “हे असल गुरु, अनन्त जीवन प्राप्त गर्न मैले के गर्नुपर्छ?” (aiōnios g166)
19 Jesus asked him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good, except one: God.
येशूले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “किन मलाई असल भन्दछौ, एक परमेश्वरबाहेक कोही पनि असल छैन ।
20 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not give false testimony,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’”
तिमीलाई आज्ञाहरू थाहा छ– तैँले व्यभिचार नगर्नू, हत्या नगर्नू, नचोर्नू, झुटो गवाही नदिनू, आफ्ना आमाबुबाको आदर गर्नू ।”
21 He said, “I have observed all these things from my youth up.”
ती शासकले भने, “यी सब कुराहरू त मैले आफ्नो जवान अवस्थादेखि नै पालन गरिरहेको छु ।”
22 When Jesus heard these things, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute it to the poor. Then you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
जब येशूले यो सुन्नुभयो, उहाँले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीमा अझै एउटा कुराको कमी छ । तिमीले आफ्नो सारा सम्पत्ति बेच्नुपर्छ र गरिबहरूलाई दिनुपर्छ अनि तिम्रो धन स्वर्गमा हुनेछ । त्यसपछि आऊ र मेरोपछि लाग ।”
23 But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was very rich.
तर जब धनी मानिसले यो कुरा सुने, तिनी अति नै दुःखित भए, कारण तिनी धेरै धनी थिए ।
24 Jesus, seeing that he became very sad, said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!
तब येशूले तिनलाई हेरेर अति दुःखित हुँदै भन्नुभयो, “धनी मानिसलाई स्वर्गको राज्यमा प्रवेश गर्न कति गाह्रो छ!
25 For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”
धनी मानिसलाई स्वर्गको राज्यमा प्रवेश गर्नुभन्दा बरु उँटलाई सियोको नाथ्रीबाट छिर्नु सजिलो हुन्छ!”
26 Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?”
त्यो सुन्नेहरूले यसो भने, “त्यसो भए को बचाइनेछ त?”
27 But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “मानिसको निम्ति जुन कुरा असम्भव छ, त्यो परमेश्वरमा सम्भव छ ।”
28 Peter said, “Look, we have left everything and followed you.”
पत्रुसले जवाफ दिए, “हामीले आफ्ना सबै कुराहरू त्यागेर तपाईंको पछि लागेका छौँ ।”
29 He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for God’s Kingdom’s sake,
येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “साँच्चै म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, जसले परमेश्वरको राज्यको खातिर घर, श्रीमती वा दाजुभाइ, आमाबुबा वा छोराछोरीलाई त्याग्दछन्,
31 He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be completed.
बाह्र जनालाई आफूकहाँ भेला गरेर उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “हेर, हामी यरूशलेमतर्फ जाँदै छौँ, अनि मानिसका पुत्रको बारेमा अगमवक्ताहरूले लेखेका सबै कुरा पुरा हुनेछन् ।
32 For he will be delivered up to the Gentiles, will be mocked, treated shamefully, and spit on.
किनकि उनी अन्यजातिहरूका हातमा सुम्पिइनेछन् र मनिसहरूले उनलाई गिल्ला गर्नेछन् र अपमानजनक व्यवहार गर्नेछन् र उनलाई थुक्नेछन् ।
33 They will scourge and kill him. On the third day, he will rise again.”
उनलाई दण्ड दिइसकेपछि तिनीहरूले उनलाई मार्नेछन् र तेस्रो दिनमा उनी मृत्युबाट जीवित भई उठ्नेछन् ।”
34 They understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they did not understand the things that were said.
उनीहरूले यी कुनै पनि कुराहरू बुझेनन् र यो वचन उनीहरूबाट लुकाइएका थिए, यसकारण भनिएका कुनै पनि कुराहरू उनीहरूको समझमा आएन ।
35 As he came near Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road, begging.
येशू यरीहो नजिक आउनुहुँदा, एक जना दृष्टिविहीन मानिस बाटोको छेउमा बसी भिख मागिरहेको थियो ।
36 Hearing a multitude going by, he asked what this meant.
त्यो बाटो भएर ठुलो भिड गइरहेको कुरा सुनेर उसले सोध्यो, “यहाँ के हुँदै छ?”
37 They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
तिनीहरूले उसलाई भने, “नासरतका येशू यो बाटो भएर जाँदै हुनुहुन्छ ।”
38 He cried out, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”
त्यसपछि त्यो दृष्टिविहीन मानिसले चिच्याउँदै भन्यो, “हे दाऊदका पुत्र येशू, ममाथि दया गर्नुहोस् ।”
39 Those who led the way rebuked him, that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”
भिडको अगिअगि हिँडिरहेका मानिसहरूले त्यो दृष्टिविहीन मानिसलाई हकारेर चुप लाग्न भने, तर उसले झन् चर्को स्वरले कराउँदै भन्यो, “दाऊदका पुत्र, ममाथि दया गर्नुहोस् ।”
40 Standing still, Jesus commanded him to be brought to him. When he had come near, he asked him,
येशू टक्क उभिनुभयो र त्यस दृष्टिविहीन मानिसलाई आफूकहाँ ल्याउन आज्ञा गर्नुभयो । जब त्यस दृष्टिविहीन मानिस येशूको नजिक आयो, येशूले उसलाई सोध्नुभयो,
41 “What do you want me to do?” He said, “Lord, that I may see again.”
“मैले तिम्रो निम्ति के गरेको तिमी चाहन्छौ?” उसले भन्यो, “प्रभु, म देख्न चाहन्छु ।”
42 Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you.”
येशूले भन्नुभयो, “तिमी देख्ने भइ जाऊ । तिम्रो विश्वासले तिमीलाई निको पारेको छ ।”
43 Immediately he received his sight and followed him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, praised God.
तुरुन्तै उसले देख्न सक्यो र परमेश्वरको महिमा गर्दै उहाँलाई पछ्यायो । यो देखेर सबै मानिसहरूले परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गरे ।
