Joshua 22
1 Then Joshua called the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh,
౧యెహోషువ రూబేనీయులను, గాదీయులను, మనష్షే అర్థగోత్రపు వారిని పిలిపించి వారితో ఇలా అన్నాడు,
2 and said to them, “You have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, and have listened to my voice in all that I commanded you.
౨“యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే మీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినదంతా మీరు చేశారు. నేను మీ కాజ్ఞాపించిన వాటన్నిటి విషయంలో నా మాట విన్నారు.
3 You have not left your brothers these many days to this day, but have performed the duty of the commandment of the LORD your God.
౩ఇన్నిరోజులనుండి ఇప్పటి వరకూ మీరు మీ సోదరులను విడిచిపెట్టకుండా మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారం చేశారు.
4 Now the LORD your God has given rest to your brothers, as he spoke to them. Therefore now return and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you beyond the Jordan.
౪ఇప్పుడు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ సోదరులకు వాగ్దానం చేసిన ప్రకారం వారికి నెమ్మది కలగజేశాడు. కాబట్టి మీరిప్పుడు యెహోవా సేవకుడు మోషే, యొర్దాను అవతల మీకు స్వాస్థ్యంగా ఇచ్చిన ప్రాంతంలోని మీ నివాసాలకు తిరిగి వెళ్ళండి.
5 Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
౫అయితే మీ పూర్ణహృదయంతో మీ పూర్ణాత్మతో మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను ప్రేమిస్తూ, ఆయన మార్గాలన్నిటిలో నడుస్తూ, ఆయన ఆజ్ఞలను పాటిస్తూ, ఆయనను హత్తుకుని సేవిస్తూ, యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే మీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ఆజ్ఞలను ధర్మశాస్త్రాన్ని అనుసరించి నడుచుకోండి.”
6 So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away; and they went to their tents.
౬అతడిలా చెప్పి వారిని దీవించి పంపివేశాడు. తరువాత వారు తమ నివాసాలకు వెళ్ళిపోయారు.
7 Now to the one half-tribe of Manasseh Moses had given inheritance in Bashan; but Joshua gave to the other half among their brothers beyond the Jordan westward. Moreover when Joshua sent them away to their tents, he blessed them,
౭మోషే బాషానులో మనష్షే అర్థగోత్రానికీ యెహోషువ పడమరగా యొర్దాను ఇవతల వారి సోదరుల్లో మిగిలిన అర్థగోత్రానికీ స్వాస్థ్యం ఇచ్చారు. యెహోషువ వారి నివాసాలకు వారిని పంపినప్పుడు అతడు వారిని దీవించి వారితో ఇలా అన్నాడు,
8 and spoke to them, saying, “Return with much wealth to your tents, with very much livestock, with silver, with gold, with bronze, with iron, and with very much clothing. Divide the plunder of your enemies with your brothers.”
౮“మీరు చాలా ధనంతో అతి విస్తారమైన పశువులూ వెండి, బంగారం, ఇత్తడి, ఇనుము, అతి విస్తారమైన వస్త్రాలతో మీ నివాసాలకు తిరిగి వెళ్తున్నారు. మీ శత్రువుల దగ్గర దోచుకున్న సొమ్మును మీరు, మీ సోదరులు కలిసి పంచుకోండి.”
9 The children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, which they owned, according to the commandment of the LORD by Moses.
౯కాబట్టి రూబేనీయులు, గాదీయులు, మనష్షే అర్థ గోత్రపువారు యెహోవా మోషేద్వారా సెలవిచ్చిన మాట ప్రకారం తాము స్వాధీనపరచుకున్న స్వాస్థ్యభూమి అయిన గిలాదుకు వెళ్లడానికి కనాను ప్రాంతంలోని షిలోహులోని ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దగ్గర నుండి బయలుదేరారు. కనాను ప్రాంతంలో ఉన్న యొర్దాను ప్రదేశానికి వచ్చినప్పుడు
10 When they came to the region near the Jordan, that is in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh built an altar there by the Jordan, a great altar to look at.
౧౦రూబేనీయులు, గాదీయులు, మనష్షే అర్థ గోత్రపు వారు అక్కడ యొర్దాను నది దగ్గర ఒక బలిపీఠం కట్టారు. అది చూడడానికి గొప్ప బలిపీఠమే.
11 The children of Israel heard this, “Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar along the border of the land of Canaan, in the region around the Jordan, on the side that belongs to the children of Israel.”
౧౧అప్పుడు రూబేనీయులు, గాదీయులు, మనష్షే అర్థగోత్రపు వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సరిహద్దు దగ్గర యొర్దాను ప్రదేశంలో కనాను ప్రాంతం ఎదురుగా బలిపీఠం కట్టారని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు సమాచారం వచ్చింది.
12 When the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up against them to war.
౧౨ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు ఆ మాట విన్నప్పుడు సమాజమంతా వారితో యుధ్ధం చేయడానికి షిలోహులో పోగయ్యారు.
13 The children of Israel sent to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest.
౧౩ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు గిలాదులో ఉన్న రూబేనీయులు, గాదీయులు, మనష్షే అర్థ గోత్రపువారి దగ్గరికి యాజకుడు ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడు ఫీనెహాసును పంపించారు.
14 With him were ten princes, one prince of a fathers’ house for each of the tribes of Israel; and they were each head of their fathers’ houses among the thousands of Israel.
౧౪అతనితో ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రాలన్నిటిలో ప్రతిదానికీ ఒకరి చొప్పున పదిమంది ప్రముఖులను పంపించారు. వారంతా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు ప్రతినిధులు, తమ పూర్వీకుల కుటుంబాలకు నాయకులు.
15 They came to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, to the land of Gilead, and they spoke with them, saying,
౧౫వారు గిలాదు ప్రాంతంలో ఉన్న రూబేను, గాదు, మనష్షే అర్థ గోత్రం వారితో ఇలా అన్నారు,
16 “The whole congregation of the LORD says, ‘What trespass is this that you have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away today from following the LORD, in that you have built yourselves an altar, to rebel today against the LORD?
౧౬“యెహోవా సర్వసమాజం వారు ఇలా అంటున్నారు, ‘ఈ రోజు యెహోవాను అనుసరించడం మాని, మీ కోసం బలిపీఠం కట్టుకుని ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుని మీద మీరెందుకు తిరుగుబాటు చేస్తున్నారు?
17 Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we have not cleansed ourselves to this day, although there came a plague on the congregation of the LORD,
౧౭పెయోరు పర్వతంలో మనం చేసిన దోషం మనకు సరిపోదా? దానివల్ల యెహోవా సమాజంలో తెగులు పుట్టింది. ఇంకా మనం దానినుండి శుద్ధులం కాలేదు.
18 that you must turn away today from following the LORD? It will be, since you rebel today against the LORD, that tomorrow he will be angry with the whole congregation of Israel.
౧౮ఈ రోజు మీరు కూడా యెహోవాను అనుసరించడం మానివేస్తారా? మీరు కూడా ఈ రోజు యెహోవా మీద తిరుగుబాటు చేస్తే రేపు ఆయన ఇశ్రాయేలు సమాజమంతటి మీదా కోపిస్తాడు.
19 However, if the land of your possession is unclean, then pass over to the land of the possession of the LORD, in which the LORD’s tabernacle dwells, and take possession among us; but do not rebel against the LORD, nor rebel against us, in building an altar other than the LORD our God’s altar.
౧౯మీ స్వాధీనమైన ప్రదేశం అపవిత్రమైనది అయితే యెహోవా ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారం ఉండే ప్రదేశానికి వచ్చి మా మధ్య స్వాస్థ్యం తీసుకోండి. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా బలిపీఠం గాక వేరొక బలిపీఠం కట్టి యెహోవా మీదా, మామీదా తిరగబడవద్దు.
20 Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the devoted thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? That man did not perish alone in his iniquity.’”
౨౦జెరహు కుమారుడు ఆకాను ప్రతిష్ఠితమైన దానివిషయంలో ద్రోహం చేసినందు వలన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సమాజమంతటి మీదికి ఉగ్రత రాలేదా? తన దోషానికి అతడొక్కడే నాశనం కాలేదు కదా.’”
21 Then the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh answered, and spoke to the heads of the thousands of Israel,
౨౧అప్పుడు రూబేను, గాదు, మనష్షే అర్థగోత్రం వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కుటుంబాల నాయకులకు ఇలా జవాబిచ్చారు,
22 “The Mighty One, God, the LORD, the Mighty One, God, the LORD, he knows; and Israel shall know: if it was in rebellion, or if in trespass against the LORD (do not save us today),
౨౨“యెహోవాయే గొప్ప దేవుడు! యెహోవాయే గొప్ప దేవుడు! ఆ సంగతి ఆయనకు తెలుసు, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు కూడా తెలుసుకోవాలి. ద్రోహం చేతగానీ యెహోవా మీద తిరుగుబాటు చేతగానీ మేము ఈ పని చేసి ఉంటే ఈ రోజున మమ్మల్ని బతకనివ్వవద్దు.
23 that we have built us an altar to turn away from following the LORD; or if to offer burnt offering or meal offering, or if to offer sacrifices of peace offerings, let the LORD himself require it.
౨౩యెహోవాను అనుసరించకుండా దహనబలి గానీ నైవేద్యం గానీ సమాధాన బలులు గానీ దానిమీద అర్పించడానికి మేము ఈ బలిపీఠాన్ని కట్టి ఉంటే యెహోవాయే మమ్మల్ని శిక్షిస్తాడు గాక!
24 “If we have not out of concern done this, and for a reason, saying, ‘In time to come your children might speak to our children, saying, “What have you to do with the LORD, the God of Israel?
౨౪రాబోయే కాలంలో మీ పిల్లలు మా పిల్లలతో, ‘ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాతో మీకేమి సంబంధం?
25 For the LORD has made the Jordan a border between us and you, you children of Reuben and children of Gad. You have no portion in the LORD.”’ So your children might make our children cease from fearing the LORD.
౨౫మీకు మాకు మధ్య యెహోవా యొర్దాను నదిని సరిహద్దుగా చేశాడు. రూబేనీయులారా, గాదీయులారా, మీకు యెహోవాతో సంబంధం లేదు’ అంటారేమో అని భయపడి మేమిలా చేశాం. మీ పిల్లలు మా పిల్లలను యెహోవాను సేవించకుండా చేస్తారేమో.
26 “Therefore we said, ‘Let’s now prepare to build ourselves an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice;
౨౬కాబట్టి మేము, ‘మనం బలిపీఠం కట్టుకుందాం. అది దహనబలులకూ మరి ఎలాటి బలులకూ కాదు.
27 but it will be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we may perform the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings, with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings;’ that your children may not tell our children in time to come, ‘You have no portion in the LORD.’
౨౭మన దహనబలులూ బలులతో సమాధాన బలులతో మనం యెహోవాకు సేవచేయాలనీ, యెహోవా దగ్గర మీకు పాలు ఏదీ లేదు అనే మాట మీ పిల్లలు మా పిల్లలతో ఎన్నడూ చెప్పకుండా అది మాకు మీకు, మన తరవాతి తరాల వారి మధ్య సాక్షిగా ఉంటుంది’ అనుకున్నాము.”
28 “Therefore we said, ‘It shall be, when they tell us or our generations this in time to come, that we shall say, “Behold the pattern of the LORD’s altar, which our fathers made, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice; but it is a witness between us and you.”’
౨౮“కాబట్టి ఇక మీదట వారు మాతో గాని మా సంతానంతో గాని అలా అంటే, మేము ‘మన పూర్వీకులు చేసిన బలిపీఠపు ఆకారం చూడండి, ఇది దహనబలులూ, బలి అర్పణలూ అర్పించడానికి కాదు, మాకు మీకు మధ్య సాక్షిగా ఉండడానికే’ అని చెప్పాలని అనుకున్నాం.
29 “Far be it from us that we should rebel against the LORD, and turn away today from following the LORD, to build an altar for burnt offering, for meal offering, or for sacrifice, besides the LORD our God’s altar that is before his tabernacle!”
౨౯మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారం ఎదురుగా ఉన్న ఆయన బలిపీఠం తప్ప దహనబలులకు గానీ నైవేద్యాలకు గానీ బలులకు గానీ వేరొక బలిపీఠాన్ని కట్టి, ఈ రోజు యెహోవాను అనుసరించకుండా తొలగిపోయి ఆయన మీద తిరగబడడం మాకు దూరమవుతుంది గాక.”
30 When Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation, even the heads of the thousands of Israel that were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them well.
౩౦రూబేనీయులు, గాదీయులు, మనష్షీయులు చెప్పిన మాటలు యాజకుడైన ఫీనెహాసు, ప్రజల నాయకులు, అంటే అతనితో ఉన్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలు విని సంతోషించారు.
31 Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the children of Reuben, to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, “Today we know that the LORD is among us, because you have not committed this trespass against the LORD. Now you have delivered the children of Israel out of the LORD’s hand.”
౩౧అప్పుడు యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడు ఫీనెహాసు, రూబేనీయులతో గాదీయులతో మనష్షీయులతో “మీరు యెహోవాకు విరోధంగా ఈ ద్రోహం చేయలేదు కాబట్టి యెహోవా మన మధ్య ఉన్నాడని ఈ రోజు తెలుసుకున్నాం. ఇప్పుడు మీరు యెహోవా చేతిలో నుండి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను విడిపించారు” అని చెప్పాడు.
32 Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.
౩౨అప్పుడు యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడు ఫీనెహాసు, ఆ నాయకులూ గిలాదులోని రూబేను, గాదు గోత్రాల నుండి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దగ్గరికి తిరిగి వచ్చి ప్రజలకు ఆ మాట తెలియచేశారు.
33 The thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and spoke no more of going up against them to war, to destroy the land in which the children of Reuben and the children of Gad lived.
౩౩అది విని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు సంతోషించారు. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు దేవుని స్తుతించి, రూబేనీయులు గాదీయులు నివసించే ప్రదేశాన్ని పాడు చేయకుండా వారి మీద యుధ్ధం చేయడం ఆపేశారు.
34 The children of Reuben and the children of Gad named the altar “A Witness Between Us that the LORD is God.”
౩౪రూబేనీయులు, గాదీయులు “యెహోవాయే దేవుడు అనడానికి ఆ బలిపీఠం మన మధ్య సాక్షి” అని చెప్పి దానికి “సాక్షి” అనే పేరు పెట్టారు.
