< Joshua 22 >

1 Then Joshua called the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh,
Na Joshua el pangoneni mwet in sruf lal Reuben, ac sruf lal Gad, ac sruf lal Manasseh Kutulap
2 and said to them, “You have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, and have listened to my voice in all that I commanded you.
ac fahk nu selos, “Kowos aksafyela tari ma Moses, mwet kulansap lun LEUM GOD, el sapkin, ac kowos akos ma nukewa nga fahk nu suwos.
3 You have not left your brothers these many days to this day, but have performed the duty of the commandment of the LORD your God.
Ke lusen pacl sac nwe misenge kowos tiana ngetla liki mwet Israel wiowos, ac kowos akos na ma LEUM GOD lowos El sapkin nu suwos.
4 Now the LORD your God has given rest to your brothers, as he spoke to them. Therefore now return and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you beyond the Jordan.
Inge, ke LEUM GOD lowos El sang tari misla nu sin mwet wiowos inge oana ma El wulela kac, kowos folokla nu in acn suwos su oan kutulap in Infacl Jordan, ma Moses, mwet kulansap lun LEUM GOD, el tuh sot lowos.
5 Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
Tusruktu, kowos liyaung ac akos ma sap ma Moses, mwet kulansap lun LEUM GOD, el tuh sot nu suwos, in lungse LEUM GOD lowos, in oru ma lungse lal, in akos ma sap nukewa lal, in oaru nu sel, ac in kulansupwal ke insiowos ac ngunuwos kewa.”
6 So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away; and they went to their tents.
Ouinge Joshua el akinsewowoyalos ac supwalosla, na elos folokla nu yen selos.
7 Now to the one half-tribe of Manasseh Moses had given inheritance in Bashan; but Joshua gave to the other half among their brothers beyond the Jordan westward. Moreover when Joshua sent them away to their tents, he blessed them,
Nu sin tafun sruf lal Manasseh, Moses el sang ipin acn se lalos in acn Bashan, ac nu sin tafu sruf sac Joshua el sang ipin acn se layen roto in Infacl Jordan, inmasrlon mwet Israel wialos. Ke Joshua el supwalosla nu yen selos ah, el akinsewowoyalosla meet
8 and spoke to them, saying, “Return with much wealth to your tents, with very much livestock, with silver, with gold, with bronze, with iron, and with very much clothing. Divide the plunder of your enemies with your brothers.”
ac fahk, “Folokla nu yen suwos wi mwe kasrup su kowos eisla sin mwet lokoalok lowos — kosro nutuwos, silver, gold, bronze, osra, oayapa nuknuk pukanten — ac kitalik ma inge inmasrlon mwet wiowos.”
9 The children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, which they owned, according to the commandment of the LORD by Moses.
Na mwet in sruf lal Reuben, sruf lal Gad, ac sruf lal Manasseh Kutulap elos fahsr liki mwet Israel in acn Shiloh in Canaan, ac folokla nu Gilead, acn selos su elos eis oana ma LEUM GOD El fahk nu sel Moses.
10 When they came to the region near the Jordan, that is in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh built an altar there by the Jordan, a great altar to look at.
Ke sruf lal Reuben, sruf lal Gad, ac sruf lal Manasseh Kutulap elos tuku sun acn Geliloth, su oan apkuran nu Infacl Jordan, elos tulokunak sie loang na lulap sisken infacl ah.
11 The children of Israel heard this, “Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar along the border of the land of Canaan, in the region around the Jordan, on the side that belongs to the children of Israel.”
Na sulkakinyuk nu sin mwet Israel saya nukewa, “Kowos in lohng, tuh sruf lal Reuben, Gad, ac Manasseh Kutulap elos tulokunak sie loang in acn Geliloth, ke layen lasr sisken Infacl Jordan!”
12 When the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up against them to war.
Ke mwet Israel elos lohng ma inge, elos nukewa toeni nu Shiloh, su oan roto in Infacl Jordan, tuh elos in mweuni sruf su muta layen nu kutulap.
13 The children of Israel sent to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest.
Na mwet Israel elos supwalla Phinehas, wen natul Eleazar mwet tol, nu sin sruf lal Reuben, Gad, ac Manasseh Kutulap in acn Gilead, lefahl kutulap in Infacl Jordan.
14 With him were ten princes, one prince of a fathers’ house for each of the tribes of Israel; and they were each head of their fathers’ houses among the thousands of Israel.
Ac elos supwala pac singoul sin mwet kol lalos welul Phinehas, kais sie ke sruf singoul ah, ac mwet inge pa sifen sou in kais sie sou lulap.
15 They came to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, to the land of Gilead, and they spoke with them, saying,
Elos tuku sun acn Gilead nu yurin mwet lun Reuben, Gad, ac Manasseh Kutulap,
16 “The whole congregation of the LORD says, ‘What trespass is this that you have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away today from following the LORD, in that you have built yourselves an altar, to rebel today against the LORD?
na ke inen mwet lun LEUM GOD nukewa, elos fahk nu selos, “Efu kowos ku orek pwapa koluk ac forla liki God lun Israel? Ke kowos orala loang se inge nu suwos sifacna, kowos lain LEUM GOD!
17 Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we have not cleansed ourselves to this day, although there came a plague on the congregation of the LORD,
Ya kowos tia esam ma koluk lasr in acn Peor, ke LEUM GOD El akkeokye mwet lal ke mas upa? Kut srakna keok ke ma inge. Ya soenna fal orekma koluk lasr nu sin LEUM GOD?

Na mea, kowos ac forla liki LEUM GOD? Kowos fin forla liki LEUM GOD misenge, El ac fah arulana kasrkusrak sin mwet Israel nukewa lutu.
19 However, if the land of your possession is unclean, then pass over to the land of the possession of the LORD, in which the LORD’s tabernacle dwells, and take possession among us; but do not rebel against the LORD, nor rebel against us, in building an altar other than the LORD our God’s altar.
Ke ma inge, acn lowos an fin tia fal in orek alu we, fahsru nu in acn sin LEUM GOD, yen Lohm Nuknuk sin LEUM GOD oan we, ac eis kutu acn lasr uh lowos. Nimet kowos lain LEUM GOD ac oru tuh kut in wi pac lain God, ke kowos sifil musai sie pac loang sayen loang lun LEUM GOD lasr.
20 Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the devoted thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? That man did not perish alone in his iniquity.’”

21 Then the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh answered, and spoke to the heads of the thousands of Israel,
Na mwet ke sruf lal Reuben, Gad, ac Manasseh Kutulap elos topuk sifen sou lun mwet Israel su muta lefahl roto in Infacl Jordan, ac fahk,
22 “The Mighty One, God, the LORD, the Mighty One, God, the LORD, he knows; and Israel shall know: if it was in rebellion, or if in trespass against the LORD (do not save us today),
“El Su Fulatlana, LEUM GOD, El God! El Su Fulatlana, LEUM GOD, El God! El etu lah efu ku kut oru ma inge, ac kut ke kowos in etu pac! Fin ma kut oru inge lainul ac kunausla wulela lasr nu sel, lela in anwuki kut!

Ac kut fin tia akos LEUM GOD ac musai loang lasr in orek mwe kisa firir, ku mwe kisa wheat, ku mwe kisa in akinsewowo, na lela LEUM GOD Elan nununkekut kac.
24 “If we have not out of concern done this, and for a reason, saying, ‘In time to come your children might speak to our children, saying, “What have you to do with the LORD, the God of Israel?
Mo! Kut oru ma inge mweyen kut sensen mu ac mau sie len tulik nutuwos uh ac ku in fahk nu sin tulik natusr uh, ‘Mea lomtal nu ke LEUM GOD lun Israel?
25 For the LORD has made the Jordan a border between us and you, you children of Reuben and children of Gad. You have no portion in the LORD.”’ So your children might make our children cease from fearing the LORD.
God El orala tuh Infacl Jordan in srikutla liki kowos, mwet Reuben ac Gad! Wangin ip lomtal nu sin LEUM GOD!’ Na fin ouinge, tulik nutuwos an ac mau oru tulik natusr uh in tila alu nu sin LEUM GOD.
26 “Therefore we said, ‘Let’s now prepare to build ourselves an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice;
Na pa kut orala loang se, tuh tia ma nu ke mwe kisa firir ku kutena kain kisa.
27 but it will be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we may perform the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings, with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings;’ that your children may not tell our children in time to come, ‘You have no portion in the LORD.’
Tia pa ingan sripa lasr uh. Kut oru tuh in mwe akul inmasrlosr ac kowos ac oayapa fwil tokosr uh, kut in mau ku in alu nu sin LEUM GOD ye mutun Lohm Nuknuk Mutal sel, wi kisa lasr inge ke mwe kisa firir ac mwe kisa in akinsewowo. 28 “Therefore we said, ‘It shall be, when they tell us or our generations this in time to come, that we shall say, “Behold the pattern of the LORD’s altar, which our fathers made, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice; but it is a witness between us and you.”’
Nunak lasr uh pa fin fahsr nwe tok tulik nutuwos elos fahk kas ouinge, na tulik natusr uh ac ku in fahk mu, ‘Liye, mwet matu lasr ah orala loang se oana loang lun LEUM GOD. Tia loang in mwe kisa firir ku kutena kain in kisa, a tuh in sie mwe akul inmasrlosr ac kowos.’
29 “Far be it from us that we should rebel against the LORD, and turn away today from following the LORD, to build an altar for burnt offering, for meal offering, or for sacrifice, besides the LORD our God’s altar that is before his tabernacle!”
Wangin in nunak lasr kut in lain LEUM GOD, ku forla lukel misenge ke kut musaeak loang se nu ke mwe kisa firir, ku mwe kisa wheat, ku kutena kain in kisa. Kut tia lungse musaela kutena loang sayen loang lun LEUM GOD lasr su oan ye mutun Lohm Nuknuk Mutal sel.”
30 When Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation, even the heads of the thousands of Israel that were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them well.
Ke Phinehas mwet tol, ac mwet kol singoul ke sruf lun Israel su muta layen nu roto, elos lohng ma mwet ke sruf lun Reuben, Gad ac Manasseh Kutulap elos fahk inge, na elos insewowo kac.
31 Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the children of Reuben, to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, “Today we know that the LORD is among us, because you have not committed this trespass against the LORD. Now you have delivered the children of Israel out of the LORD’s hand.”
Na Phinehas, wen natul Eleazar mwet tol, el fahk nu selos, “Inge kut etu lah LEUM GOD El wi kut mweyen kowos tia oru kutena ma in lainul ke ma kowos oru inge. Ouinge kowos molela Israel liki kaiyuk lun LEUM GOD.”
32 Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.
Na Phinehas wen natul Eleazar, ac mwet kol lun mwet Israel, elos som liki mwet lal Reuben ac Gad in acn Gilead, ac folokla nu Canaan nu yurin mwet Israel, ac fahkak ma inge nukewa nu selos.
33 The thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and spoke no more of going up against them to war, to destroy the land in which the children of Reuben and the children of Gad lived.
Mwet Israel elos insewowo ke ma elos lohng ac kaksakin God. Elos tila sramsramkin in som mweun ac kunausla acn sin mwet Reuben ac mwet Gad.
34 The children of Reuben and the children of Gad named the altar “A Witness Between Us that the LORD is God.”
Ac mwet Reuben ac mwet Gad elos fahk, “Loang se inge sie mwe loh nu sesr nukewa lah LEUM GOD El God.” Ouinge elos sang inen loang sac “Mwe Loh.”
