John 20
1 Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went early, while it was still dark, to the tomb, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.
௧வாரத்தின் முதல்நாள் காலையில், அதிக இருட்டோடு, மகதலேனா மரியாள் கல்லறைக்கு வந்து கல்லறையை அடைத்திருந்த கல் எடுத்துப்போடப்பட்டிருப்பதைப் பார்த்தாள்.
2 Therefore she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him!”
௨உடனே அவள் ஓடி, சீமோன் பேதுருவிடமும் இயேசுவிற்கு அன்பாக இருந்த மற்ற சீடனிடமும்போய்: கர்த்த்தரைக் கல்லறையிலிருந்து எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போய்விட்டார்கள், அவரை வைத்த இடம் எங்களுக்குத் தெரியவில்லை என்றாள்.
3 Therefore Peter and the other disciple went out, and they went toward the tomb.
௩அப்பொழுது பேதுருவும் மற்ற சீடனும் கல்லறைக்குப் போவதற்காகப் புறப்பட்டு, இருவரும் ஒருமித்து ஓடினார்கள்.
4 They both ran together. The other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.
௪பேதுருவைவிட மற்ற சீடன் வேகமாக ஓடி, முதலில் கல்லறைக்கு வந்து,
5 Stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not enter in.
௫அதற்குள்ளே குனிந்து பார்த்து, துணிகள் கிடக்கிறதைப் பார்த்தான்; ஆனாலும் அவன் உள்ளே போகவில்லை.
6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and entered into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying,
௬சீமோன்பேதுரு அவனுக்குப் பின்னே வந்து, கல்லறைக்குள்ளே நுழைந்து,
7 and the cloth that had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place by itself.
௭துணிகள் கிடக்கிறதையும், அவருடைய தலையில் சுற்றியிருந்த துணி மற்றத் துணிகளோடு வைக்காமல் தனியே ஒரு இடத்திலே சுருட்டி வைத்திருக்கிறதையும் பார்த்தான்.
8 So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed.
௮முதலில் கல்லறைக்கு வந்த மற்ற சீடனும் அப்பொழுது உள்ளே நுழைந்து, பார்த்து விசுவாசித்தான்.
9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
௯அவர் மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுந்திருக்கவேண்டும் என்கிற வேதவாக்கியத்தை அவர்கள் இன்னும் அறியாமல் இருந்தார்கள்.
10 So the disciples went away again to their own homes.
௧0பின்பு அந்தச் சீடர்கள் தங்களுடைய இடத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போனார்கள்.
11 But Mary was standing outside at the tomb weeping. So as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb,
௧௧மரியாள் கல்லறையின் அருகே வெளியே நின்று அழுதுகொண்டிருந்தாள்; அப்படி அழுதுகொண்டிருக்கும்போது அவள் குனிந்து கல்லறைக்கு உள்ளே பார்த்து,
12 and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
௧௨இயேசுவின் சரீரம் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த இடத்திலே வெள்ளை உடை அணிந்தவர்களாக இரண்டு தூதர்கள், தலைபக்கம் ஒருவனும் கால்பக்கம் ஒருவனுமாக, உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறதைப் பார்த்தாள்.
13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.”
௧௩அவர்கள் அவளைப் பார்த்து: பெண்ணே, ஏன் அழுகிறாய் என்றார்கள். அதற்கு அவள்: என் ஆண்டவரை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போய்விட்டார்கள், அவரை வைத்த இடம் எனக்குத் தெரியவில்லை என்றாள்.
14 When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, and did not know that it was Jesus.
௧௪இவைகளைச் சொல்லிப் பின்பக்கம் திரும்பி, இயேசு நிற்கிறதைப் பார்த்தாள்; ஆனாலும் அவரை இயேசு என்று அறியாமல் இருந்தாள்.
15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” She, supposing him to be the gardener, said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.”
௧௫இயேசு அவளைப் பார்த்து: பெண்ணே, ஏன் அழுகிறாய், யாரைத் தேடுகிறாய் என்றார். அவள், அவரைத் தோட்டக்காரன் என்று நினைத்து: ஐயா, நீர் அவரை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போயிருந்தால், அவரை வைத்த இடத்தை எனக்குச் சொல்லும், நான் போய் அவரை எடுத்துக்கொள்வேன் என்றாள்.
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him, “Rabboni!” which is to say, “Teacher!”
௧௬இயேசு அவளைப் பார்த்து: மரியாளே என்றார். அவள் திரும்பிப்பார்த்து: ரபூனி என்றாள்; அதற்குப் போதகரே என்று அர்த்தம்.
17 Jesus said to her, “Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
௧௭இயேசு அவளைப் பார்த்து: என்னைத் தொடாதே, நான் இன்னும் என் பிதாவினிடம் திரும்பிப்போகவில்லை; நீ என் சகோதரர்களிடம்போய், நான் என் பிதாவினிடமும் உங்களுடைய பிதாவினிடமும், என் தேவனிடமும் உங்களுடைய தேவனிடமும் திரும்பிப்போகிறேன் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லு என்றார்.
18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had said these things to her.
௧௮மகதலேனா மரியாள் போய், தான் இயேசுவைப் பார்த்ததையும், அவர் தன்னிடம் சொன்னவைகளையும் சீடர்களுக்கு அறிவித்தாள்.
19 When therefore it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were locked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the middle and said to them, “Peace be to you.”
௧௯வாரத்தின் முதல்நாளாகிய அன்றையதினம் மாலைநேரத்திலே, சீடர்கள் கூடியிருந்த இடத்தில், யூதர்களுக்குப் பயந்ததினால் கதவுகள் பூட்டியிருக்கும்போது, இயேசு வந்து அவர்கள் நடுவில் நின்று: உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் என்றார்.
20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad when they saw the Lord.
௨0அவர் இப்படிச் சொல்லித் தம்முடைய கரங்களையும் விலாவையும் அவர்களுக்குக் காட்டினார். சீடர்கள் இயேசுவைப் பார்த்து சந்தோஷப்பட்டார்கள்.
21 Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”
௨௧இயேசு மீண்டும் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் உண்டாவதாக; பிதா என்னை அனுப்பினதுபோல நானும் உங்களை அனுப்புகிறேன் என்று சொல்லி,
22 When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit!
௨௨அவர்கள்மேல் ஊதி: பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள்;
23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, they have been forgiven them. If you retain anyone’s sins, they have been retained.”
௨௩எவர்களுடைய பாவங்களை மன்னிக்கிறீர்களோ அவைகள் அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும், எவர்களுடைய பாவங்களை மன்னிக்காமல் இருக்கிறீர்களோ அவைகள் அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படாமல் இருக்கும் என்றார்.
24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
௨௪இயேசு வந்திருந்தபோது பன்னிரண்டுபேரில் ஒருவனாகிய திதிமு என்னப்பட்ட தோமா என்பவன் அவர்களோடு இருக்கவில்லை.
25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
௨௫மற்றச் சீடர்கள்: இயேசுவை பார்த்தோம் என்று அவனிடம் சொன்னார்கள். அதற்கு அவன்: அவருடைய கைகளில் ஆணிகளினால் உண்டான காயத்தை நான் பார்த்து, அந்தக் காயத்திலே என் விரலைவிட்டு, என் கையை அவருடைய விலாவிலே வைத்துப்பார்க்காமல் விசுவாசிக்கமாட்டேன் என்றான்.
26 After eight days, again his disciples were inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors being locked, and stood in the middle, and said, “Peace be to you.”
௨௬மீண்டும் எட்டு நாட்களுக்குப்பின்பு அவருடைய சீடர்கள் வீட்டிற்குள்ளே இருந்தார்கள்; தோமாவும் அவர்களோடு இருந்தான்; கதவுகள் பூட்டப்பட்டிருந்தது. அப்பொழுது இயேசு வந்து அவர்கள் நடுவில் நின்று: உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் என்றார்.
27 Then he said to Thomas, “Reach here your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
௨௭பின்பு அவர் தோமாவைப் பார்த்து: நீ உன் விரலை இங்கே நீட்டி, என் கரங்களைப் பார், உன் கையை நீட்டி, என் விலாவிலே போடு, அவிசுவாசியாக இல்லாமல் விசுவாசியாக இரு என்றார்.
28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
௨௮தோமா அவருக்கு மறுமொழியாக: என் ஆண்டவரே! என் தேவனே! என்றான்.
29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”
௨௯அதற்கு இயேசு: தோமாவே, நீ என்னைப் பார்த்ததினாலே விசுவாசித்தாய், பார்க்காமல் இருந்தும் விசுவாசிக்கிறவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள் என்றார்.
30 Therefore Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;
௩0இந்தப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்படாத வேறு அநேக அற்புதங்களையும் இயேசு தமது சீடர்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் செய்தார்.
31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.
௩௧இயேசு தேவனுடைய குமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்து என்று நீங்கள் விசுவாசிப்பதற்காகவும், விசுவாசித்து அவருடைய நாமத்தினாலே நித்தியஜீவனைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வதற்காகவும், இவைகள் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
