< John 15 >

1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.
NGAI wain melel pot, a Sam ai saumat.
2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
Ra karos, me podidi ong ia, ap sota wa, a kin lepuke sang, a karos me wa, a kin koko, pwen wa totola.
3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
Komail ari makelekel kidar padak, me I ki ong komail er.
4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.
Komail podidi ong ia o ngai ong komail. Ra sota kak pein wa, ma a so podidi ong wain, iduen komail, ma komail so podidi ong ia.
5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
Ngai wain pot, a ra kan komail. Me podidi ong ia o ngai ong i, iei i, me kin wawa toto; pwe komail sota kak wia meakot ma sota ngai.
6 If a man does not remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
Meamen so podidi ong ia, pan lokidokila dueta ra, ap mongedi; aramas kin wasa ir pena, kase ir ala nani iai, ir ari pan rongala.
7 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
Ma komail podidi ong ia, o ai padak kan podidi ong komail, komail pan poeki meakot, me komail mauki, a a pan pwai ong komail.
8 “In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.
Nan i me Sam ai kalingana kila, omail wawa toto, o komail pan wiala ai tounpadak kan.
9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.
Due Sam o pok ong ia er, iduen I pil pok ong komail; komail podidi ong ai limpok!
10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
Ma komail pan peiki ong ai kusoned akan, komail pan podidi ong ai limpok, duen I kin peiki ong en Sam ai kusoned akan, o podidi ong a limpok.
11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
Mepukat I padaki ong komail er, pwe ai peren en podidi ong komail, o omail peren en unsokela.
12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
Nan iet ai kusoned: Komail en poke pena, duen i pok ong komail er.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
Sota me a limpok laude sang met, me pan mueid kila maur i kompokepa kan.
14 You are my friends if you do whatever I command you.
Komail me kompokepa i, ma komail wiawia, me I indai ong komail.
15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
I solar kaadaneki komail ladu, pwe ladu sasa, me a saumas kin wia. A I kaadane kin komail kompokepa i kan, aki I kasale ong komail er karos, me I rongadar sang ren Sam ai.
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
Kaidin komail me pil ia dar, a ngai me piladar komail o kilele ong komail, en kokowei kapareda wa, o omail wa en mimieta, pwe karos, me komail pan poeki ren Sam ni ad ai, a pan kotiki ong komail.
17 “I command these things to you, that you may love one another.
A iet me I panaui kin komail, komail en poke pena!
18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
Ma sappa kailong kin komail, komail en asa, me a kailong kin ia mo omail.
19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
Ma kisan sappa komail, sappa pan pok ong me a; a komail kaidin kisan sappa, pwe I pil komail dar sang sappa, iei me sappa kailong kin komail.
20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
Tamatamanda kasoi o, me I kasoia ong komail er: Ladu me sota laude sang a saumas ma re kame ia er, re pil pan kame komail. A ma irail pan kapwaiada ai padak, re pil pan kapwaiada omail.
21 But they will do all these things to you for my name’s sake, because they do not know him who sent me.
A mepukat karos re pan wiai ong komail pweki ad ai, aki ar so asa me kadar ia dor.
22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
Ma I so kodo o padaki ong irail, nan sota pan dip arail, a met sota peikid pan dip arail.
23 He who hates me, hates my Father also.
Me kailong kin ia, pil kin kailongki Sam ai.
24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have had sin. But now they have seen and also hated both me and my Father.
Ma I so wiadar dodok kan nan pung arail, me sota amen wiadar, nan sota pan dip arail. A met irail kilanger o kailong kin ia er o pil Sam ai.
25 But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’
A mepukat wiauier pwe masan o en pwaida, me intingidier nan arail kapung: Irail kailong kin ia, a sota karepa.
26 “When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.
A saunkamait lao kodoer, me I pan kadarado sang ren Sam, iei Ngen en melel, me kin kodo sang ren Sam, i me pan kadede ngai.
27 You will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
A komail pil pan kadede, pwe komail iang ia er sang ni tapi o.
