< Jeremiah 18 >

1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
Daytoy ti sao ni Yahweh nga immay kenni Jeremias a kunana,
2 “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear my words.”
“Tumakderka ket mapanka iti balay ti agdamdamili, ta ipakaammok kenka sadiay ti mensahek”
3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and behold, he was making something on the wheels.
Isu a napanak iti balay ti agdamdamili, ket nakitak! Madama nga agtrabtrabaho ti agdamdamili iti pagdamilian.
4 When the vessel that he made of the clay was marred in the hand of the potter, he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Ngem ti banga a suksukogenna ket nadadael iti imana, isu a binaliwanna daytoy ket nangaramid iti sabali a banag a napintas iti panagkitana.
5 Then the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
Kalpasanna, immay kaniak ti sao ni Yahweh a kunana,
6 “House of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter?” says the LORD. “Behold, as the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, house of Israel.
“Saanko aya a kabaelan nga aramiden kadakayo balay ti Israel ti kas iti inaramid ti agdamdamili? -kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh. Kitaenyo! kas iti pila nga adda iti ima ti agdamdamili- kasta ti kaaddayo iti imak, balay ti Israel.
7 At the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy it,
Iti aniaman a kanito, mabalinko nga ipakaammo ti maysa a banag maipapan iti maysa a nasion wenno pagarian a parutek daytoy, burakek wenno dadaelek daytoy.
8 if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to them.
Ngem no ti nasion a nangiballaagak ket tumallikud iti kinadakesna, saanko ngarud nga ituloy ti didigra a pangpanggepek nga iyeg iti daytoy.
9 At the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it,
Iti aniaman a kanito, mabalin nga ibagak ti maysa a banag maipapan iti maysa a nasion wenno pagarian, a bangonek daytoy wenno ipatakderko daytoy.
10 if they do that which is evil in my sight, that they not obey my voice, then I will repent of the good with which I said I would benefit them.
Ngem no mangaramid daytoy iti dakes iti imatangko, a saanna dengngen ti timekko, isardengkonto ngarud ti nasayaat nga imbagak nga aramidek para kadakuada.
11 “Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘The LORD says: “Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a plan against you. Everyone return from his evil way now, and amend your ways and your doings.”’
Isu nga ita, agsaoka kadagiti lallaki iti Juda ken kadagiti agnanaed iti Jerusalem a kunam, 'Kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh: Kitaenyo, Umadanin ti panangparnuayko iti didigra kadakayo. Umadanin ti panangaramidko iti maysa a panggep a maibusor kadakayo. Tunggal tao ket agbabawi iti dinadangkes nga ar-aramidenna, tapno dagiti wagasyo ken dagiti aramidyo ket mangiyeg iti nasayaat kadakayo,
12 But they say, ‘It is in vain; for we will walk after our own plans, and we will each follow the stubbornness of his evil heart.’”
Ngem ibagadanto, 'Awan serserbina daytoy. Agtignaykami segun kadagiti bukodmi a panggep. Aramidento ti tunggal maysa kadakami ti kinadakesna, dagiti tarigagay ti nasukir a pusona.'
13 Therefore the LORD says: “Ask now among the nations, ‘Who has heard such things?’ The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.
Isu a kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh, 'Saludsodem kadagiti nasion, siasino ti nakangngeg iti kasta a banag a kas iti daytoy? Nakaaramid ti birhen nga Israel iti nakaal-alinggaget a tignay.
14 Will the snow of Lebanon fail from the rock of the field? Will the cold waters that flow down from afar be dried up?
Maawanan kadi iti niebe dagiti kabatbatoan a turod kadagiti away iti Lebanon? Matianan kadi dagiti waig iti bantay nga agayus manipud iti adayo?
15 For my people have forgotten me. They have burned incense to false gods. They have been made to stumble in their ways in the ancient paths, to walk in byways, in a way not built up,
Ngem linipatdak dagiti tattaok. Nagidatonda kadagiti awan serserbina a didiosen ken naitibkulda kadagiti dalanda; pinanawanda dagiti nagkauna a dalan tapno magnada kadagiti basbassit a dalan.
16 to make their land an astonishment, and a perpetual hissing. Everyone who passes by it will be astonished, and shake his head.
Agbalinto a nakabutbuteng ti dagada, maysa a banag nga agnanayon a pagsakuntipan. Amin a lumabas iti dagada ket agkintayeg ken agwingiwing.
17 I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy. I will show them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity.
Waraekto ida iti sangoanan dagiti kabusorda a kasla tapok nga intayab ti angin a naggapu iti daya. Tallikudakto ida ken saanak a sumango iti aldaw ti didigrada.'”
18 Then they said, “Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law will not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”
Isu a kinuna dagiti tattao, “Umaykayo, planwentayo ti dakes nga aramidentayo kenni Jeremias, agsipud ta saan a pulos a mapukaw ti linteg kadagiti padi, wenno balakad manipud kadagiti mamasirib a lallaki, wenno sasao manipud kadagiti profeta. Umaykayo, rautentayo isuna babaen kadagiti sasaotayo ket saantayon nga ipangag ti aniaman nga ibagbagana.
19 Give heed to me, LORD, and listen to the voice of those who contend with me.
Ipangagnak, O Yahweh! Ket denggem ti ariwawa dagiti kabusorko.
20 Should evil be recompensed for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before you to speak good for them, to turn away your wrath from them.
Didigra kadi ti gungunak iti kinaimbagko kadakuada? Ta nangkalida iti abut a para kaniak. Lagipem ti panagtakderko iti sangoanam tapno agsaoak para iti pagsayaatanda, tapno bumaaw ti pungtotmo kadakuada.
21 Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and give them over to the power of the sword. Let their wives become childless and widows. Let their men be killed and their young men struck by the sword in battle.
Iyawatmo ngarud dagiti annakda iti panagbisin, ken itedmo ida iti pannakabalin ti kampilan. Ipalubosmo koma a maulila ken mabalo dagiti assawada a babbai, ken mapapatay dagiti lallaki nga adda kadakuada, ken mapapatay dagiti agtutuboda a lallaki babaen iti kampilan iti gubat.
22 Let a cry be heard from their houses when you bring a troop suddenly on them; for they have dug a pit to take me and hidden snares for my feet.
Mangngeg koma ti panagasug iti panagtuok manipud kadagiti babbalayda, bayat ti kellaat a panangiyegmo kadagiti mangraut kadakuada. Ta nagkalida iti maysa nga abut tapno tiliwendak ken nangipakatda kadagiti silo para kadagiti sakak.
23 Yet, LORD, you know all their counsel against me to kill me. Do not forgive their iniquity. Do not blot out their sin from your sight, Let them be overthrown before you. Deal with them in the time of your anger.
Ngem Sika, O Yahweh, ammom amin dagiti panggepda a mangpapatay kaniak. Saanmo a pakawanen ti nakaro a kinadakesda ken dagiti basolda. Saanmo a punasen dagiti basolda kenka. Ngem ketdi, bay-am ida a maparmek iti sangoanam. Agtignayka a maibusor kadakuada iti tiempo ti pungtotmo.
