Hebrews 5
1 For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
ய: கஸ்²சித் மஹாயாஜகோ ப⁴வதி ஸ மாநவாநாம்’ மத்⁴யாத் நீத: ஸந் மாநவாநாம்’ க்ரு’த ஈஸ்²வரோத்³தே³ஸ்²யவிஷயே(அ)ர்த²த உபஹாராணாம்’ பாபார்த²கப³லீநாஞ்ச தா³ந நியுஜ்யதே|
2 The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.
ஸ சாஜ்ஞாநாம்’ ப்⁴ராந்தாநாஞ்ச லோகாநாம்’ து³: கே²ந து³: கீ² ப⁴விதும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி, யதோ ஹேதோ: ஸ ஸ்வயமபி தௌ³ர்ப்³ப³ல்யவேஷ்டிதோ ப⁴வதி|
3 Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.
ஏதஸ்மாத் காரணாச்ச யத்³வத் லோகாநாம்’ க்ரு’தே தத்³வத்³ ஆத்மக்ரு’தே(அ)பி பாபார்த²கப³லிதா³நம்’ தேந கர்த்தவ்யம்’|
4 Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.
ஸ கோ⁴ச்சபத³: ஸ்வேச்சா²த: கேநாபி ந க்³ரு’ஹ்யதே கிந்து ஹாரோண இவ ய ஈஸ்²வரேணாஹூயதே தேநைவ க்³ரு’ஹ்யதே|
5 So also Christ did not glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father.”
ஏவம்ப்ரகாரேண க்²ரீஷ்டோ(அ)பி மஹாயாஜகத்வம்’ க்³ரஹீதும்’ ஸ்வீயகௌ³ரவம்’ ஸ்வயம்’ ந க்ரு’தவாந், கிந்து "மதீ³யதநயோ(அ)ஸி த்வம் அத்³யைவ ஜநிதோ மயேதி" வாசம்’ யஸ்தம்’ பா⁴ஷிதவாந் ஸ ஏவ தஸ்ய கௌ³ரவம்’ க்ரு’தவாந்|
6 As he says also in another place, "You are a priest for the age (aiōn g165), after the order of Melchizedek."
தத்³வத்³ அந்யகீ³தே(அ)பீத³முக்தம்’, த்வம்’ மல்கீஷேத³க: ஸ்²ரேண்யாம்’ யாஜகோ(அ)ஸி ஸதா³தந: | (aiōn g165)
7 He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,
ஸ ச தே³ஹவாஸகாலே ப³ஹுக்ரந்த³நேநாஸ்²ருபாதேந ச ம்ரு’த்யுத உத்³த⁴ரணே ஸமர்த²ஸ்ய பிது: ஸமீபே புந: புநர்விநதிம்’ ப்ரர்த²நாஞ்ச க்ரு’த்வா தத்ப²லரூபிணீம்’ ஸ²ங்காதோ ரக்ஷாம்’ ப்ராப்ய ச
8 though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered.
யத்³யபி புத்ரோ(அ)ப⁴வத் ததா²பி யைரக்லிஸ்²யத தைராஜ்ஞாக்³ரஹணம் அஸி²க்ஷத|
9 Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of consummate (aiōnios g166) salvation,
இத்த²ம்’ ஸித்³தீ⁴பூ⁴ய நிஜாஜ்ஞாக்³ராஹிணாம்’ ஸர்வ்வேஷாம் அநந்தபரித்ராணஸ்ய காரணஸ்வரூபோ (அ)ப⁴வத்| (aiōnios g166)
10 named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
தஸ்மாத் ஸ மல்கீஷேத³க: ஸ்²ரேணீபு⁴க்தோ மஹாயாஜக ஈஸ்²வரேணாக்²யாத: |
11 About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.
தமத்⁴யஸ்மாகம்’ ப³ஹுகதா²: கத²யிதவ்யா: கிந்து தா: ஸ்தப்³த⁴கர்ணை ர்யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்து³ர்க³ம்யா: |
12 For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.
யதோ யூயம்’ யத்³யபி ஸமயஸ்ய தீ³ர்க⁴த்வாத் ஸி²க்ஷகா ப⁴விதும் அஸ²க்ஷ்யத ததா²பீஸ்²வரஸ்ய வாக்யாநாம்’ யா ப்ரத²மா வர்ணமாலா தாமதி⁴ ஸி²க்ஷாப்ராப்தி ர்யுஷ்மாகம்’ புநராவஸ்²யகா ப⁴வதி, ததா² கடி²நத்³ரவ்யே நஹி கிந்து து³க்³தே⁴ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ப்ரயோஜநம் ஆஸ்தே|
13 For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
யோ து³க்³த⁴பாயீ ஸ ஸி²ஸு²ரேவேதிகாரணாத் த⁴ர்ம்மவாக்யே தத்பரோ நாஸ்தி|
14 But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
கிந்து ஸத³ஸத்³விசாரே யேஷாம்’ சேதாம்’ஸி வ்யவஹாரேண ஸி²க்ஷிதாநி தாத்³ரு’ஸா²நாம்’ ஸித்³த⁴லோகாநாம்’ கடோ²ரத்³ரவ்யேஷு ப்ரயோஜநமஸ்தி|
