Genesis 9
1 God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth.
E abençoou Deus a Noé e a seus filhos, e disse-lhes: Fructificae e multiplicae-vos, e enchei a terra.
2 The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that moves along the ground, and all the fish of the sea, are delivered into your hand.
E será o vosso temor e o vosso pavor sobre todo o animal da terra, e sobre toda a ave dos céus: tudo o que se move sobre a terra, e todos os peixes do mar, na vossa mão são entregues.
3 Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you.
Tudo quanto se move, que é vivente, será para vosso mantimento: tudo vos tenho dado como herva verde.
4 But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.
A carne, porém, com sua vida, isto é, com seu sangue, não comereis.
5 I will surely require accounting for your life’s blood. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the life of man.
E certamente requererei o vosso sangue, o sangue das vossas vidas; da mão de todo o animal o requererei: como tambem da mão do homem, e da mão do irmão de cada um requererei a vida do homem.
6 Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image.
Quem derramar o sangue do homem, pelo homem o seu sangue será derramado: porque Deus fez o homem conforme á sua imagem.
7 Be fruitful and multiply. Increase abundantly in the earth, and multiply in it.”
Mas vós fructificae e multiplicae-vos: povoae abundantemente a terra, e multiplicae-vos n'ella.
8 God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
E fallou Deus a Noé, e a seus filhos com elle, dizendo:
9 “As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you,
E eu, eis que estabeleço o meu concerto comvosco e com a vossa semente depois de vós,
10 and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship, even every animal of the earth.
E com toda a alma vivente, que comvosco está, de aves, de rezes, e de todo o animal da terra comvosco: desde todos que sairam da arca, até todo o animal da terra.
11 I will establish my covenant with you: All flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood. There will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.”
E eu comvosco estabeleço o meu concerto, que não será mais destruida toda a carne pelas aguas do diluvio: e que não haverá mais diluvio, para destruir a terra.
12 God said, “This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
E disse Deus: Este é o signal do concerto que ponho entre mim e vós, e entre toda a alma vivente, que está comvosco, por gerações eternas.
13 I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.
O meu arco tenho posto na nuvem: este será por signal do concerto entre mim e a terra.
14 When I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud,
E acontecerá que, quando eu trouxer nuvens sobre a terra, apparecerá o arco nas nuvens:
15 I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
Então me lembrarei do meu concerto, que está entre mim e vós, e entre toda a alma vivente de toda a carne: e as aguas não se tornarão mais em diluvio, para destruir toda a carne.
16 The rainbow will be in the cloud. I will look at it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”
E estará o arco nas nuvens, e eu o verei, para me lembrar do concerto eterno entre Deus e toda a alma vivente de toda a carne, que está sobre a terra.
17 God said to Noah, “This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
E disse Deus a Noé: Este é o signal do concerto que tenho estabelecido entre mim e entre toda a carne, que está sobre a terra.
18 The sons of Noah who went out from the ship were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham is the father of Canaan.
E os filhos de Noé, que da arca sairam, foram Sem, e Cão, e Japhet; e Cão, é o pae de Canaan.
19 These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.
Estes tres foram os filhos de Noé; e d'estes se povoou toda a terra.
20 Noah began to be a farmer, and planted a vineyard.
E começou Noé a ser lavrador da terra, e plantou uma vinha:
21 He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent.
E bebeu do vinho, e embebedou-se; e descobriu-se no meio de sua tenda.
22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.
E viu Cão, o pae de Canaan, a nudez do seu pae, e fel-o saber a ambos seus irmãos fóra.
23 Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it on both their shoulders, went in backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were backwards, and they did not see their father’s nakedness.
Então tomaram Sem e Japhet uma capa, e puzeram-n'a sobre ambos os seus hombros, e indo virados para traz, cubriram a nudez do seu pae, e os seus rostos eram virados, de maneira que não viram a nudez do seu pae.
24 Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him.
E despertou Noé do seu vinho, e soube o que seu filho menor lhe fizera.
25 He said, “Canaan is cursed. He will be a servant of servants to his brothers.”
E disse: Maldito seja Canaan: servo dos servos seja aos seus irmãos.
26 He said, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.
E disse: Bemdito seja o Senhor Deus de Sem: e seja-lhe Canaan por servo.
27 May God enlarge Japheth. Let him dwell in the tents of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.”
Alargue Deus a Japhet, e habite nas tendas de Sem: e seja-lhe Canaan por servo.
28 Noah lived three hundred fifty years after the flood.
E viveu Noé, depois do diluvio, trezentos e cincoenta annos.
29 All the days of Noah were nine hundred fifty years, and then he died.
E foram todos os dias de Noé novecentos e cincoenta annos, e morreu.
