Galatians 5

1 Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

௧ஆனபடியால், நீங்கள் மீண்டும் அடிமைத்தனத்தின் நுகத்திற்குக் கீழாகாமல், கிறிஸ்து நமக்கு உண்டாக்கின சுதந்திர நிலைமையிலே நிலைத்திருங்கள்.

2 Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.

௨இதோ, நீங்கள் விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டால் கிறிஸ்துவினால் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு பிரயோஜனமும் இருக்காது, என்று பவுலாகிய நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

3 Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

௩மேலும், விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ளுகிற எந்த மனிதனும் நியாயப்பிரமாணம் முழுவதையும் நிறைவேற்றக் கடனாளியாக இருக்கிறான் என்று மீண்டும் அப்படிப்பட்டவனுக்கு உறுதியாக அறிவிக்கிறேன்.

4 You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.

௪நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினால் நீதிமான்களாக விரும்புகிற நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் கிறிஸ்துவைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்து கிருபையிலிருந்து விழுந்தீர்கள்.

5 For we through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.

௫நாங்களோ நீதிகிடைக்கும் என்று ஆவியைக்கொண்டு விசுவாசத்தினால் நம்பிக்கையோடு காத்திருக்கிறோம்.

6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.

௬கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிடம் விருத்தசேதனமும், விருத்தசேதனம் இல்லாததும் ஒன்றுக்கும் உதவாது, அன்பினால் செய்கைகளைச் செய்கிற விசுவாசமே உதவும்.

7 You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth?

௭நீங்கள் நன்றாக ஓடினீர்களே; சத்தியத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமற்போக உங்களுக்குத் தடைசெய்தவன் யார்?

8 This persuasion is not from him who calls you.

௮இந்தப் போதனை உங்களை அழைத்தவரால் உண்டானது இல்லை.

9 A little yeast grows through the whole lump.

௯புளிப்பான கொஞ்சம் மாவு பிசைந்த மாவு அனைத்தையும் உப்பப்பண்ணும்.

10 I have confidence toward you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.

௧0நீங்கள் வேறுவிதமாகச் சிந்திக்கமாட்டீர்கள் என்று நான் கர்த்தருக்குள் உங்களைக்குறித்து நம்பிக்கையாக இருக்கிறேன்; உங்களைக் குழப்புகிறவன் எப்படிப்பட்டவனாக இருந்தாலும் தனக்குரிய தண்டனையை அடைவான்.

11 But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.

௧௧சகோதரர்களே, இதுவரைக்கும் நான் விருத்தசேதனத்தைப் பிரசங்கிக்கிறவனாக இருந்தால், இதுவரைக்கும் எதற்காகத் துன்பப்படுகிறேன்? அப்படியென்றால் சிலுவையைப்பற்றி வரும் இடறல் ஒழிந்திருக்குமே.

12 I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.

௧௨உங்களைக் குழப்புகிறவர்கள் உங்களிடமிருந்து துண்டித்துக்கொண்டால் நலமாக இருக்கும்.

13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

௧௩சகோதரர்களே, நீங்கள் சுதந்திரமாக இருப்பதற்காக அழைக்கப்பட்டீர்கள், இந்தச் சுதந்திரத்தை நீங்கள் சரீரத்திற்கேதுவாக அநுசரிக்காமல், அன்பினாலே ஒருவருக்கொருவர் பணிவிடை செய்யுங்கள்.

14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

௧௪உன்னை நீ நேசிக்கிறதுபோல மற்றவனையும் நேசிப்பாயாக, என்கிற இந்த ஒரே வார்த்தையிலே நியாயப்பிரமாணம் முழுவதும் நிறைவேறும்.

15 But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you do not consume one another.

௧௫நீங்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் கடித்து விழுங்குவீர்கள் என்றால் அழிவீர்கள், அப்படி ஒருவரால் ஒருவர் அழிக்கப்படாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள்.

16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

௧௬பின்னும் நான் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், ஆவியானவருக்கு ஏற்றபடி நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள், அப்பொழுது சரீர இச்சையை நிறைவேற்றாமல் இருப்பீர்கள்.

17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.

௧௭சரீர இச்சை ஆவியானவருக்கு எதிராக செயல்படுகிறது. ஆவியானவர் சரீர இச்சைக்கு எதிராக செயல்படுகிறார்; நீங்கள் செய்யவேண்டியவைகளைச் செய்யாதபடி, இவைகள் ஒன்றுக்கொன்று எதிராக இருக்கிறது.

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

௧௮ஆவியானவரால் நடத்தப்படுவீர்களானால், நீங்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டவர்கள் இல்லை.

19 Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,

௧௯சரீரத்தின் செய்கைகள் வெளியரங்கமாக இருக்கின்றன; அவையாவன: விபசாரம், வேசித்தனம், அசுத்தம், காமவிகாரம்,

20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,

௨0விக்கிரக ஆராதனை, பில்லிசூனியம், பகைகள், விரோதங்கள், வைராக்கியங்கள், கோபங்கள், சண்டைகள், பிரிவினைகள், மார்க்கபேதங்கள்,

21 envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.

௨௧பொறாமைகள், கொலைகள், வெறிகள், களியாட்டுகள் முதலானவைகளே; இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் செய்கிறவர்கள் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வதில்லை என்று முன்னமே நான் சொன்னதுபோல இப்பொழுதும் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,

௨௨ஆவியானவரின் கனியோ, அன்பு, சந்தோஷம், சமாதானம், நீடியபொறுமை, தயவு, நற்குணம், விசுவாசம்,

23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

௨௩சாந்தம், இச்சையடக்கம்; இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளுக்கு எதிரான பிரமாணம் ஒன்றும் இல்லை.

24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

௨௪கிறிஸ்துவினுடையவர்கள் தங்களுடைய சரீரத்தையும் அதின் ஆசைகளையும் இச்சைகளையும் சிலுவையில் அறைந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

25 If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.

௨௫நாம் ஆவியானவராலே பிழைத்திருந்தால், அவருக்கேற்றபடி நடப்போம்.

26 Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.

௨௬வீண்புகழ்ச்சியை விரும்பாமலும், ஒருவரையொருவர் கோபமூட்டாமலும், ஒருவர்மேல் ஒருவர் பொறாமைகொள்ளாமலும் இருப்போம்.
