< Ezekiel 5 >

1 “You, son of man, take a sharp sword. You shall take it as a barber’s razor to yourself, and shall cause it to pass over your head and over your beard. Then take balances to weigh and divide the hair.
Pea ko koe, “Foha ʻoe tangata, toʻo kiate koe ha hele māsila, toʻo kiate koe ʻae tele ʻae tangata tele kava, pea ke tele ʻaki ia ho ʻulu mo hoʻo halakava: pea ke toki toʻo ʻae meʻa fakatatau ke fakamamafa mo vahevahe ʻae louʻulu.
2 A third part you shall burn in the fire in the middle of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled. You shall take a third part, and strike with the sword around it. A third part you shall scatter to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.
Te ke tutu ʻaki ʻae afi ʻa hono vahe ʻe taha ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe kolo, ʻoka kakato ʻae ngaahi ʻaho ʻo hono kāpui: pea te ke ʻave hono vahe ʻe taha mo ke taaʻi ia ʻaki ha hele: pea ke lī hono vahe ʻe taha ke vilingia ʻi he matangi; pea te u toho ha heletā mo tuli ʻaki ʻakinautolu ʻi mui.
3 You shall take a small number of these and bind them in the folds of your robe.
Pea te ke toʻo foki ha tuʻoni louʻulu siʻi, ʻo nonoʻo ia ʻi he kapa ʻo ho kofu.
4 Of these again you shall take, and cast them into the middle of the fire, and burn them in the fire. From it a fire will come out into all the house of Israel.
Pea toe toʻo ia, ʻo lī ki he loto afi, ke vela ʻi he loto afi; he ko ia ʻe hoko mei ai ʻae afi ki he fale kotoa ʻo ʻIsileli.”
5 “The Lord GOD says: ‘This is Jerusalem. I have set her in the middle of the nations, and countries are around her.
ʻOku pehē mai ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; “Ko eni ʻa Selūsalema: kuo u fokotuʻu ia ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe ngaahi puleʻanga mo e ngaahi fonua ʻoku tuʻu takatakai ʻi ai.
6 She has rebelled against my ordinances in doing wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that are around her; for they have rejected my ordinances, and as for my statutes, they have not walked in them.’
Pea kuo ne liliu mei heʻeku māʻoniʻoni ke angahala lahi hake ʻi he ngaahi puleʻanga, pea mei heʻeku ngaahi fekau, ʻo lahi hake ʻi he ngaahi fonua ʻoku tuʻu takatakai ʻiate ia: he kuo nau liʻaki ʻeku māʻoniʻoni, mo ʻeku ngaahi fekau ʻo ʻikai te nau ʻaʻeva ai.
7 “Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you are more turbulent than the nations that are around you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my ordinances, neither have followed the ordinances of the nations that are around you;
Ko ia ʻoku pehē ai ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, koeʻuhi kuo ke fakaʻaʻau ʻo tokolahi hake ʻi he ngaahi puleʻanga ʻoku takatakai ʻiate koe, ʻo ʻikai ʻaʻeva ʻi heʻeku ngaahi fekau, pe maʻu ʻeku māʻoniʻoni, pe fai ke hangē ko e māʻoniʻoni ʻae ngaahi puleʻanga ʻoku takatakai ʻiate koe;
8 therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I, even I, am against you; and I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations.
Ko ia ʻoku pehē ai ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, Vakai, ko au, ʻio, ko au, ʻoku tuʻu kiate koe, pea te u fai ʻae tautea kiate koe ʻi he ʻao ʻoe ngaahi puleʻanga.
9 I will do in you that which I have not done, and which I will not do anything like it any more, because of all your abominations.
Pea te u fai ʻiate koe ʻaia ʻoku teʻeki te u fai, pe te u toe fai ki mui hano tatau, koeʻuhi ko hoʻo ngaahi fakalielia.
10 Therefore the fathers will eat the sons within you, and the sons will eat their fathers. I will execute judgments on you; and I will scatter the whole remnant of you to all the winds.
Ko ia ʻe kai ai ʻe he ngaahi tamai ʻa honau ngaahi foha ʻi loto ʻiate koe, pea kai ʻe he ngaahi foha ʻenau ngaahi tamai: pea te u fai ʻae fakamalaʻia ʻiate koe, pea ko e toenga ʻiate koe te u vilingia atu ki he feituʻu matangi kotoa pē.”
11 Therefore as I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things, and with all your abominations, therefore I will also diminish you. My eye will not spare, and I will have no pity.
Ko ia ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, “ʻOku ou moʻui, pea ko e moʻoni ko e meʻa ʻi hoʻo fakalielia ʻaki hoku fale tapu ʻa hoʻo ngaahi meʻa fakalielia mo hoʻo ngaahi ngāue ʻuli, ko ia te u fakaʻaʻau ai koe ki mui; pea ʻe ʻikai mamae hoku mata, pea ʻe ʻikai ʻiate au ha manavaʻofa.
12 A third part of you will die with the pestilence, and they will be consumed with famine within you. A third part will fall by the sword around you. A third part I will scatter to all the winds, and will draw out a sword after them.
Ko e vahe ʻe taha ʻiate koe ʻe mate ʻi he mahaki fakaʻauha, pea te nau ʻauha hongea ʻi loto ʻiate koe; pea ko ho vahe ʻe taha ʻe tō hifo takatakai ʻiate koe ʻi he heletā: pea ko hono vahe ʻe taha te u vilingia ki he feituʻu matangi kotoa pē, pea te u tuli ʻaki ʻakinautolu ʻae heletā.
13 “‘Thus my anger will be accomplished, and I will cause my wrath toward them to rest, and I will be comforted. They will know that I, the LORD, have spoken in my zeal, when I have accomplished my wrath on them.
‌ʻE pehē ʻae hoko ʻa ʻeku houhau, pea te u tuku ʻa ʻeku houhau ke nofo kiate kinautolu, pea te u fiemālie ai: pea te nau ʻilo ko au ko Sihova kuo lea ʻaki eni ʻi heʻeku fakamoʻomoʻoni, ʻo kau ka fakaʻosi ʻeku tuputāmaki kiate kinautolu.
14 “‘Moreover I will make you a desolation and a reproach among the nations that are around you, in the sight of all that pass by.
Pea te u ngaohi foki koe ke lala pea ko e manukiʻanga ʻoe ngaahi puleʻanga ʻoku takatakai ʻiate koe, ʻi he ʻao ʻokinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku ʻalu ange ʻiate koe.
15 So it will be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment, to the nations that are around you, when I execute judgments on you in anger and in wrath, and in wrathful rebukes—I, the LORD, have spoken it—
Ko ia ʻe hoko ai ia ko e manukiʻanga mo e taukaeʻanga, pea ko e ako mo e fakaofo ki he ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē ʻoku takatakai ʻiate koe, ʻo kau ka fai ʻae fakamalaʻia ʻiate koe ʻi he tuputāmaki mo e houhau mo e valoki kakaha. Ko au ko Sihova kuo u lea ʻaki eni.
16 when I send on them the evil arrows of famine that are for destruction, which I will send to destroy you. I will increase the famine on you and will break your staff of bread.
‌ʻO kau ka fakahoko kiate kinautolu ʻae ngahau fakakona ʻoe honge, ʻaia ko e ʻauhaʻanga, ʻaia te u tuku atu ke fakaʻosi ʻakimoutolu: pea te u fakalahi ʻae honge kiate kimoutolu pea te u fesiʻi ʻae tokotoko ʻoe ma:
17 I will send on you famine and evil animals, and they will bereave you. Pestilence and blood will pass through you. I will bring the sword on you. I, the LORD, have spoken it.’”
‌ʻE pehē ʻeku fekau atu kiate kimoutolu ʻae honge mo e fanga manu fekai, pea te nau fakatokosiʻi ʻakimoutolu; pea ʻe ʻalu atu ʻiate koe ʻae mahaki fakaʻauha mo e toto; pea te u fakatō hifo kiate koe ʻae heletā, Ko au ko Sihova ʻoku lea ʻaki eni.”
