< Deuteronomy 3 >

1 Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan. Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.
To pacoengah kam laem o moe, Bashan bangah ka caeh o; to naah Bashan siangpaharng Og doeh, aicae tuk hanah angmah ih misatuh kaminawk hoi Edrei ahmuen ah angzoh.
2 The LORD said to me, “Do not fear him; for I have delivered him, with all his people and his land, into your hand. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”
Angraeng mah kai khaeah, Anih to zii hmah; anih hoi angmah ih kaminawk boih hoiah nawnto, a prae to na ban ah kang paek boeh; Heshbon vangpui ah kaom Amor kaminawk ih siangpahrang Sihon khaeah na sak ih baktih toengah, anih khaeah doeh sah ah, tiah ang naa.
3 So the LORD our God also delivered into our hand Og, the king of Bashan, and all his people. We struck him until no one was left to him remaining.
To pongah aicae Angraeng Sithaw mah, Bashan siangpahrang Og hoi anih ih kaminawk to aicae ban ah paek; anih ih kaminawk maeto doeh anghmat ai ah, a hum o boih.
4 We took all his cities at that time. There was not a city which we did not take from them: sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
To naah anih ih vangpuinawk to a lak pae o boih; Argob prae, Bashan siangpahrang Og ukkhaih prae thung ih, vangpui qui tarukto thungah aicae mah lak ai ih anghmat vangpui maeto doeh om ai.
5 All these were cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars, in addition to a great many villages without walls.
Hae avangnawk boih loe sipae kasang ah thungh ih vangpui, khongkha hoi khongkha takraenghaih kaom, kacak vangpui ah oh o; sipae kaom ai kalah vangpuinawk doeh oh mangh vop.
6 We utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones.
Aicae mah Heshbon siangpahrang Sihon khaeah a sak o ih baktih toengah, vangpui kruekah kaom, nongpa, nongpata hoi nawktanawk to a hum o.
7 But all the livestock, and the plunder of the cities, we took for plunder for ourselves.
Toe vangpui thung ih maitawnawk hoi hmuenmaennawk loe aimacae hanah a lak o boih.
8 We took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon.
To pongah, Arnon vapui hoi kamtong Hermon mae karoek to, Jordan vapui ni angyae bangah kaom prae to, Amor siangpahrang hnetto ban thung hoiah a lak pae o;
9 (The Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir.)
Sidon kaminawk mah Hermon to Sirion, tiah kawk o moe, Amor kaminawk mah loe Shenir, tiah kawk o;
10 We took all the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, to Salecah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
azawn ah kaom vangpuinawk boih, Gilead prae boih, Bashan prae boih, Salkah hoi Edrei vangpui karoek to, Bashan siangpahrang Og ih prae to a lak pae o boih.
11 (For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the Rephaim. Behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron. Is not it in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? Nine cubits was its length, and four cubits its width, after the cubit of a man.)
Bashan siangpahrang Og khue ni, kanghmat kalen parai kami ah oh; khenah, anih iihhaih ihkhun loe sum hoiah a sak; to iihkhun loe Ammon kaminawk ih vangpui Rabbah ah oh; kami ih dong tahhaih baktiah loe dong takawtto sawk moe, dong palito kawk.
12 This land we took in possession at that time: from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead with its cities, I gave to the Reubenites and to the Gadites;
To nathuem ah a lak o ih prae loe, Arnon vapui taengah kaom, Aroer vangpui hoi kamtong Gilead mae ahap loe vangpuinawk hoi nawnto ah Reuben kaminawk hoi Gad kaminawk khaeah ka paek.
13 and the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh—all the region of Argob, even all Bashan. (The same is called the land of Rephaim.
Gilead prae kamtlai hoi Bashan siangpahrang Og ih prae boih, ahap Manasseh acaengnawk khaeah ka paek; Bashan prae thungah kaom, Argob prae boih loe, kalen parai kaminawk ih prae ah oh, tiah a thuih o.
14 Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, to the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called them, even Bashan, after his own name, Havvoth Jair, to this day.)
Manasseh ih caa Jair mah, Argob prae boih, Geshur hoi Maakath prae khoek to lak; to ahmuen to angmah ih ahmin to a paek; to pongah vaihni ni khoek to Bashan-Havoth-Jair, tiah kawk o.
15 I gave Gilead to Machir.
To pacoengah Gilead to Makir hanah ka paek.
16 To the Reubenites and to the Gadites I gave from Gilead even to the valley of the Arnon, the middle of the valley, and its border, even to the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
Toe prae to Gilead vangpui hoi Arnon vapui um karoek to, Ammon kaminawk ih ramri Jabbok vangpui karoek to,
17 the Arabah also, and the Jordan and its border, from Chinnereth even to the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah eastward.
azawn hoi Jordan vapui taeng boih, Kinnereth ahmuen hoi azawn ih tuipui pacoengah, ni angyae bangah kaom Ashdoth-Pisgah vangpui karoek to Reuben kaminawk hoi Gad kaminawk hanah ka paek.
18 I commanded you at that time, saying, “The LORD your God has given you this land to possess it. All of you men of valor shall pass over armed before your brothers, the children of Israel.
To nathuem ah nangcae khaeah hae tiah lok kang thuih o; na Angraeng Sithaw mah hae prae hae toep hanah nangcae khaeah paek boeh; toe misatuh thaih kaminawk boih, maiphaw to sin oh loe, nam nawkamya Israel kaminawk hma ah caeh oh.
19 But your wives, and your little ones, and your livestock, (I know that you have much livestock), shall live in your cities which I have given you,
Toe na zunawk, na caanawk hoi maitawnawk loe, kang paek o ih vangpuinawk ah suem oh; nangcae loe maitaw na tawnh o mang, tiah ka panoek.
20 until the LORD gives rest to your brothers, as to you, and they also possess the land which the LORD your God gives them beyond the Jordan. Then you shall each return to his own possession, which I have given you.”
Angraeng mah nam nawkamya hoi nangcae hanah misa amdinghaih to paek baktih toengah, na Angraeng Sithaw mah nihcae han paek ih Jordan vapui zaeh ih prae to nihcae mah toep o ai karoek to, hmabang ah caeh oh; to pacoengah ni kami boih kai mah qawk ah kang paek o ih prae ah nam laem o thai vop tih, tiah kang thuih o.
21 I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, “Your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings. So shall the LORD do to all the kingdoms where you go over.
To naah kai mah Joshua khaeah, Hae siangpahrang hnik nuiah Angraeng mah sak ih hmuen to na hnuk o boih boeh; na caeh o haih prae boih ah doeh Angraeng mah to tiah ni sah tih.
22 You shall not fear them; for the LORD your God himself fights for you.”
Nihcae to zii hmah; na Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae han misa na tuh pae tih hmang, tiah ka naa.
23 I begged GOD at that time, saying,
To naah Angraeng khaeah tahmenhaih ka hnik;
24 “Lord GOD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or in earth that can do works like yours, and mighty acts like yours?
25 Please let me go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that fine mountain, and Lebanon.”
Jordan vapui zaeh ah nang katsak ah loe, Jordan vapui zaeh ih kahoih prae, mae kahoih hoi Lebanon to na hnusak ah, tiah ka hnik.
26 But the LORD was angry with me because of you, and did not listen to me. The LORD said to me, “That is enough! Speak no more to me of this matter.
Toe Angraeng loe nangcae pongah ka nuiah palungphui moe, ka lok to na tahngai pae ai; Angraeng mah, Khawt boeh; kai khaeah hae kawng thui hmah lai ah.
27 Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with your eyes; for you shall not go over this Jordan.
Pisgah mae nuiah daw tahang ah loe, ni angyae, niduem, aluek hoi aloih bangah dan ah; Jordan vapui nang kaat mak ai boeh pongah, na mik hoiah to prae to dan ah.
28 But commission Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you shall see.”
Toe Joshua to patoeh ah loe, misahoih hanah thapaek ah; anih loe hae kaminawk hmaa ah caeh tih, na danh ih prae to anih mah toep tih, tiah ang naa.
29 So we stayed in the valley near Beth Peor.
To pongah aicae loe Beth-Poer vangpui zaeh ih azawn ah a oh o.
