< 2 Thessalonians 3 >

1 Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you,
Ní àkótán, ará, ẹ máa gbàdúrà fún wa, kí ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa lè máa tàn káàkiri, kí ó sì jẹ́ èyí tí a bu ọlá fún, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti rí ní ọ̀dọ̀ yín.
2 and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for not all have faith.
Kí ẹ sì máa gbàdúrà fún wa kí a lè bọ́ lọ́wọ́ àwọn ìkà àti àwọn ènìyàn búburú, nítorí pé kì í ṣe gbogbo ènìyàn ló ní ìgbàgbọ́.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
Ṣùgbọ́n olódodo ni Olúwa, ẹni tí yóò fi ẹsẹ̀ yín múlẹ̀, tí yóò sì pa yín mọ́ kúrò nínú ibi.
4 We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you both do and will do the things we command.
Àwa sì ní ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé nínú Olúwa ní ti ohun tí ẹ ń ṣe, àti pé àwọn nǹkan wọ̀n-ọn-nì tí a pàṣẹ fún un yín ni ẹ̀yin ń ṣe.
5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and into the perseverance of Christ.
Kí Olúwa máa tọ́ ọkàn yín ṣọ́nà sí ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run àti sínú sùúrù Kristi.
6 Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion and not after the tradition which they received from us.
Ní orúkọ Jesu Kristi Olúwa wa, àwa pàṣẹ fún un yín ará, pé kí ẹ yẹra fún gbogbo àwọn arákùnrin yín tí ń ṣe ìmẹ́lẹ́, tí kò sì gbé ní ìbámu pẹ̀lú ẹ̀kọ́ tí ẹ gbà ní ọ̀dọ̀ wa.
7 For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we did not behave ourselves rebelliously among you,
Nítorí ẹ̀yin náà mọ̀ bí ó ṣe yẹ kí ẹ máa fi ara wé wa. Àwa kì í ṣe ìmẹ́lẹ́ nígbà tí a wà ní ọ̀dọ̀ yín.
8 neither did we eat bread from anyone’s hand without paying for it, but in labor and travail worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwa kò sì jẹ oúnjẹ ẹnikẹ́ni lọ́fẹ̀ẹ́. Ṣùgbọ́n dípò bẹ́ẹ̀, àwa ń ṣiṣẹ́ tọ̀sán tòru kí a má ba à di àjàgà sí ẹnikẹ́ni nínú yín lọ́rùn.
9 This was not because we do not have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you, that you should imitate us.
Àwa ń ṣe nǹkan wọ̀nyí, kì í ṣe nítorí pé àwa kò ní ẹ̀tọ́ láti béèrè fún un, ṣùgbọ́n àwa ń fi ara wa ṣe àpẹẹrẹ tí ẹ ó tẹ̀lé.
10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: “If anyone is not willing to work, do not let him eat.”
Nítorí nígbà tí àwa wà lọ́dọ̀ yín, a ṣe àwọn òfin wọ̀nyí fún un yín pé, “Bí ẹnikẹ́ni kò bá fẹ́ ṣiṣẹ́, kí ó má ṣe jẹun.”
11 For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who do not work at all, but are busybodies.
A gbọ́ pé àwọn kan wà láàrín yín tí wọn jẹ́ ìmẹ́lẹ́. Wọ́n jẹ́ atọjúlékiri.
12 Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread.
Ǹjẹ́ irú àwọn ẹni bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwa ń pàṣẹ fún, tí a sì ń rọ̀ nínú Jesu Kristi Olúwa pé kí wọn ó máa ṣiṣẹ́ fún oúnjẹ tí wọ́n ń jẹ.
13 But you, brothers, do not be weary in doing what is right.
Ṣùgbọ́n ní tiyín ará, ẹ má ṣe jẹ́ kí agara dá yín ní rere ṣíṣe.
14 If any man does not obey our word in this letter, note that man and have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.
Bí ẹnikẹ́ni kò bá sì pa òfin wa nínú lẹ́tà yìí mọ́, ẹ sàmì sí ẹni náà. Ẹ má ṣe bá a kẹ́gbẹ́ kí ojú bà á le tì í.
15 Do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Síbẹ̀, ẹ má ṣe kà á sí ọ̀tá, ṣùgbọ́n ẹ máa kìlọ̀ fún un gẹ́gẹ́ bí arákùnrin yín.
16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.
Ǹjẹ́ kí Olúwa àlàáfíà, fúnra rẹ̀ máa fún yín ní àlàáfíà nígbà gbogbo. Kí Olúwa kí ó wà pẹ̀lú gbogbo yín.
17 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand, which is the sign in every letter. This is how I write.
Èmi Paulu fi ọwọ́ ara mi kọ lẹ́tà ìkíni yìí, èyí ṣe àmì ìdámọ̀ nínú gbogbo lẹ́tà. Bí mo ṣe máa ń kọ̀wé nìyìí.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Kí oore-ọ̀fẹ́ Jesu Kristi Olúwa wa wà pẹ̀lú yín.
