< 2 Peter 2 >

1 But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.
Toe nangcae salakah patukkung angsahcop kaminawk oh o baktih toengah, tahmaa angsahcop kaminawk doeh kaminawk salakah oh o toeng, nihcae loe kamro thaih katoeng ai patukhaihnawk to tamquta hoiah sin o moe, angmacae qankung Angraeng to pahnawt o ving, to tiah angmacae nuiah karang amrohaih to phak o sak.
2 Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.
Kanoih kaminawk mah kasae nihcae ih tuinuen to pazui o ueloe, loktang panoekhaih loklam to kasae thui o tih.
3 In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old does not linger, and their destruction will not slumber.
Kamtlai hmoek koehhaih palung tawnh o pongah amsawnlok thuihhaih hoiah nangcae khaeah hmuenmae na zaw o tih: nihcae lokcaekhaih loe atue sawk parai boeh, nihcae amrohaih doeh iih angam sut ai.
4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus (Tartaroō g5020), and committed them to pits of darkness to be reserved for judgment;
Sithaw mah zaehaih sah vankaminawk to paquem ai, nihcae to sumqui hoiah pathlet moe, lokcaek hanah, hell hoi khoving thungah vah boeh. (Tartaroō g5020)
5 and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly,
Anih loe long kangquem doeh pathlung ai, toe toenghaih lok taphong kami, Noah hoi a imthung ih kami long tazetto khue mah ni pahlonghaih to hnuk o, Sithaw tang ai kaminawk loe tui mah uem boih.
6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live in an ungodly way,
Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk khet koi kaom ah Sodom hoi Gomorrah vangpui to hmai hoi qoeng hanah lokcaek moe, maiphu ah angcoengsak;
7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was very distressed by the lustful life of the wicked
poeksae kaminawk ih khosak amhnonghaih hoiah raihaih katong, katoeng kami Lot khue ni loih:
8 (for that righteous man dwelling among them was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds),
(to kami katoeng loe, katoeng ai kaminawk salakah khosak, kahoih ai nihcae khosakhaih hoi toksakhaihnawk to nito pacoeng nito a thaih o moe, a hnuk o naah, toenghaih hoiah khosah anih hinghaih pakhra loe kating ai patangkhang; )
9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,
katoeng ai kaminawk to lokcaekhaih ni hanah suek moe, Sithaw panoek kaminawk to pacuekhaih thung hoi kawbangmaw loisak han, tito Angraeng mah panoek:
10 but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,
kaciim ai taksa koehhaih pazui kaminawk mah ukkungnawk to khet patoek o, nihcae loe amoek o moe, angmacae koehhaih khue to poek o, ukhaih akaa tawn kaminawk kasae thuih han zii o ai.
11 whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not bring a slanderous judgment against them before the Lord.
Kalen kue thacakhaih hoi toksakthaihaih hoiah kakoi vankaminawk mah mataeng doeh, Angraeng hmaa ah nihcae to kasae thui o ai.
12 But these, as unreasoning creatures, born natural animals to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil in matters about which they are ignorant, will in their destroying surely be destroyed,
Toe to kaminawk loe naeh moe, paduek hanah suek ih moi kasan baktiah ni oh o, panoekhaih tidoeh tawn ai ah hmuen to kasae a thuih o; a sak o ih kahoih ai hmuen mah angmacae to amrosak tih.
13 receiving the wages of unrighteousness; people who count it pleasure to revel in the daytime, spots and defects, reveling in their deceit while they feast with you;
Nihcae loe khodai ah nongpa nongpata zae sakhaih to koeh o, a sak o ih zaehaih baktih toengah nihcae mah atho hnu o tih. Nihcae loe nangcae salakah khet kamcuk ai, coek koi kaom kami ah oh o, nangcae hoi nawnto angkomhaih buhcaak o naah mataeng doeh, nongpa nongpata kanawm acaenghaih hoiah angmacae hoi angmacae angling kami ah oh o.
14 having eyes full of adultery, and who cannot cease from sin, enticing unsettled souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children!
Nihcae loe minawk ih zu sava nuiah nongpa nongpata zae sak koehhaih mik to tawnh o, zae sakhaih to toengh o thai ai; poekcak ai kaminawk to a zoek o: kamtlai koeh hmoekhaih palungthin to a tawnh o moe, tangoeng ih kami ah a oh o:
15 Forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wrongdoing;
loklam katoeng to a caeh o taak moe, loklam amkhraeng o, katoeng ai loklam hoiah hmuen hak han koeh, Beor capa Balaam ih loklam pazui kami ah oh o;
16 but he was rebuked for his own disobedience. A speechless donkey spoke with a man’s voice and stopped the madness of the prophet.
toe anih loe a sakpazae ih hmuen pongah thuitaekhaih to hnuk: lok apae thai ai laa hrang mah Balaam to kami ih lok hoiah thuitaek moe, tahmaa amthuhaih to boengsak.
17 These are wells without water, clouds driven by a storm; for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved.
Hae kaminawk loe tui kaom ai tuikhaw baktih, takhi mah hmuh ih tamainawk baktiah oh o; kamtueng ai, dungzan vinghaih to nihcae hanah suek pae boeh. (questioned)
18 For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;
To kaminawk loe tidoeh avang ai amoekhaih loknawk to apaeh o moe, zaehaih thung hoi kaloih tangcae kaminawk to taksa koehhaih hoi kahoih ai tuinuen hoiah zoek o.
19 promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for a man is brought into bondage by whoever overcomes him.
Amrohaih tamna ah a oh o to mah, minawk khaeah loe loihhaih kawng to a thuih pae o: hmuenmae mah pazawk ih kami loe hmuenmae mah anih to misong ah ohsak.
20 For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in it and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
Angraeng hoi pahlongkung Angraeng Jesu Kri panoekhaih rang hoiah long amhnonghaih thung hoi a loih o pacoengah, nihcae loe to hmuen mah naeh pazawk let, to hmuen mah nihcae to pazawk pongah, nihcae han hnukkhuem ah kaom hmuen loe hmaloe ih hmuen pongah nung kue.
21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
Toenghaih loklam panoek o pacoengah, nihcae khaeah paek ih kaciim lokpaekhaih angqoi taak ving pongah loe, panoek o ai ngala soe nahaeloe nihcae han hoih kue tih.
22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, “The dog turns to his own vomit again,” and “the sow that has washed to wallowing in the mire.”
Ui loe angmah ih tamlok to caak let; ok doeh tui hoi amsaeh pacoengah, tangnong thungah tabok let, tiah thuih ih palunghalok loe nihcae khaeah akoep tangtang boeh.
