2 Kings 1
1 Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.
၁အာဟပ်မင်း သေသောနောက်၊ မောဘပြည် သည် ဣသရေလရှင်ဘုရင်ကို ပုန်ကန်လေ၏။
2 Ahaziah fell down through the lattice in his upper room that was in Samaria, and was sick. So he sent messengers, and said to them, “Go, inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I will recover of this sickness.”
၂အာခဇိမင်းသည် ရှမာရိမြို့၌ အထက်အခန်း ပြတင်းပေါက်မှ ကျ၍နာနေသောကြောင့်၊ ငါသည် ဤအနာမှာ ထမြောက်မည်လောဟု ဧကြုန်မြို့၏ ဘုရား ဗာလဇေဗုပ်သို့ သွား၍ မေးမြန်းကြဟု မှာထား၍ သံတမန်တို့ကို စေလွှတ်လေ၏။
3 But the LORD’s angel said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and tell them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you go to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron?
၃ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန်သည် တိရှဘိမြို့သား ဧလိယအားလည်း၊ ရှမာရိရှင်ဘုရင် စေလွှတ်သော သံတမန်တို့ကို ကြိုဆိုခြင်းငှါ ထသွားလော့။ ဣသရေလပြည်၌ ဘုရားသခင်မရှိသောကြောင့်၊ ဧကြုန် မြို့၏ဘုရားဗာလဇေဗုပ်သို့သွား၍ မေးမြန်းရသလော။
4 Now therefore the LORD says, “You will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will surely die.”’” Then Elijah departed.
၄ထိုကြောင့်ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်သည် ယခု တက်သောသာလွန်ပေါ်က နောက်တဖန် မဆင်းရ၊ စင်စစ်သေရမည်ဟု သူတို့အားဆင့်ဆိုရမည် အကြောင်းမိန့်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊ ဧလိယသွားလေ၏။
5 The messengers returned to him, and he said to them, “Why is it that you have returned?”
၅သံတမန်တို့သည် ပြန်လာသောအခါ ရှင်ဘုရင်က၊ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ယခုပြန်လာကြသနည်းဟု မေးလျှင်၊
6 They said to him, “A man came up to meet us, and said to us, ‘Go, return to the king who sent you, and tell him, “The LORD says, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you send to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will surely die.’”’”
၆သူတို့က၊ လူတယောက်သည် ကျွန်တော်တို့ကို ကြိုဆိုခြင်းငှါ လာ၍ သင်တို့ကိုစေလွှတ်သော ရှင်ဘုရင် ထံသို့ ပြန်ကြ။ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ဣသရလပြည်၌ ဘုရားသခင် မရှိသောကြောင့်၊ ဧကြုန် မြို့၏ ဘုရားဗာလဇေဗုပ်သို့သွား၍ မေးမြန်းရသလော။ ထိုကြောင့် သင်သည်ယခုတတ်သော သာလွန်ပေါ်က နောက်တဖန်မဆင်းရ။ စင်စစ်သေရမည်ဟု ပြောရမည် အကြောင်း မှာထားပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။
7 He said to them, “What kind of man was he who came up to meet you and told you these words?”
၇ရှင်ဘုရင်ကလည်း၊ သင်တို့ကိုကြိုဆိုခြင်းငှါ လာ၍ ဤသို့ပြောသောသူကား အဘယ်သို့သော သူနည်းဟု မေးလျှင်၊
8 They answered him, “He was a hairy man, and wearing a leather belt around his waist.” He said, “It’s Elijah the Tishbite.”
၈သူတို့က၊ ထိုသူသည် ကိုယ်၌အမွေးများ၍ သားရေခါးပန်းကို စည်းသောသူ ဖြစ်ပါသည်ဟု လျှောက် ကြသော်၊ ထိုသူသည် တိရှဘိမြို့သား ဧလိယဖြစ်လိမ့်မည် ဟု ရှင်ဘုရင်ဆိုလျက်၊
9 Then the king sent a captain of fifty with his fifty to him. He went up to him; and behold, he was sitting on the top of the hill. He said to him, “Man of God, the king has said, ‘Come down!’”
၉လူငါးကျိပ်အုပ်သော တပ်မှူးကိုစေလွှတ်၍၊ တပ်မှူးသည် တောင်ပေါ်မှာထိုင်သော ဧလိယထံသို့ ရောက်ပြီးလျှင်၊ အိုဘုရားသခင်၏လူ၊ သင်သည် ဆင်းရ မည်အကြောင်း၊ ရှင်ဘုရင်အမိန့်တော်ရှိသည်ဟုဆို၏။
10 Elijah answered to the captain of fifty, “If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from the sky and consume you and your fifty!” Then fire came down from the sky, and consumed him and his fifty.
၁၀ဧလိယကလည်း၊ ငါသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏လူမှန်လျှင်၊ ကောင်းကင်ကမီးကျ၍ သင်နှင့်သင်၏လူ ငါးကျိပ် တို့ကို လောင်ပါစေဟု လူငါးကျိပ်အုပ်သော တပ်မှူးအားဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊ ကောင်းကင်က မီးကျ၍ သူနှင့်သူ၌ ပါသောလူငါးကျိပ်တို့ကို လောင်လေ၏။
11 Again he sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty. He answered him, “Man of God, the king has said, ‘Come down quickly!’”
၁၁တဖန်လူငါးကျိပ်အုပ်သော တပ်မှူးတယောက်ကို ရှင်ဘုရင်စေလွှတ်၍၊ ထိုတပ်မှူးက၊ အိုဘုရားသခင်၏ လူ၊ သင်သည် အလျင်အမြန် ဆင်းရမည်အကြောင်း ရှင်ဘုရင် အမိန့်တော်ရှိသည်ဟုဆို၏။
12 Elijah answered them, “If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from the sky and consume you and your fifty!” Then God’s fire came down from the sky, and consumed him and his fifty.
၁၂ဧလိယကလည်း၊ ငါသည်ဘုရားသခင်၏ လူမှန်လျှင် ကောင်းကင်က မီးကျ၍ သင်နှင့်သင်၏လူငါးကျိပ် တို့ကို လောင်ပါစေဟု သူတို့အား ဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏မီးသည် ကောင်းကင်ကကျ၍ သူနှင့်သူ၌ ပါသောလူငါးကျိပ်တို့ကို လောင်လေ၏။
13 Again he sent the captain of a third fifty with his fifty. The third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and begged him, and said to him, “Man of God, please let my life and the life of these fifty of your servants be precious in your sight.
၁၃တဖန်လူငါးကျိပ်အုပ်သော တတိယတပ်မှူးကို ရှင်ဘုရင်စေလွှတ်သဖြင့်၊ ထိုတပ်မှူးသည် တက်၍ ဧလိယရှေ့မှာဒူးထောက်လျက်၊ အိုဘုရားသခင်၏လူ၊ ကျွန်တော်အသက်နှင့် ကိုယ်တော် ကျွန် ဤလူငါးကျိပ်တို့၏ အသက်ကို နှမြောတော်မူပါ။
14 Behold, fire came down from the sky and consumed the last two captains of fifty with their fifties. But now let my life be precious in your sight.”
၁၄ကောင်းကင်က မီးကျ၍ အခြားသော တပ်မှူး နှစ်ယောက်နှင့် သူတို့၌ ပါသောလူတရာကို လောင် သော်လည်း၊ ကျွန်တော်အသက်ကို နှမြောတော်မူပါဟု တောင်းပန်လေ၏။
15 The LORD’s angel said to Elijah, “Go down with him. Do not be afraid of him.” Then he arose and went down with him to the king.
၁၅ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန်ကလည်း၊ သူနှင့်အတူ ဆင်းသွားလော့။ သူ့ကို မကြောက်နှင့်ဟု ဧလိယအားဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊ ဧလိယသည်ထ၍ ရှင်ဘုရင် ထံသို့ ရောက်လျှင်၊
16 He said to him, “The LORD says, ‘Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will surely die.’”
၁၆ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်သည် ဧကြုန်မြို့၏ ဘုရားဗလဇေဗုပ်၌ မေးမြန်းခြင်းငှါ အဘယ်ကြောင့် သံတမန်တို့ကိုစေလွှတ်သနည်း။ မေးမြန်းစရာဘို့ ဣသရေလပြည်၌ ဘုရားသခင်မရှိ သောကြောင့် ထိုသို့ပြုသလော။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင်သည် ယခုတက်သော သာလွန်ပေါ်က နောက်တဖန်မဆင်းရ။ စင်စစ်သေရ မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူကြောင်းကို ဆင့်ဆို၏။
17 So he died according to the LORD’s word which Elijah had spoken. Jehoram began to reign in his place in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, because he had no son.
၁၇ဧလိယ ဆင့်ဆိုသောထာဝရဘုရား၏ စကားတော်အတိုင်း ရှင်ဘုရင်သေ၍၊ သားတော်မရှိသော ကြောင့် ညီတော်ယောရံသည် ယုဒရှင်ဘုရင်ယောရှဖတ်သား ယဟောရံနန်းစံနှစ်နှစ်တွင် နန်းထိုင်လေ၏။
18 Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, are not they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
၁၈အာဇခိပြုမူသော အမှုအရာကြွင်းလေသမျှတို့သည်၊ ဣသရေလ ရာဇဝင်၌ ရေးထားလျက်ရှိ၏။
