2 Corinthians 13
1 This is the third time I am coming to you. “At the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.”
É esta a terceira vez que vou ter comvosco. Na bocca de duas ou tres testemunhas será confirmada toda a palavra.
2 I have warned previously, and I warn again, as when I was present the second time, so now, being absent, I write to those who have sinned before now and to all the rest that if I come again, I will not spare,
Já anteriormente o disse: e segunda vez o digo como se estivesse presente; agora pois, estando ausente, o digo aos que d'antes peccaram e a todos os mais, que, se outra vez fôr, não lhes perdoarei;
3 seeing that you seek a proof of Christ who speaks in me who is not weak, but is powerful in you.
Visto que buscaes uma prova de Christo que falla em mim, o qual não é fraco para comvosco, antes é poderoso entre vós.
4 For he was crucified through weakness, yet he lives through the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we will live with him through the power of God toward you.
Porque, ainda que foi crucificado por fraqueza, todavia vive pelo poder de Deus. Porque nós tambem somos fracos n'elle, porém viveremos com elle pelo poder de Deus em vós.
5 Examine your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves. Or do not you know about your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
Examinae-vos a vós mesmos, se permaneceis na fé; provae-vos a vós mesmos. Ou não vos conheceis a vós mesmos, que Jesus Christo está em vós? Se não é que já estaes reprovados.
6 But I hope that you will know that we are not disqualified.
Mas espero que entendereis que nós não somos reprovados.
7 Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not that we may appear approved, but that you may do that which is honorable, though we may seem to have failed.
Ora eu rogo a Deus que não façaes mal algum, não para que sejamos achados approvados, mas para que vós façaes o bem, embora nós sejamos como reprovados.
8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
Porque nada podemos contra a verdade, senão pela verdade.
9 For we rejoice when we are weak and you are strong. We also pray for this: your becoming perfect.
Porque nos regozijamos de estar fracos, quando vós estaes fortes; e o que desejamos é a vossa perfeição.
10 For this cause I write these things while absent, that I may not deal sharply when present, according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down.
Portanto, escrevo estas coisas estando ausente, para que, estando presente, não use de rigor, segundo o poder que o Senhor me deu para edificação, e não para destruição.
11 Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Quanto ao mais, irmãos, regozijae-vos, sêde perfeitos, sêde consolados, sêde de um mesmo parecer, vivei em paz; e o Deus do amor e da paz será comvosco.
12 Greet one another with a holy kiss.
Saudae-vos uns aos outros com osculo sancto.
13 All the saints greet you.
Todos os sanctos vos saudam.
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
A graça do Senhor Jesus Christo, e o amor de Deus, e a communhão do Espirito Sancto seja com vós todos. Amen.
