2 Chronicles 5

1 Thus all the work that Solomon did for the LORD’s house was finished. Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, even the silver, the gold, and all the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of God’s house.

Así que toda la obra que Salomón hizo para la casa del Señor fue completa. Y Salomón tomó las cosas que David su padre había dado y consagrado, la plata y el oro y todas las vasijas, y las puso en los tesoros de la casa de Dios.

2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

Entonces Salomón envió a todos los hombres responsables de Israel, a todos los jefes de las tribus y a los jefes de familia de los hijos de Israel, para que vinieran a Jerusalén y trasladaran el cofre del pacto del Señor fuera de la ciudad de David, que es Sión.

3 So all the men of Israel assembled themselves to the king at the feast, which was in the seventh month.

Y todos los hombres de Israel se reunieron con el rey en la fiesta en el séptimo mes.

4 All the elders of Israel came. The Levites took up the ark.

Vinieron todos los hombres responsables de Israel, y los levitas tomaron el cofre del pacto.

5 They brought up the ark, the Tent of Meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent. The Levitical priests brought these up.

Tomaron el cofre del pacto y la tienda de reunión y todos los vasos sagrados que estaban en la tienda; todos estos, los sacerdotes, los levitas, tomaron.

6 King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled to him were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle that could not be counted or numbered for multitude.

Y el rey Salomón y todos los hombres de Israel que se habían reunido allí con él, estaban ante él cofre del pacto, haciendo ofrendas de ovejas y bueyes más de lo que podrían ser contados.

7 The priests brought in the ark of the LORD’s covenant to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim.

Y los sacerdotes tomaron el cofre del pacto del Señor y la pusieron en su lugar, en la habitación interior de la casa, en el Lugar Santísimo, bajo las alas de los querubines.

8 For the cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its poles above.

Porque sus alas estaban extendidas sobre el lugar donde estaba el cofre del pacto, cubriendo el cofre y sus varas.

9 The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark in front of the inner sanctuary, but they were not seen outside; and it is there to this day.

Las varillas eran tan largas que sus extremos se veían desde el lugar santo delante del Lugar Santísimo, pero no fueron vistos desde afuera; y allí están hasta hoy.

10 There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

No había nada en el arca, excepto las dos piedras planas que Moisés colocó allí en Horeb, donde el Señor hizo un pacto con los hijos de Israel cuando salieron de Egipto.

11 When the priests had come out of the holy place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, and did not keep their divisions;

Cuando los sacerdotes salieron del lugar santo, porque todos los sacerdotes que estaban presentes se purificaron, sin guardar sus divisiones;

12 also the Levites who were the singers, all of them, even Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and their brothers, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals and stringed instruments and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them one hundred twenty priests sounding with trumpets);

Y los levitas que hacían la música, todos ellos, Asaf, Hemán, Jedutún y sus hijos y hermanos, vestidos de lino, estaban en sus lugares con sus instrumentos de bronce y cuerdas en el lado este de la altar, y con ellos ciento veinte sacerdotes tocando cuernos;

13 when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, “For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever!” then the house was filled with a cloud, even the LORD’s house,

Y cuando los músicos tocaban cuernos, y los que hacían la melodía en una canción, con una sola voz cantaban la alabanza y la gloria del Señor; con voces fuertes y con instrumentos de viento, y con instrumentos de música de bronce y cuerdas, alabando al Señor y diciendo: Él es bueno; Su misericordia es inmutable para siempre: entonces la casa se llenó de la nube de la gloria del Señor.

14 so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; for the LORD’s glory filled God’s house.

Y los sacerdotes no pudieron guardar sus lugares para hacer su trabajo a causa de la nube; porque la casa de Dios estaba llena de la gloria del Señor.
