1 Samuel 8
1 When Samuel was old, he made his sons judges over Israel.
၁ရှမွေလ သည် အသက် ကြီးသောအခါ ၊ မိမိ သား တို့ကို ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၌ အုပ်စိုး ရသောအခွင့်နှင့် ခန့်ထား ၏။
2 Now the name of his firstborn was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah. They were judges in Beersheba.
၂သားဦး အမည် ကား ယောလ ၊ ဒုတိယ သားအမည် ကား အဘိရ တည်း။ ထိုသူတို့သည် ဗေရရှေဘ မြို့၌ တရားသူကြီး လုပ်ကြ၏။
3 His sons did not walk in his ways, but turned away after dishonest gain, took bribes, and perverted justice.
၃သို့ရာတွင် အဘလမ်း သို့ မ လိုက်။ ငွေ ကို တပ်မက်သောစိတ် နှင့် လွဲ သွား၍ တံစိုး စားလျက် တရား ကို ဖျက် ကြ၏။
4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together and came to Samuel to Ramah.
၄ထိုအခါ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး အသက် ကြီးသူအပေါင်း တို့သည် စည်းဝေး ၍ ၊ ရှမွေလ ရှိရာ အရပ် ရာမ မြို့သို့ လာ ပြီးလျှင်၊
5 They said to him, “Behold, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.”
၅ကိုယ်တော် သည် အသက် ကြီးပါ၏။ ကိုယ်တော် ၏သား တို့သည် ကိုယ်တော် လမ်း သို့ မ လိုက် ကြပါ။ လူမျိုး အပေါင်း တို့၏ ထုံးစံရှိသည်အတိုင်း အကျွန်ုပ် တို့ကို အုပ်စိုး ရသောရှင် ဘုရင်ကို ချီးမြှောက် ပါ လော့ဟု လျှောက် ကြ၏။
6 But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” Samuel prayed to the LORD.
၆ထိုသို့ အကျွန်ုပ် တို့ကို အုပ်စိုး ရသောရှင် ဘုရင်ကိုပေး ပါလော့ဟု လျှောက် သောအမှု ကို ရှမွေလ သည် မ နှစ်သက်သောကြောင့် ထာဝရဘုရား အား ဆုတောင်း လေ၏။
7 The LORD said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in all that they tell you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me as the king over them.
၇ထာဝရဘုရား ကလည်း ၊ သင့် အား လူ များတို့ ပြော ဆိုသမျှ သော စကား ကို နားထောင် လော့။ သူတို့ သည် သင့် ကိုသာ မ ပယ် ၊ ငါသည် သူ တို့ကို မအုပ်စိုး စေခြင်းငှါငါ့ ကိုလည်းပယ် ကြပြီ။
8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, in that they have forsaken me and served other gods, so they also do to you.
၈သူတို့ကို အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ ငါ ဆောင် ခဲ့သောနေ့ မှစ၍ ယနေ့ တိုင်အောင် ငါ့ ကိုစွန့် ၍ အခြား တပါးသော ဘုရား တို့ကို ဝတ်ပြု သဖြင့် ကျင့် မိသမျှ သော အကျင့် အတိုင်း သင် ၌ လည်း ပြု ကြ၏။
9 Now therefore, listen to their voice. However, you shall protest solemnly to them, and shall show them the way of the king who will reign over them.”
၉ယခု မှာ သူ တို့စကား ကို နားထောင် လော့။ သို့ရာတွင် သတိ ပေး၍ သူ တို့ကို အုပ်စိုး သော ရှင်ဘုရင် ၏ ထုံးစံ ကို ပြ လော့ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
10 Samuel told all the LORD’s words to the people who asked him for a king.
၁၀ရှမွေလ သည်လည်း ၊ ရှင်ဘုရင် ကို တောင်း သောသူတို့အား ထာဝရဘုရား အမိန့် တော်ရှိသမျှ ကို ပြန်ပြော ၍၊
11 He said, “This will be the way of the king who shall reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them as his servants, for his chariots and to be his horsemen; and they will run before his chariots.
၁၁သင် တို့ကို အုပ်စိုး သော ရှင်ဘုရင် ၏ ထုံးစံ ဟူမူကား ၊ သင် တို့သား များကိုယူ ၍ မိမိ ရထား ထိန်း၊ မြင်း ထိန်းအရာ၌ ခန့် ထား၍ ၊ အချို့တို့သည်လည်း သူ ၏ရထား ရှေ့ မှာ ပြေး ရကြမည်။
12 He will appoint them to him for captains of thousands and captains of fifties; and he will assign some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest; and to make his instruments of war and the instruments of his chariots.
၁၂လူတထောင် အုပ် ၊ တရာအုပ်၊ ငါး ဆယ်အုပ် ၊ တဆယ်အုပ်အရာ၌ ခန့် ထား၍၊ လယ် လုပ်ခြင်း၊ စပါး ရိတ် ခြင်း၊ စစ် တိုက်တန်ဆာ ၊ ရထား တန်ဆာ ကိုလုပ် ခြင်း အမှုများကို ဝေဖန်လိမ့်မည်။
13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers, to be cooks, and to be bakers.
၁၃သင် တို့သမီး များကိုလည်း ယူ ၍၊ ခဲဘွယ် စားဘွယ်တို့ကို ပြင်ဆင်စေခြင်းငှါ ၎င်း ၊ စားတော်ကဲ ၊ မုန့် သည် ဖြစ်စေခြင်းငှါ ၎င်း ခန့်ထားလိမ့်မည်။
14 He will take your fields, your vineyards, and your olive groves, even your best, and give them to his servants.
၁၄သင် တို့လယ်ကွက် ၊ စပျစ် ဥယျာဉ်၊ သံလွင် ဥယျာဉ် အကောင်းဆုံး တို့ကို ယူ ၍ မိမိ ကျွန် တို့အား ပေး လိမ့်မည်။
15 He will take one tenth of your seed and of your vineyards, and give it to his officers and to his servants.
၁၅သင် တို့မျိုးစေ့ စပျစ်သီး ဆယ်ဘို့ တဘို့ကို ယူ၍ သူ ၏အရာရှိ အမှုထမ်း တို့အား ပေး လိမ့်မည်။
16 He will take your male servants, your female servants, your best young men, and your donkeys, and assign them to his own work.
၁၆သင် တို့ကျွန် ၊ ကျွန် မ၊ အကောင်းဆုံး သော လုလင် ၊ မြည်း များကို ယူ ၍ သူ ၏ အမှု ကို လုပ်ကိုင် စေ လိမ့်မည်။
17 He will take one tenth of your flocks; and you will be his servants.
၁၇သင် တို့သိုးစု ဆယ်ဘို့ တဘို့ကိုလည်းယူ၍ သင် တို့သည် သူ ၏ ကျွန် ခံရ ကြမည်။
18 You will cry out in that day because of your king whom you will have chosen for yourselves; and the LORD will not answer you in that day.”
၁၈သင် တို့ရွေး ယူသော ရှင်ဘုရင် ကြောင့် ၊ ထို နေ့၌ သင်တို့အော်ဟစ် သော်လည်း ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် နားထောင် တော်မ မူဟု သတိပေးလေ၏။
19 But the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel; and they said, “No, but we will have a king over us,
၁၉သို့သော်လည်း လူ များတို့က၊ မ ဟုတ်ပါ။ အုပ်စိုးသော ရှင်ဘုရင် ကို လိုချင်ပါ၏။
20 that we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.”
၂၀အကျွန်ုပ် တို့သည် တပါးအမျိုးသား အပေါင်း တို့နှင့် တူမည်အကြောင်းအကျွန်ုပ် တို့ကို အုပ်စိုး သော ရှင်ဘုရင် ရှိရမည်။ အကျွန်ုပ် တို့ရှေ့ မှာ ထွက် ကြွ၍ စစ် တိုက်ရမည်ဟု ရှမွေလ ၏ စကား ကို နား မထောင်ဘဲ ဆို ကြ၏။
21 Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD.
၂၁ထိုသူတို့၏ စကား များကို ရှမွေလ သည် ကြား လျှင် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့တော်၌ လျှောက် လေ၏။
22 The LORD said to Samuel, “Listen to their voice, and make them a king.” Samuel said to the men of Israel, “Everyone go to your own city.”
၂၂ထာဝရဘုရား ကလည်း ၊ သူ တို့စကား ကို နားထောင် ၍ သူ တို့အဘို့ ရှင် ဘုရင်ကို ချီးမြှောက်လော့ဟု မိန့် တော်မူသဖြင့် ၊ ရှမွေလ က၊ သင်တို့အသီးအသီး နေရာ မြို့ ရွာသို့ ပြန် သွားကြလော့ဟု ဣသရေလ လူ တို့အား ပြော ဆိုလေ၏။
