1 Samuel 20
1 David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said to Jonathan, “What have I done? What is my iniquity? What is my sin before your father, that he seeks my life?”
И отбеже Давид от Навафа (иже) в Раме и прииде ко Ионафану и рече: что сотворих? И что неправда моя? И что согреших пред отцем твоим, яко ищет души моея?
2 He said to him, “Far from it; you will not die. Behold, my father does nothing either great or small, but that he discloses it to me. Why would my father hide this thing from me? It is not so.”
И рече ему Ионафан: никакоже, ты не умреши: се, не имать сотворити отец мой глагола велика, или мала, и не открыет уха моего: и что яко скрыет отец мой глагол сей от мене? Не буди сие.
3 David swore moreover, and said, “Your father knows well that I have found favor in your eyes; and he says, ‘Do not let Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved;’ but truly as the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, there is but a step between me and death.”
И отвеща Давид Ионафану и рече: ведая ведает отец твой, яко обретох благодать пред очима твоима, и глаголет: да не познает сего Ионафан, негли не восхощет: но жив Господь и жива душа твоя, зане якоже рекох, исполнися между мною и между отцем твоим даже до смерти.
4 Then Jonathan said to David, “Whatever your soul desires, I will even do it for you.”
И рече паки Ионафан к Давиду: чесого желает душа твоя, и что сотворю тебе?
5 David said to Jonathan, “Behold, tomorrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to dine with the king; but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field to the third day at evening.
И рече Давид ко Ионафану: се, новомесячие заутра, и аз седя не сяду с царем ясти, и послеши мя, и скрыюся на поли до вечера дне третияго:
6 If your father misses me at all, then say, ‘David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem, his city; for it is the yearly sacrifice there for all the family.’
и аще смотря усмотрит мя отец твой, и речеши: прося упросися от мене Давид отити до Вифлеема града своего, яко жертва дний тамо всему племени:
7 If he says, ‘It is well,’ your servant shall have peace; but if he is angry, then know that evil is determined by him.
аще тако речет: благо: мир рабу твоему: аще же жестоко отвещает тебе, разумей, яко совершися злоба от него:
8 Therefore deal kindly with your servant, for you have brought your servant into a covenant of the LORD with you; but if there is iniquity in me, kill me yourself, for why should you bring me to your father?”
и да сотвориши милость с рабом твоим, яко ввел еси в завет Господень раба твоего с собою: и аще есть неправда в рабе твоем, умертви мя ты, а ко отцу твоему почто тако имаши мя вводити?
9 Jonathan said, “Far be it from you; for if I should at all know that evil were determined by my father to come on you, then would not I tell you that?”
И рече Ионафан: никакоже (буди) тебе: егда аще разумевая уразумею, яко совершися злоба отца моего, еже приити на тебе, аще и не будеши во градех твоих, аз возвещу тебе.
10 Then David said to Jonathan, “Who will tell me if your father answers you roughly?”
И рече Давид ко Ионафану: кто возвестит ми, аще отвещает отец твой жестоко?
11 Jonathan said to David, “Come! Let’s go out into the field.” They both went out into the field.
И рече Ионафан к Давиду: иди, и пребуди на поли. И идоста оба на поле.
12 Jonathan said to David, “By the LORD, the God of Israel, when I have sounded out my father about this time tomorrow, or the third day, behold, if there is good toward David, will not I then send to you and disclose it to you?
И рече Ионафан к Давиду: Господь Бог Израилев весть, яко искушу отца моего во время (сие) заутра, или третияго дне, и сие, аще благо будет о Давиде, и не имам послати к тебе на поле и возвестити сия во ушы твои:
13 The LORD do so to Jonathan and more also, should it please my father to do you evil, if I do not disclose it to you and send you away, that you may go in peace. May the LORD be with you as he has been with my father.
сия да сотворит Бог Ионафану и сия да приложит, аще не возвещу злая на тя, и открыю ухо твое, и отпущу тя, и отидеши в мире: и будет Господь с тобою, якоже бе со отцем моим:
14 You shall not only show me the loving kindness of the LORD while I still live, that I not die;
и аще убо еще жив буду аз, да сотвориши милость со мною:
15 but you shall also not cut off your kindness from my house forever, no, not when the LORD has cut off every one of the enemies of David from the surface of the earth.”
и аще смертию умру, да не отимеши милости твоея от дому моего до века:
16 So Jonathan made a covenant with David’s house, saying, “The LORD will require it at the hand of David’s enemies.”
аще же ни, егда искоренит Господь враги Давидовы, коегождо от лица земли, да обрящется имя Ионафане в дому Давидове, и изыщет Господь враги Давидовы.
17 Jonathan caused David to swear again, for the love that he had to him; for he loved him as he loved his own soul.
И приложи Ионафан еще клятися Давиду, яко возлюби душу любящаго его.
18 Then Jonathan said to him, “Tomorrow is the new moon, and you will be missed, because your seat will be empty.
И рече Ионафан к нему: заутра новомесячие, и присмотрен будеши, яко праздно усмотрено будет место твое:
19 When you have stayed three days, go down quickly and come to the place where you hid yourself when this started, and remain by the stone Ezel.
ты же премедлиши три дни и пребудеши на месте твоем, идеже скрыешися в день делания, и сядеши при Ергаве онем:
20 I will shoot three arrows on its side, as though I shot at a mark.
и аз утрою стрелами стреляя, и стрелю вергая до амаггариа:
21 Behold, I will send the boy, saying, ‘Go, find the arrows!’ If I tell the boy, ‘Behold, the arrows are on this side of you. Take them;’ then come, for there is peace to you and no danger, as the LORD lives.
и се, послю отрока, глаголя: иди и обрящи ми стрелу: и аще реку отроку: зде стрела от тебе, и зде, возми ю: и ты гряди ко мне, яко мир тебе, и несть о тебе слова, жив Господь:
22 But if I say this to the boy, ‘Behold, the arrows are beyond you,’ then go your way, for the LORD has sent you away.
аще же тако реку юноши: тамо стрела от тебе и далее: иди, яко отсла тя Господь:
23 Concerning the matter which you and I have spoken of, behold, the LORD is between you and me forever.”
и глагол егоже аз и ты глаголахом, се, Господь свидетель между тобою и мною до века.
24 So David hid himself in the field. When the new moon had come, the king sat himself down to eat food.
И скрыся Давид на поли, и прииде новомесячие, и прииде царь на трапезу ясти,
25 The king sat on his seat, as at other times, even on the seat by the wall; and Jonathan stood up, and Abner sat by Saul’s side, but David’s place was empty.
и седе царь на месте своем якоже и всегда на престоле при стене, и предвари Ионафана, и седе Авенир от страны Сауловы, и усмотрено бысть (праздно) место Давидово.
26 Nevertheless Saul did not say anything that day, for he thought, “Something has happened to him. He is not clean. Surely he is not clean.”
И не глагола Саул ничтоже в той день, помысли бо, случай видится, нечисту быти, яко не очистися.
27 On the next day after the new moon, the second day, David’s place was empty. Saul said to Jonathan his son, “Why did not the son of Jesse come to eat, either yesterday, or today?”
И бысть наутрие месяца в день вторый, и усмотрено бысть праздно место Давидово, и рече Саул ко Ионафану сыну своему: что яко не прииде сын Иессеев ни вчера, ни днесь на трапезу?
28 Jonathan answered Saul, “David earnestly asked permission of me to go to Bethlehem.
И отвеща Ионафан к Саулу и рече ему: упросися от мене Давид до Вифлеема града своего ити,
29 He said, ‘Please let me go, for our family has a sacrifice in the city. My brother has commanded me to be there. Now, if I have found favor in your eyes, please let me go away and see my brothers.’ Therefore he has not come to the king’s table.”
и рече: отпусти мя ныне (в Вифлеем), яко жертва колена нашего во граде, и заповедаша мне братия моя: и ныне аще обретох благодать пред очима твоима, да пойду ныне и узрю братию мою: сего ради не прииде на трапезу цареву.
30 Then Saul’s anger burned against Jonathan, and he said to him, “You son of a perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame, and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?
И разгневася гневом Саул на Ионафана зело и рече ему: сыне девок блудниц, не вем ли, яко сообщник еси ты сыну Иессееву в срамоту твою и в срамоту откровения матере твоея?
31 For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, you will not be established, nor will your kingdom. Therefore now send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die!”
Яко во вся дни, в няже сын Иессеев жити имать на земли, не уготовится царство твое: ныне убо послав, поими юношу, яко сын смерти есть сей.
32 Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said to him, “Why should he be put to death? What has he done?”
И отвеща Ионафан Саулу отцу своему и рече: за что умирает? Что сотвори?
33 Saul cast his spear at him to strike him. By this Jonathan knew that his father was determined to put David to death.
И верже Саул копием на Ионафана, еже умертвити его. И позна Ионафан, яко совершися злоба сия от отца его, да умертвит Давида:
34 So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and ate no food the second day of the month; for he was grieved for David, because his father had treated him shamefully.
и вскочи Ионафан от трапезы во гневе ярости, и не яде хлеба в день вторый месяца, яко сокрушися о Давиде, зане соверши (злобу) на него отец его.
35 In the morning, Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little boy with him.
И бысть заутра, и изыде Ионафан на село, якоже совещася о свидении с Давидом, и отрок мал с ним.
36 He said to his boy, “Run, find now the arrows which I shoot.” As the boy ran, he shot an arrow beyond him.
И рече отроку: тецы, и обрящи ми стрелы, имиже аз стреляю. И отрок тече, и он стрели стрелою за него.
37 When the boy had come to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the boy, and said, “Is not the arrow beyond you?”
И прииде отрок до места стрелы, идеже стрелил Ионафан. И возопи Ионафан вслед отрока и рече: тамо стрела от тебе и далее.
38 Jonathan cried after the boy, “Go fast! Hurry! Do not delay!” Jonathan’s boy gathered up the arrows, and came to his master.
И паки возопи Ионафан вслед отрока своего, глаголя: потщися скоро, и не стой. И собра отрок Ионафану стрелы и принесе их к господину своему.
39 But the boy did not know anything. Only Jonathan and David knew the matter.
Отрок же не уведе ничесоже, токмо Ионафан и Давид ведеста вещь.
40 Jonathan gave his weapons to his boy, and said to him, “Go, carry them to the city.”
И отда Ионафан оружие свое отроку своему и рече отроку своему: поиди и отнеси во град.
41 As soon as the boy was gone, David arose out of the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times. They kissed one another and wept with one another, and David wept the most.
И егда отиде отрок, и Давид воста от Ергава, и паде на лице свое, и поклонися ему трижды, и облобыза кийждо друг друга, и плакася кийждо о друг друзе до скончания велика.
42 Jonathan said to David, “Go in peace, because we have both sworn in the LORD’s name, saying, ‘The LORD is between me and you, and between my offspring and your offspring, forever.’” He arose and departed; and Jonathan went into the city.
И рече Ионафан Давиду: иди с миром, и якоже кляхомся мы оба именем Господним, глаголюще: Господь да будет свидетель между мною и тобою и между семенем моим и между семенем твоим до века. И воста Давид и отиде. Ионафан же вниде во град.
