< 1 Corinthians 10 >

1 Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
Pakuti sindikufuna kuti inu mukhale osadziwa zenizeni, abale, kuti makolo athu anatsogozedwa ndi mtambo ndikuti onse anawoloka nyanja.
2 and were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
Ndipo onse anabatizidwa mwa Mose mu mtambo ndi mʼnyanja.
3 and all ate the same spiritual food;
Onse anadya chakudya chimodzi chauzimu
4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.
ndipo anamwa chakumwa chimodzi chauzimu; popeza anamwa kuchokera mʼthanthwe lomwe anayenda nalo, ndipo thanthwe limeneli linali Khristu.
5 However with most of them, God was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Ngakhale zinali choncho, Mulungu sanakondwere ndi ambiri a iwo, motero ambiri mwa iwo anafera mʼchipululu.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.
Tsono zinthu izi zinachitika kuti zikhale chitsanzo, kuti ife tisayike mitima yathu pa zinthu zoyipa monga anachitira makolo athuwo.
7 Do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
Musakhale anthu opembedza mafano, monga analili ena mwa iwo. Pakuti zalembedwa kuti, “Anthuwo anakhala pansi nayamba kudya ndi kumwa. Kenaka anayimirira nayamba kuvina mwachilendo.”
8 Let’s not commit sexual immorality, as some of them committed, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.
Tisachite chigololo monga ena mwa iwo anachitira ndipo tsiku limodzi anafapo anthu 23,000.
9 Let’s not test Christ, as some of them tested, and perished by the serpents.
Tisamuyese Khristu, monga ena mwa iwo anachitira ndipo anaphedwa ndi njoka.
10 Do not grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and perished by the destroyer.
Ndipo osamawiringula, monga ena mwa iwo anachitira naphedwa ndi mngelo wowononga.
11 Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages (aiōn g165) have come.
Zinthu izi zinawachitikira kuti zikhale chitsanzo ndipo zinalembedwa kuti zikhale chenjezo kwa ife, amene tiyandikira nthawi ya kutha kwa zonse. (aiōn g165)
12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he does not fall.
Choncho, ngati mukuganiza kuti mwayima mwamphamvu, samalani mungagwe!
13 No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Palibe mayesero amene mwakumana nawo oposa amene anthu ena onse anakumana nawo. Mulungu ngokhulupirika; sadzalola kuti inu muyesedwe koposa muyeso umene mutha kupirira. Koma pamene mwayesedwa, Iyenso adzakupatsani njira yopambanira mayeserowo.
14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
Choncho abwenzi anga okondedwa, lekani kupembedza mafano.
15 I speak as to wise men. Judge what I say.
Ndikuyankhula kwa a anthu anzeru zawo, nokha muweruze pa zimene ndikunenazi.
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is not it a sharing of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is not it a sharing of the body of Christ?
Pamene tidalitsa chikho cha Mgonero wa Ambuye, mothokoza Mulungu, kodi sitikugawana magazi a Khristu? Nanga buledi amene timanyemayo, kodi sitikugawana thupi la Khristu?
17 Because there is one loaf of bread, we, who are many, are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.
Pakuti buledi ndi mmodzi yekha, ifenso ngakhale tili ambiri, ndife thupi limodzi, popeza tonse timagawana buledi mmodzi yemweyo.
18 Consider Israel according to the flesh. Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?
Taganizirani zimene amachita Aisraeli. Kodi onse amene amadya zoperekedwa nsembe, samachita nawo miyambo ya pa guwapo?
19 What am I saying then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?
Kodi ndikutanthauza kuti nsembe zoperekedwa kwa mafano ndi kanthu konse, kapena kuti mafano ndi kanthu konse?
20 But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not desire that you would have fellowship with demons.
Ayi. Nsembe za osakhulupirira zimaperekedwa kwa ziwanda, osati kwa Mulungu, ndipo sindikufuna kuti muziyanjana ndi ziwandazo.
21 You cannot both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot both partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.
Simungamwe chikho cha Ambuye, ndi kukamweranso chikho cha ziwanda. Simungadyere pa tebulo la Ambuye ndiponso la ziwanda.
22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
Kodi tikufuna kuwutsa mkwiyo wa Ambuye? Kodi ndife amphamvu kuposa Iye?
23 “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.
Mutha kunena kuti, “Zinthu zonse nʼzololedwa,” komatu si zonse zili za phindu. “Zinthu zonse nʼzololedwa,” komatu si zonse zimathandiza.
24 Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
Munthu aliyense asafunefune zokomera iye yekha, koma zokomeranso ena.
25 Whatever is sold in the butcher shop, eat, asking no question for the sake of conscience,
Idyani nyama iliyonse imene amagulitsa pa msika, osafunsa mafunso okhudzana ndi chikumbumtima chanu.
26 for “the earth is the Lord’s, and its fullness.”
Popeza kuti, “Dziko lapansi ndi la Ambuye ndi zonse za mʼmenemo ndi zake.”
27 But if one of those who do not believe invites you to a meal, and you are inclined to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no questions for the sake of conscience.
Ngati wosakhulupirira akuyitanani kuti mukadye naye, inuyo ndi kuvomera kupitako, mukadye chilichonse chimene akakupatseni ndipo musakafunse mafunso okhudzana ndi chikumbumtima chanu.
28 But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” do not eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For “the earth is the Lord’s, with all its fullness.”
Koma ngati wina akuwuzani kuti, “Izi zaperekedwa nsembe,” musadye zimenezo, pofuna kuthandiza amene wakuwuzaniyo komanso chifukwa cha chikumbumtima.
29 Conscience, I say, not your own, but the other’s conscience. For why is my liberty judged by another conscience?
Ndikunena za chikumbumtima cha winayo osati chanu. Tsono mungafunse kuti, nʼchifukwa chiyani ufulu wanga ukuphwanyidwa chifukwa cha chikumbumtima cha munthu wina?
30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced for something I give thanks for?
Ngati ndikuyamika Mulungu chifukwa cha chakudya, nanga munthu angandinyoze bwanji pa zinthu zomwe ndayamikira nazo Mulungu?
31 Whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Nʼchifukwa chake chilichonse mungadye kapena kumwa, kapena chimene mungachite, chitani zonse ku ulemerero wa Mulungu.
32 Give no occasion for stumbling, whether to Jews, to Greeks, or to the assembly of God;
Musakhumudwitse aliyense, kaya ndi Myuda, Mgriki, kapena mpingo wa Mulungu.
33 even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.
Mu zonse ndikuyesetsa kukondweretsa aliyense mʼnjira iliyonse. Popeza sindikufunafuna zokondweretsa ine ndekha koma zokomera ambiri kuti apulumutsidwe.
