1 Chronicles 5
1 The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn, but because he defiled his father’s couch, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; and the genealogy is not to be listed according to the birthright.
യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ രൂബേന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: - അവനല്ലോ ആദ്യജാതൻ; എങ്കിലും അവൻ തന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ശയ്യയെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠാവകാശം യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മകനായ യോസേഫിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാൎക്കു ലഭിച്ചു; വംശാവലി ജ്യേഷ്ഠാവകാശപ്രകാരം എണ്ണുവാനുള്ളതുമല്ല.
2 For Judah prevailed above his brothers, and from him came the prince; but the birthright was Joseph’s)—
യെഹൂദാ തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെക്കാൾ പ്രബലനായ്തീൎന്നു; അവനിൽനിന്നു പ്രഭു ഉത്ഭവിച്ചു; ജ്യേഷ്ഠാവകാശമോ യോസേഫിന്നു ലഭിച്ചു--
3 the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ രൂബേന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഹാനോക്ക്, പല്ലൂ, ഹെസ്രോൻ, കൎമ്മി.
4 The sons of Joel: Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
യോവേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അവന്റെ മകൻ ശെമയ്യാവു; അവന്റെ മകൻ ഗോഗ്; അവന്റെ മകൻ ശിമെയി; അവന്റെ മകൻ മീഖാ;
5 Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son,
അവന്റെ മകൻ രെയായാവു; അവന്റെ മകൻ ബാൽ;
6 and Beerah his son, whom Tilgath Pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive. He was prince of the Reubenites.
അവന്റെ മകൻ ബെയേര; അവനെ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ തിഗ്ലത്ത്-പിലേസർ ബദ്ധനാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവൻ രൂബേന്യരിൽ പ്രഭുവായിരുന്നു.
7 His brothers by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was listed: the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
അവരുടെ വംശാവലി തലമുറതലമുറയായി എഴുതിയിരുന്ന പ്രകാരം കുലം കുലമായി അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ ആരെന്നാൽ: തലവനായ യയീയേൽ,
8 and Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who lived in Aroer, even to Nebo and Baal Meon;
സെഖൎയ്യാവു, അരോവേരിൽ നെബോവും ബാൽ-മെയോനുംവരെ പാൎത്ത ബേല; അവൻ യോവേലിന്റെ മകനായ ശേമയുടെ മകനായ ആസാസിന്റെ മകനായിരുന്നു.
9 and he lived eastward even to the entrance of the wilderness from the river Euphrates, because their livestock were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികൾ ഗിലെയാദ്‌ദേശത്തു പെരുകിയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ കിഴക്കോട്ടു ഫ്രാത്ത് നദിമുതൽ മരുഭൂമിവരെ പാൎത്തു.
10 In the days of Saul, they made war with the Hagrites, who fell by their hand; and they lived in their tents throughout all the land east of Gilead.
ശൌലിന്റെ കാലത്തു അവർ ഹഗ്രീയരോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്തു; അവർ അവരുടെ കയ്യാൽ പട്ടുപോയശേഷം അവർ ഗിലെയാദിന്നു കിഴക്കു എല്ലാടവും കൂടാരം അടിച്ചു പാൎത്തു.
11 The sons of Gad lived beside them in the land of Bashan to Salecah:
ഗാദിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ അവൎക്കു എതിരെ ബാശാൻദേശത്തു സൽകാവരെ പാൎത്തു.
12 Joel the chief, Shapham the second, Janai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
തലവനായ യോവേൽ, രണ്ടാമനായ ശാഫാം, യനായി, ബാശാനിലെ ശാഫാത്ത്.
13 Their brothers of their fathers’ houses: Michael, Meshullam, Sheba, Jorai, Jacan, Zia, and Eber, seven.
അവരുടെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിലെ സഹോദരന്മാർ: മീഖായേൽ, മെശുല്ലാം, ശേബ, യോരായി, യക്കാൻ, സീയ, ഏബെർ ഇങ്ങനെ ഏഴുപേർ.
14 These were the sons of Abihail, the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
ഇവർ ഹൂരിയുടെ മകനായ അബിഹയീലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായിരുന്നു. ഹൂരി യാരോഹയുടെ മകൻ; അവൻ ഗിലെയാദിന്റെ മകൻ; അവൻ മീഖായേലിന്റെ മകൻ; അവൻ യെശീശയുടെ മകൻ; അവൻ യഹദോവിന്റെ മകൻ;
15 Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of their fathers’ houses.
അവൻ ബൂസിന്റെ മകൻ; ഗൂനിയുടെ മകനായ അബ്ദീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ അഹി അവരുടെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിൽ തലവനായിരുന്നു.
16 They lived in Gilead in Bashan and in its towns, and in all the pasture lands of Sharon as far as their borders.
അവർ ഗിലെയാദിലെ ബാശാനിലും അതിന്നുൾപ്പെട്ട പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും അവരുടെ അതിരുകളോളം ശാരോനിലെ എല്ലാപുല്പുറങ്ങളിലും പാൎത്തു.
17 All these were listed by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
ഇവരുടെ വംശാവലി ഒക്കെയും യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യോഥാമിന്റെ കാലത്തും യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ കാലത്തും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
18 The sons of Reuben, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, able to shoot with bow, and skillful in war, were forty-four thousand seven hundred sixty that were able to go out to war.
രൂബേന്യരും ഗാദ്യരും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതി ഗോത്രക്കാരും ശൂരന്മാരും വാളും പരിചയും എടുപ്പാനും വില്ലുകുലെച്ചു എയ്‌വാനും പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ളവരും യുദ്ധസാമൎത്ഥ്യമുള്ളവരുമായ പടച്ചേവകർ നാല്പത്തുനാലായിരത്തെഴുനൂറ്ററുപതു പേരുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
19 They made war with the Hagrites, with Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab.
അവർ ഹഗ്രീയരോടും യെതൂർ, നാഫീശ്, നോദാബ് എന്നിവരോടും യുദ്ധംചെയ്തു.
20 They were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them; for they cried to God in the battle, and he answered them because they put their trust in him.
അവരുടെ നേരെ അവൎക്കു സഹായം ലഭിക്കയാൽ ഹഗ്രീയരും കൂടെയുള്ളവരെല്ലാവരും അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ അകപ്പെട്ടു; അവർ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു അവനിൽ ആശ്രയം വെച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ അവരുടെ പ്രാൎത്ഥന കേട്ടരുളി.
21 They took away their livestock: of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred fifty thousand, and of donkeys two thousand, and of men one hundred thousand.
അവൻ അമ്പതിനായിരം ഒട്ടകം, രണ്ടുലക്ഷത്തമ്പതിനായിരം ആടു, രണ്ടായിരം കഴുത എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികളെയും ഒരു ലക്ഷം ആളുകളെയും പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
22 For many fell slain, because the war was of God. They lived in their place until the captivity.
യുദ്ധം ദൈവഹിതത്താൽ ഉണ്ടായതുകൊണ്ടു അധികംപേർ ഹതന്മാരായി വീണു. അവർ പ്രവാസകാലംവരെ അവൎക്കു പകരം പാൎത്തു.
23 The children of the half-tribe of Manasseh lived in the land. They increased from Bashan to Baal Hermon, Senir, and Mount Hermon.
മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രക്കാർ ദേശത്തു പാൎത്തു ബാശാൻമുതൽ ബാൽ-ഹെൎമ്മോനും, സെനീരും, ഹെൎമ്മോൻ പൎവ്വതവും വരെ പെരുകി പരന്നു.
24 These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdiel—mighty men of valor, famous men, heads of their fathers’ houses.
അവരുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങളുടെ തലവന്മാരാവിതു: ഏഫെർ, യിശി, എലീയേൽ, അസ്ത്രീയേൽ, യിരെമ്യാവു, ഹോദവ്യാവു, യഹദീയേൽ; ഇവർ ശൂരന്മാരും ശ്രുതിപ്പെട്ടവരും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങൾക്കു തലവന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു.
25 They trespassed against the God of their fathers, and played the prostitute after the gods of the peoples of the land whom God destroyed before them.
എന്നാൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവത്തോടു ദ്രോഹംചെയ്തു, ദൈവം അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ ദേശത്തെ ജാതികളുടെ ദേവന്മാരോടു ചേൎന്നു പരസംഗമായി നടന്നു.
26 So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath Pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried away the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and to the river of Gozan, to this day.
ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവം അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ പൂലിന്റെയും അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ തിഗ്ലത്ത്-പിൽനേസരിന്റെയും മനസ്സുണൎത്തി; അവൻ രൂബേന്യരെയും ഗാദ്യരെയും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതി ഗോത്രത്തെയും പിടിച്ചു ഹലഹിലേക്കും ഹാബോരിലേക്കും ഹാരയിലേക്കും ഗോസാൻ നദീതീരത്തേക്കും കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവിടെ അവർ ഇന്നുവരെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
