Luke 24
1 And on the first day of the week, very early morning, they came to the sepulcher bringing the spices that they prepared, and some women with them.
ആഴ്ചയുടെ ആദ്യദിവസം അതിരാവിലെ ആ സ്ത്രീകൾ തങ്ങൾ തയ്യാറാക്കിയ സുഗന്ധദ്രവ്യങ്ങൾ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ട് കല്ലറയുടെ അടുത്തെത്തി.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher.
കല്ലറയുടെ കവാടത്തിൽനിന്ന് കല്ല് ഉരുട്ടി മാറ്റിയിരുന്നതായി അവർ കണ്ടു.
3 And having entered in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
അവർ ഉള്ളിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചപ്പോൾ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം അവിടെ കണ്ടില്ല.
4 And it came to pass while they were bewildered about this, that behold, two men stood near them in shining apparel.
അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അവർ ആശ്ചര്യചകിതരായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, പെട്ടെന്നു മിന്നൽപ്പിണർപോലെ തിളങ്ങുന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ട് പുരുഷന്മാർ തൊട്ടരികത്തുനിൽക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.
5 And since they became frightened and bowing down their face to the ground, they said to them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
ആ സ്ത്രീകൾ ഭയവിഹ്വലരായി, തല ഉയർത്താൻപോലും കഴിയാതെ നിൽക്കുമ്പോൾ ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ അവരോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു: “നിങ്ങൾ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതെന്തിന്?
6 He is not here, but was raised. Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee,
അദ്ദേഹം ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല! അദ്ദേഹം ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു!
7 saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day to rise.
മുമ്പേ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഗലീലയിൽ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ യേശു നിങ്ങളോട്, ‘മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ പാപികളുടെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെടുകയും മൂന്നാംനാൾ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കുകയും വേണം’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞത് ഓർക്കുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
8 And they remembered his sayings.
അപ്പോൾ അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ ഓർത്തു.
9 And having returned from the sepulcher, they reported all these things to the eleven, and to all the others.
കല്ലറയിൽനിന്ന് മടങ്ങിയെത്തിയശേഷം അവർ ഈ കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം പതിനൊന്ന് അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോടും മറ്റു ശിഷ്യരോടും അറിയിച്ചു.
10 Now they were Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles.
മഗ്ദലക്കാരി മറിയ, യോഹന്ന, യാക്കോബിന്റെ അമ്മ മറിയ എന്നിവരും അവരോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മറ്റു സ്ത്രീകളുമാണ് ഈ വാർത്ത അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരെ ആദ്യം അറിയിക്കുന്നത്.
11 And their sayings appeared before them as idle talk, and they disbelieved them.
എന്നാൽ, അവരുടെ വാക്കുകൾ വെറും കെട്ടുകഥപോലെ തോന്നുകയാൽ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർ അതു വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.
12 But having risen, Peter ran to the sepulcher. And having stooped down, he sees the linen cloths laying alone. And he departed, wondering to himself at that which happened.
എങ്കിലും പത്രോസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു കല്ലറയുടെ അടുത്തേക്കോടി. അയാൾ കല്ലറയ്ക്കുള്ളിലേക്കു കുനിഞ്ഞു നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ മൃതദേഹം പൊതിഞ്ഞിരുന്ന മൃദുലവസ്ത്രങ്ങൾമാത്രം അവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നതുകണ്ട് സംഭവിച്ചതെന്തായിരിക്കുമെന്ന് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
13 And behold, two of them were going the same day to a village that was sixty furlongs away from Jerusalem, which name was Emmaus.
അന്നുതന്നെ ശിഷ്യരിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ ജെറുശലേമിൽനിന്ന് ഏകദേശം പതിനൊന്ന് കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയുള്ള എമ്മവൂസ് എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു യാത്രചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു.
14 And they conversed with each other about all these things that happened.
സംഭവിച്ച സകലകാര്യങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചും അവർ പരസ്പരം സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
15 And it came to pass, while they conversed and discussed, that Jesus himself also having approached, went along with them.
അങ്ങനെ അവർ സംസാരിച്ചും ചർച്ച ചെയ്തും പൊയ്ക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശുവും അടുത്തുചെന്ന് അവരോടു ചേർന്നു നടന്നു.
16 But their eyes were held, not to recognize him.
എന്നാൽ, അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തിരിച്ചറിയാത്തവണ്ണം ദൈവം അവരുടെ കാഴ്ചശക്തി നിയന്ത്രിച്ചിരുന്നു.
17 And he said to them, What are these words that ye toss back to each other, while walking and are looking sad.
അദ്ദേഹം അവരോട്, “യാത്രയ്ക്കിടയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ചർച്ചചെയ്യുന്ന കാര്യമെന്താണ്?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അവർ നിരാശപ്പെട്ട മുഖത്തോടെ നിശ്ചലരായി നിലകൊണ്ടു.
18 And one, whose name was Cleopas, having answered, said to him, Thou only visit Jerusalem and do not know the things that happened in it during these days?
അവരിൽ ക്ലെയോപ്പാവ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളയാൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് ചോദിച്ചു, “ജെറുശലേമിലെ സന്ദർശകരിൽ താങ്കൾമാത്രമാണല്ലോ ഈ നാളുകളിൽ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായ സംഭവങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്തത്?”
19 And he said to them, What? And they said to him, The things about Jesus the Nazarene, who became a prophet, a mighty man in work and word before God and all the people,
“എന്തു സംഭവങ്ങൾ?” യേശു ചോദിച്ചു. അവർ അപ്പോൾ ഇങ്ങനെ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു: “നസറെത്തുകാരനായ യേശുവിനു സംഭവിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങൾതന്നെ. പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും വാക്കിലും ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും സർവമനുഷ്യരുടെയും ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ അതിശക്തനായ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ ആയിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.
20 and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up for condemnation of death, and crucified him.
ഞങ്ങളുടെ പുരോഹിതമുഖ്യന്മാരും ഭരണാധികാരികളും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ മരണശിക്ഷയ്ക്കായി റോമാക്കാരെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കുകയും അവർ ക്രൂശിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
21 But we hoped that he is the man who is going to redeem Israel. But even with all these things, it brings this third day today from which time these things happened.
ഞങ്ങളോ, ഇസ്രായേലിനെ വിമോചിപ്പിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നത് അദ്ദേഹമാണെന്ന് ആശിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്തു പറയേണ്ടൂ? ഇതൊക്കെ സംഭവിച്ചിട്ട് ഇന്ന് മൂന്നാംനാൾ ആകുന്നു.
22 But also some of our women astonished us, having come to be at the sepulcher early morning.
അതുകൊണ്ടും തീർന്നില്ല, ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ള ചില സ്ത്രീകൾ ഞങ്ങളെ അമ്പരപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഇന്ന് അതിരാവിലെ കല്ലറയുടെ അടുത്തുചെന്നു;
23 And not having found his body, they came, saying also to have seen a vision of agents who say he is alive.
എന്നാൽ, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശരീരം അവർക്കു കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. അവർ വന്നു ഞങ്ങളോട്, അദ്ദേഹം ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നറിയിച്ച ദൂതന്മാരെ അവർ ദർശനത്തിൽ കണ്ടതായി പറഞ്ഞു.
24 And some of those with us went to the sepulcher, and found it this way, just as also the women said, but they did not see him.
അപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടുകാരിൽ ചിലർ കല്ലറയുടെ അടുത്തേക്കുപോയി. അവരും സ്ത്രീകൾ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെതന്നെ കണ്ടു. എന്നാൽ അവർ യേശുവിനെ കണ്ടില്ല.”
25 And he said to them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets spoke.
അദ്ദേഹം അവരോട്, “ഹാ! നിങ്ങൾ എത്ര ബുദ്ധിശൂന്യർ! പ്രവാചകന്മാർ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതെല്ലാം വിശ്വസിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്ത മന്ദബുദ്ധികളേ!
26 Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
ഇവയെല്ലാം സഹിച്ചതിനുശേഷമല്ലേ ക്രിസ്തു അവിടത്തെ മഹത്ത്വത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കേണ്ടത്?”
27 And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things about himself.
പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം മോശയുടെയും സകലപ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും ലിഖിതങ്ങളിലും ശേഷം എല്ലാ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളിലും തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ളത് അവർക്കു വ്യാഖ്യാനിച്ചു കൊടുത്തു.
28 And they came near to the village where they were going, and he pretended to go further.
അവർ തങ്ങൾക്കു പോകേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തോടടുത്തപ്പോൾ യേശു അവരെ വിട്ട് മുന്നോട്ട് തന്റെ യാത്ര തുടരുന്നതായി ഭാവിച്ചു.
29 And they constrained him, saying, Remain with us, because it is toward evening, and the day has declined. And he went in to remain with them.
അപ്പോൾ അവർ, “ഞങ്ങളുടെകൂടെ താമസിക്കുക; സന്ധ്യയാകാറായല്ലോ; പകൽ ഇതാ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നിർബന്ധിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ അദ്ദേഹം അവരോടുകൂടെ താമസിക്കാനായി അവരുടെ ഗ്രാമത്തിലേക്ക് പോയി.
30 And it came to pass during his dining with them, that, having taken the bread, he blessed, and having broken in pieces he gave to them.
അവരോടൊപ്പം ഭക്ഷണത്തിനിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം അപ്പം കൈകളിലെടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി, നുറുക്കി അവർക്കു കൊടുക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he became invisible from them.
അപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ കാഴ്ചശക്തിമേലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന നിയന്ത്രണം മാറുകയും അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തിരിച്ചറിയുകയും ചെയ്തു. തൽക്ഷണം അദ്ദേഹം അവരുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽനിന്നു മറയുകയും ചെയ്തു.
32 And they said to each other, Was not our heart burning within us while he spoke to us on the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?
“അദ്ദേഹം വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു നമ്മോടു സംസാരിക്കുകയും തിരുവെഴുത്തുകൾ വിശദീകരിച്ചുതരികയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയം ജ്വലിക്കുകയായിരുന്നില്ലേ?” അവർ പരസ്പരം ചോദിച്ചു.
33 And having risen up the same hour, they returned to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven gathered together,
അവർ ഉടൻതന്നെ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ജെറുശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി. “ഇതു സത്യം! കർത്താവ് പുനരുത്ഥാനംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടന്നു ശിമോനു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി,” എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടിയിരുന്ന് പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന പതിനൊന്ന് അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരെയും ശേഷം ശിഷ്യരെയും കണ്ടു.
34 and those who were with them who said, The Lord really was raised, and was seen by Simon.
35 And they reported the things on the road, and how he was made known to them during the breaking of the bread.
തങ്ങളുടെ യാത്രയിൽ സംഭവിച്ചതും യേശു അപ്പം നുറുക്കുമ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തങ്ങൾ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞതും അവർ വിവരിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.
36 And as they spoke these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and says to them, Peace to you.
അവർ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവരുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്നുകൊണ്ട്, “നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമാധാനം” എന്ന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
37 But having been startled, and having become frightened, they presumed to see a spirit.
അവർ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു നടുങ്ങി; തങ്ങൾ ഒരു ഭൂതത്തെയാണു കാണുന്നതെന്ന് അവർ കരുതി.
38 And he said to them, Why are ye troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
അപ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു, “നിങ്ങൾ ഭയന്നുവിറയ്ക്കുന്നതെന്തിന്? നിങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സിൽ സംശയങ്ങൾ ഉയരുന്നതെന്തിന്?
39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Handle me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as ye see me having.
എന്റെ കൈകളും കാലുകളും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുനോക്കുക. ഇത് ഞാൻതന്നെ! എന്നെ സ്പർശിച്ചു നോക്കുക. എനിക്കുള്ളതായി നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നതുപോലെ ഭൂതത്തിനു മാംസവും അസ്ഥികളും ഇല്ലല്ലോ.”
40 And having said this, he displayed to them his hands and feet.
ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് യേശു തന്റെ കൈകളും കാലുകളും അവർക്കു കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.
41 And while they still disbelieved from joy and wondering, he said to them, Have ye anything to eat here?
ആനന്ദാധിക്യം നിമിത്തം തങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നത് യാഥാർഥ്യമാണോ എന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കാനാകാതെ സ്തബ്ധരായി നിൽക്കുന്ന അവരോട് അദ്ദേഹം, “ഇവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെപക്കൽ ഭക്ഷിക്കാൻ എന്തെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടോ?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish and from a bees honeycomb.
അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഒരു കഷണം വറുത്ത മീൻ കൊടുത്തു.
43 And having taken it, he ate before them.
അദ്ദേഹം അതെടുത്ത് അവരുടെമുമ്പിൽവെച്ചുതന്നെ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു.
44 And he said to them, These are the words that I spoke to you while still being with you, that it is necessary for all things that are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms about me to be fulfilled.
പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു, “ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ മോശയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലും പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളിലും സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങളിലും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം പൂർത്തീകരിക്കപ്പെടണമെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത് ഇക്കാര്യങ്ങളൊക്കെയായിരുന്നു.”
45 Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures.
പിന്നെ, തിരുവെഴുത്തുകൾ ഗ്രഹിക്കാൻ സാധ്യമാകുംവിധം അദ്ദേഹം അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിമണ്ഡലത്തെ തുറന്നു.
46 And he said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day,
അദ്ദേഹം അവരോട് തുടർന്നു പറഞ്ഞത്, “ഇങ്ങനെയാണ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്: ക്രിസ്തു യാതനകൾ സഹിച്ച് മരിക്കുകയും മൂന്നാംദിവസം ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കുകയും
47 and to proclaim in his name repentance and remission of sins for all the nations, having begun from Jerusalem.
ജെറുശലേമിൽ ആരംഭിച്ച് സകലജനതകളോടും അവിടത്തെ നാമത്തിൽ മാനസാന്തരവും പാപമോചനവും പ്രസംഗിക്കപ്പെടുകയും വേണം.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
ഈ കാര്യങ്ങൾക്കു നിങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.
49 And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you. But stay ye in the city until ye are clothed with power from on high.
എന്റെ പിതാവുചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദാനം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ അയയ്ക്കും. എന്നാൽ, ഉന്നതത്തിൽനിന്ന് ശക്തി നിങ്ങൾ ധരിക്കുംവരെ നഗരത്തിൽത്തന്നെ താമസിക്കുക.”
50 And he led them outside as far as to Bethany, and having lifted up his hands, he blessed them.
ഇതിനുശേഷം അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ ബെഥാന്യവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി. കൈകൾ ഉയർത്തി അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
51 And it came to pass while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was brought up into heaven.
ഇങ്ങനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെത്തന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ വിട്ട് സ്വർഗത്തിലേക്ക് എടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
52 And having worshiping him, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആരാധിച്ചു; അത്യാനന്ദത്തോടെ ജെറുശലേമിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
53 and they were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Truly.
അവർ ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അവരുടെ സമയമെല്ലാം ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെലവഴിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
