Luke 24
1 And on the first day of the week, very early morning, they came to the sepulcher bringing the spices that they prepared, and some women with them.
週の初めの日の明け方早く、女たちは、準備しておいた香料を持って墓に着いた。
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher.
見ると、石が墓からわきにころがしてあった。
3 And having entered in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
はいって見ると、主イエスのからだはなかった。
4 And it came to pass while they were bewildered about this, that behold, two men stood near them in shining apparel.
そのため女たちが途方にくれていると、見よ、まばゆいばかりの衣を着たふたりの人が、女たちの近くに来た。
5 And since they became frightened and bowing down their face to the ground, they said to them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
恐ろしくなって、地面に顔を伏せていると、その人たちはこう言った。「あなたがたは、なぜ生きている方を死人の中で捜すのですか。
6 He is not here, but was raised. Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee,
ここにはおられません。よみがえられたのです。まだガリラヤにおられたころ、お話しになったことを思い出しなさい。
7 saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day to rise.
人の子は必ず罪人らの手に引き渡され、十字架につけられ、三日目によみがえらなければならない、と言われたでしょう。」
8 And they remembered his sayings.
女たちはイエスのみことばを思い出した。
9 And having returned from the sepulcher, they reported all these things to the eleven, and to all the others.
そして、墓から戻って、十一弟子とそのほかの人たち全部に、一部始終を報告した。
10 Now they were Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles.
この女たちは、マグダラのマリヤとヨハンナとヤコブの母マリヤとであった。彼女たちといっしょにいたほかの女たちも、このことを使徒たちに話した。
11 And their sayings appeared before them as idle talk, and they disbelieved them.
ところが使徒たちにはこの話はたわごとと思われたので、彼らは女たちを信用しなかった。
12 But having risen, Peter ran to the sepulcher. And having stooped down, he sees the linen cloths laying alone. And he departed, wondering to himself at that which happened.
［しかしペテロは、立ち上がると走って墓へ行き、かがんでのぞき込んだところ、亜麻布だけがあった。それで、この出来事に驚いて家に帰った。］
13 And behold, two of them were going the same day to a village that was sixty furlongs away from Jerusalem, which name was Emmaus.
ちょうどこの日、ふたりの弟子が、エルサレムから十一キロメートル余り離れたエマオという村に行く途中であった。
14 And they conversed with each other about all these things that happened.
そして、ふたりでこのいっさいの出来事について話し合っていた。
15 And it came to pass, while they conversed and discussed, that Jesus himself also having approached, went along with them.
話し合ったり、論じ合ったりしているうちに、イエスご自身が近づいて、彼らとともに道を歩いておられた。
16 But their eyes were held, not to recognize him.
しかしふたりの目はさえぎられていて、イエスだとはわからなかった。
17 And he said to them, What are these words that ye toss back to each other, while walking and are looking sad.
イエスは彼らに言われた。「歩きながらふたりで話し合っているその話は、何のことですか。」すると、ふたりは暗い顔つきになって、立ち止まった。
18 And one, whose name was Cleopas, having answered, said to him, Thou only visit Jerusalem and do not know the things that happened in it during these days?
クレオパというほうが答えて言った。「エルサレムにいながら、近ごろそこで起こった事を、あなただけが知らなかったのですか。」
19 And he said to them, What? And they said to him, The things about Jesus the Nazarene, who became a prophet, a mighty man in work and word before God and all the people,
イエスが、「どんな事ですか。」と聞かれると、ふたりは答えた。「ナザレ人イエスのことです。この方は、神とすべての民の前で、行ないにもことばにも力のある預言者でした。
20 and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up for condemnation of death, and crucified him.
それなのに、私たちの祭司長や指導者たちは、この方を引き渡して、死刑に定め、十字架につけたのです。
21 But we hoped that he is the man who is going to redeem Israel. But even with all these things, it brings this third day today from which time these things happened.
しかし私たちは、この方こそイスラエルを贖ってくださるはずだ、と望みをかけていました。事実、そればかりでなく、その事があってから三日目になりますが、
22 But also some of our women astonished us, having come to be at the sepulcher early morning.
また仲間の女たちが私たちを驚かせました。その女たちは朝早く墓に行ってみましたが、
23 And not having found his body, they came, saying also to have seen a vision of agents who say he is alive.
イエスのからだが見当たらないので、戻って来ました。そして御使いたちの幻を見たが、御使いたちがイエスは生きておられると告げた、と言うのです。
24 And some of those with us went to the sepulcher, and found it this way, just as also the women said, but they did not see him.
それで、仲間の何人かが墓に行ってみたのですが、はたして女たちの言ったとおりで、イエスさまは見当たらなかった、というのです。」
25 And he said to them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets spoke.
するとイエスは言われた。「ああ、愚かな人たち。預言者たちの言ったすべてを信じない、心の鈍い人たち。
26 Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
キリストは、必ず、そのような苦しみを受けて、それから、彼の栄光にはいるはずではなかったのですか。」
27 And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things about himself.
それから、イエスは、モーセおよびすべての預言者から始めて、聖書全体の中で、ご自分について書いてある事がらを彼らに説き明かされた。
28 And they came near to the village where they were going, and he pretended to go further.
彼らは目的の村に近づいたが、イエスはまだ先へ行きそうなご様子であった。
29 And they constrained him, saying, Remain with us, because it is toward evening, and the day has declined. And he went in to remain with them.
それで、彼らが、「いっしょにお泊まりください。そろそろ夕刻になりますし、日もおおかた傾きましたから。」と言って無理に願ったので、イエスは彼らといっしょに泊まるために中にはいられた。
30 And it came to pass during his dining with them, that, having taken the bread, he blessed, and having broken in pieces he gave to them.
彼らとともに食卓に着かれると、イエスはパンを取って祝福し、裂いて彼らに渡された。
31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he became invisible from them.
それで、彼らの目が開かれ、イエスだとわかった。するとイエスは、彼らには見えなくなった。
32 And they said to each other, Was not our heart burning within us while he spoke to us on the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?
そこでふたりは話し合った。「道々お話しになっている間も、聖書を説明してくださった間も、私たちの心はうちに燃えていたではないか。」
33 And having risen up the same hour, they returned to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven gathered together,
すぐさまふたりは立って、エルサレムに戻ってみると、十一使徒とその仲間が集まって、
34 and those who were with them who said, The Lord really was raised, and was seen by Simon.
「ほんとうに主はよみがえって、シモンにお姿を現わされた。」と言っていた。
35 And they reported the things on the road, and how he was made known to them during the breaking of the bread.
彼らも、道であったいろいろなことや、パンを裂かれたときにイエスだとわかった次第を話した。
36 And as they spoke these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and says to them, Peace to you.
これらのことを話している間に、イエスご自身が彼らの真中に立たれた。
37 But having been startled, and having become frightened, they presumed to see a spirit.
彼らは驚き恐れて、霊を見ているのだと思った。
38 And he said to them, Why are ye troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
すると、イエスは言われた。「なぜ取り乱しているのですか。どうして心に疑いを起こすのですか。
39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Handle me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as ye see me having.
わたしの手やわたしの足を見なさい。まさしくわたしです。わたしにさわって、よく見なさい。霊ならこんな肉や骨はありません。わたしは持っています。」
40 And having said this, he displayed to them his hands and feet.
それでも、彼らは、うれしさのあまりまだ信じられず、不思議がっているので、イエスは、「ここに何か食べ物がありますか。」と言われた。
41 And while they still disbelieved from joy and wondering, he said to them, Have ye anything to eat here?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish and from a bees honeycomb.
それで、焼いた魚を一切れ差し上げると、
43 And having taken it, he ate before them.
イエスは、彼らの前で、それを取って召し上がった。
44 And he said to them, These are the words that I spoke to you while still being with you, that it is necessary for all things that are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms about me to be fulfilled.
さて、そこでイエスは言われた。「わたしがまだあなたがたといっしょにいたころ、あなたがたに話したことばはこうです。わたしについてモーセの律法と預言者と詩篇とに書いてあることは、必ず全部成就するということでした。」
45 Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures.
そこで、イエスは、聖書を悟らせるために彼らの心を開いて、
46 And he said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day,
こう言われた。「次のように書いてあります。キリストは苦しみを受け、三日目に死人の中からよみがえり、
47 and to proclaim in his name repentance and remission of sins for all the nations, having begun from Jerusalem.
その名によって、罪の赦しを得させる悔い改めが、エルサレムから始まってあらゆる国の人々に宣べ伝えられる。
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
あなたがたは、これらのことの証人です。
49 And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you. But stay ye in the city until ye are clothed with power from on high.
さあ、わたしは、わたしの父の約束してくださったものをあなたがたに送ります。あなたがたは、いと高き所から力を着せられるまでは、都にとどまっていなさい。」
50 And he led them outside as far as to Bethany, and having lifted up his hands, he blessed them.
それから、イエスは、彼らをベタニヤまで連れて行き、手を上げて祝福された。
51 And it came to pass while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was brought up into heaven.
そして祝福しながら、彼らから離れて行かれた。
52 And having worshiping him, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
彼らは、非常な喜びを抱いてエルサレムに帰り、
53 and they were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Truly.
いつも宮にいて神をほめたたえていた。
