Luke 24
1 And on the first day of the week, very early morning, they came to the sepulcher bringing the spices that they prepared, and some women with them.
E NEL primo [giorno] della settimana, la mattina molto per tempo, esse, e certe [altre] con loro, vennero al monumento, portando gli aromati che aveano preparati.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher.
E trovarono la pietra rotolata dal monumento.
3 And having entered in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
Ed entrate dentro, non trovarono il corpo del Signore Gesù.
4 And it came to pass while they were bewildered about this, that behold, two men stood near them in shining apparel.
E mentre stavano perplesse di ciò, ecco, due uomini sopraggiunsero loro, in vestimenti folgoranti.
5 And since they became frightened and bowing down their face to the ground, they said to them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
I quali, essendo esse impaurite, e chinando la faccia a terra, disser loro: Perchè cercate il vivente tra i morti?
6 He is not here, but was raised. Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee,
Egli non è qui, ma è risuscitato; ricordatevi come egli vi parlò, mentre era ancora in Galilea;
7 saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day to rise.
dicendo che conveniva che il Figliuol dell'uomo fosse dato nelle mani degli uomini peccatori, e fosse crocifisso, ed al terzo giorno risuscitasse.
8 And they remembered his sayings.
Ed esse si ricordarono delle parole di esso.
9 And having returned from the sepulcher, they reported all these things to the eleven, and to all the others.
Ed essendosene tornate dal monumento, rapportarono tutte queste cose agli undici, ed a tutti gli altri.
10 Now they were Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles.
Or quelle che dissero queste cose agli apostoli erano Maria Maddalena, e Giovanna, e Maria, [madre] di Giacomo; e le altre [ch'eran] con loro.
11 And their sayings appeared before them as idle talk, and they disbelieved them.
Ma le lor parole parvero loro un vaneggiare, e non credettero loro.
12 But having risen, Peter ran to the sepulcher. And having stooped down, he sees the linen cloths laying alone. And he departed, wondering to himself at that which happened.
Ma pur Pietro, levatosi, corse al monumento; ed avendo guardato dentro, non vide altro che le lenzuola, che giacevano [quivi]; e se ne andò, maravigliandosi tra sè stesso di ciò ch'era avvenuto.
13 And behold, two of them were going the same day to a village that was sixty furlongs away from Jerusalem, which name was Emmaus.
OR ecco, due di loro in quello stesso giorno andavano in un castello, il cui nome [era] Emmaus, distante da Gerusalemme sessanta stadi.
14 And they conversed with each other about all these things that happened.
Ed essi ragionavan fra loro di tutte queste cose, ch'erano avvenute.
15 And it came to pass, while they conversed and discussed, that Jesus himself also having approached, went along with them.
Ed avvenne che mentre ragionavano e discorrevano insieme, Gesù si accostò, e si mise a camminar con loro.
16 But their eyes were held, not to recognize him.
Or gli occhi loro erano ritenuti, per non conoscerlo.
17 And he said to them, What are these words that ye toss back to each other, while walking and are looking sad.
Ed egli disse loro: Quali [son] questi ragionamenti, che voi tenete tra voi, camminando? e perchè siete mesti?
18 And one, whose name was Cleopas, having answered, said to him, Thou only visit Jerusalem and do not know the things that happened in it during these days?
E l'uno, il cui nome [era] Cleopa, rispondendo, gli disse: Tu solo, dimorando in Gerusalemme, non sai le cose che in essa sono avvenute in questi giorni?
19 And he said to them, What? And they said to him, The things about Jesus the Nazarene, who became a prophet, a mighty man in work and word before God and all the people,
Ed egli disse loro: Quali? Ed essi gli dissero: Il fatto di Gesù Nazareno, il quale era un uomo profeta, potente in opere, e in parole, davanti a Dio, e davanti a tutto il popolo.
20 and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up for condemnation of death, and crucified him.
E come i principali sacerdoti, ed i nostri magistrati l'hanno dato ad esser giudicato a morte, e l'hanno crocifisso.
21 But we hoped that he is the man who is going to redeem Israel. But even with all these things, it brings this third day today from which time these things happened.
Or noi speravamo ch'egli fosse colui che avesse a riscattare Israele; ma ancora, oltre a tutto ciò, benchè sieno tre giorni che queste cose sono avvenute,
22 But also some of our women astonished us, having come to be at the sepulcher early morning.
certe donne d'infra noi ci hanno fatti stupire; perciocchè, essendo andate la mattina a buon'ora al monumento,
23 And not having found his body, they came, saying also to have seen a vision of agents who say he is alive.
e non avendo trovato il corpo d'esso, son venute, dicendo d'aver veduta una visione d'angeli, i quali dicono ch'egli vive.
24 And some of those with us went to the sepulcher, and found it this way, just as also the women said, but they did not see him.
Ed alcuni de' nostri sono andati al monumento, ed hanno trovato così, come le donne avean detto; ma non han veduto Gesù.
25 And he said to them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets spoke.
Allora egli disse loro: O insensati, e tardi di cuore a credere a tutte le cose che i profeti hanno dette!
26 Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
Non conveniva egli che il Cristo sofferisse queste cose, e [così] entrasse nella sua gloria?
27 And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things about himself.
E cominciando da Mosè, e [seguendo] per tutti i profeti, dichiarò loro in tutte le scritture le cose [ch'erano] di lui.
28 And they came near to the village where they were going, and he pretended to go further.
Ed essendo giunti al castello, ove andavano, egli fece vista d'andar più lungi.
29 And they constrained him, saying, Remain with us, because it is toward evening, and the day has declined. And he went in to remain with them.
Ma essi gli fecer forza, dicendo: Rimani con noi, perciocchè ei si fa sera, e il giorno è già dichinato. Egli adunque entrò [nell'albergo], per rimaner con loro.
30 And it came to pass during his dining with them, that, having taken the bread, he blessed, and having broken in pieces he gave to them.
E quando egli si fu messo a tavola con loro, prese il pane, e fece la benedizione; e rotto[lo, lo] distribuì loro.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he became invisible from them.
E gli occhi loro furono aperti, e lo riconobbero; ma egli sparì da loro.
32 And they said to each other, Was not our heart burning within us while he spoke to us on the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?
Ed essi dissero l'uno all'altro: Non ardeva il cuor nostro in noi, mentre egli ci parlava per la via, e ci apriva le scritture?
33 And having risen up the same hour, they returned to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven gathered together,
E in quella stessa ora si levarono, e ritornarono in Gerusalemme, e trovarono raunati gli undici, e quelli [ch'erano] con loro.
34 and those who were with them who said, The Lord really was raised, and was seen by Simon.
I quali dicevano: Il Signore è veramente risuscitato, ed è apparito a Simone.
35 And they reported the things on the road, and how he was made known to them during the breaking of the bread.
Ed essi ancora raccontarono le cose [avvenute loro] per la via, e come egli era stato riconosciuto da loro nel rompere il pane.
36 And as they spoke these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and says to them, Peace to you.
ORA, mentre essi ragionavano queste cose, Gesù stesso comparve nel mezzo di loro, e disse loro: Pace a voi.
37 But having been startled, and having become frightened, they presumed to see a spirit.
Ma essi, smarriti, ed impauriti, pensavano vedere uno spirito.
38 And he said to them, Why are ye troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
Ed egli disse loro: Perchè siete turbati? e perchè salgono ragionamenti ne' cuori vostri?
39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Handle me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as ye see me having.
Vedete le mie mani, e i miei piedi; perciocchè io son desso; palpatemi, e vedete; poichè uno spirito non ha carne, nè ossa, come mi vedete avere.
40 And having said this, he displayed to them his hands and feet.
E detto questo, mostrò loro le mani, e i piedi.
41 And while they still disbelieved from joy and wondering, he said to them, Have ye anything to eat here?
Ma, non credendo essi ancora per l'allegrezza, e maravigliandosi, egli disse loro: Avete voi qui alcuna cosa da mangiare?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish and from a bees honeycomb.
Ed essi gli diedero un pezzo di pesce arrostito, e di un fiale di miele.
43 And having taken it, he ate before them.
Ed egli presolo, mangiò in lor presenza.
44 And he said to them, These are the words that I spoke to you while still being with you, that it is necessary for all things that are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms about me to be fulfilled.
Poi disse loro: Questi sono i ragionamenti che io vi teneva, essendo ancora con voi: che conveniva che tutte le cose scritte di me nella legge di Mosè, e ne' profeti, e ne' salmi, fossero adempiute.
45 Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures.
Allora egli aperse loro la mente, per intendere le scritture.
46 And he said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day,
E disse loro: Così è scritto, e così conveniva che il Cristo sofferisse, ed al terzo giorno risuscitasse da' morti;
47 and to proclaim in his name repentance and remission of sins for all the nations, having begun from Jerusalem.
e che nel suo nome si predicasse ravvedimento, e remission dei peccati, fra tutte le genti, cominciando da Gerusalemme.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
Or voi siete testimoni di queste cose.
49 And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you. But stay ye in the city until ye are clothed with power from on high.
Ed ecco, io mando sopra voi la promessa del Padre mio; or voi, dimorate nella città di Gerusalemme, finchè siate rivestiti della virtù da alto.
50 And he led them outside as far as to Bethany, and having lifted up his hands, he blessed them.
POI li menò fuori fino in Betania; e, levate le mani in alto, li benedisse.
51 And it came to pass while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was brought up into heaven.
Ed avvenne che mentre egli li benediceva, si dipartì da loro, ed era portato in su nel cielo.
52 And having worshiping him, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
Ed essi, adoratolo, ritornarono in Gerusalemme con grande allegrezza.
53 and they were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Truly.
Ed erano del continuo nel tempio, lodando, e benedicendo Iddio. Amen.
