Luke 24
1 And on the first day of the week, very early morning, they came to the sepulcher bringing the spices that they prepared, and some women with them.
Am ersten Tage der Woche gingen sie sodann in aller Frühe zum Grabe hinaus und nahmen die Spezereien mit, die sie sich zubereitet hatten.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher.
Da fanden sie den Stein vom Grabe weggewälzt;
3 And having entered in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
sie gingen hinein, doch fanden sie den Leichnam des Herrn Jesus nicht.
4 And it came to pass while they were bewildered about this, that behold, two men stood near them in shining apparel.
Sie waren darüber tief bestürzt. Und plötzlich standen vor ihnen zwei Männer in glänzend weißen Kleidern.
5 And since they became frightened and bowing down their face to the ground, they said to them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
Und sie erschraken und senkten ihre Blicke zu Boden. Diese aber fragten sie: "Was sucht ihr den Lebendigen bei den Toten?
6 He is not here, but was raised. Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee,
Er ist nicht hier; er ist auferstanden. Erinnert euch doch, wie er zu euch gesagt hat, als er in Galiläa war:
7 saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day to rise.
'Der Menschensohn', sagte er, 'muß in die Hände sündiger Menschen ausgeliefert und gekreuzigt werden, am dritten Tage aber auferstehen.'"
8 And they remembered his sayings.
Da erinnerten sie sich an seine Worte,
9 And having returned from the sepulcher, they reported all these things to the eleven, and to all the others.
kehrten vom Grabe zurück und sagten all das den Elfen und allen anderen.
10 Now they were Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles.
Es waren Maria Magdalena und Johanna, Maria, des Jakobus Mutter, und noch andere, die bei ihnen waren; diese brachten den Aposteln diese Nachricht.
11 And their sayings appeared before them as idle talk, and they disbelieved them.
Doch wie ein leeres Gerede kam ihnen diese Kunde vor; sie glaubten ihnen nicht.
12 But having risen, Peter ran to the sepulcher. And having stooped down, he sees the linen cloths laying alone. And he departed, wondering to himself at that which happened.
Darauf erhob sich Petrus, um zum Grabe zu eilen. Als er sich vorneigte, sah er nur die Linnentücher. Voll Staunen über das, was vorgefallen war, ging er nach Hause.
13 And behold, two of them were going the same day to a village that was sixty furlongs away from Jerusalem, which name was Emmaus.
Und siehe, am selben Tage wanderten zwei von ihnen in einen Flecken namens Emmaus. Er liegt etwa sechzig Stadien von Jerusalem entfernt.
14 And they conversed with each other about all these things that happened.
Sie unterhielten sich miteinander über alles, was sich zugetragen hatte.
15 And it came to pass, while they conversed and discussed, that Jesus himself also having approached, went along with them.
Während sie sich so miteinander unterhielten und besprachen, da nahte sich Jesus und ging mit ihnen.
16 But their eyes were held, not to recognize him.
Doch ihre Augen waren gebannt, daß sie ihn nicht erkannten.
17 And he said to them, What are these words that ye toss back to each other, while walking and are looking sad.
Er fragte sie: "Was sind das für Reden, die ihr auf dem Weg miteinander führet?" Da hielten sie traurig inne.
18 And one, whose name was Cleopas, having answered, said to him, Thou only visit Jerusalem and do not know the things that happened in it during these days?
Der eine namens Kleophas gab ihm zur Antwort: "Bist du allein in Jerusalem so fremd, daß du nicht weißt, was dort in diesen Tagen geschehen ist?"
19 And he said to them, What? And they said to him, The things about Jesus the Nazarene, who became a prophet, a mighty man in work and word before God and all the people,
Er fragte sie: "Was denn?" Sie sagten zu ihm: "Das mit Jesus von Nazareth. Er war ein Prophet, mächtig in Tat und Wort vor Gott und vor dem ganzen Volke.
20 and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up for condemnation of death, and crucified him.
Unsere Oberpriester und der Hohe Rat haben ihn der Todesstrafe überliefert und gekreuzigt.
21 But we hoped that he is the man who is going to redeem Israel. But even with all these things, it brings this third day today from which time these things happened.
Wir aber hatten gehofft, daß er es sei, der Israel erlösen werde. Und heute ist schon der dritte Tag, seitdem dies geschehen ist.
22 But also some of our women astonished us, having come to be at the sepulcher early morning.
Zwar haben einige von unseren Frauen uns verwirrt. Sie waren schon sehr früh zum Grabe hinausgegangen,
23 And not having found his body, they came, saying also to have seen a vision of agents who say he is alive.
doch fanden sie den Leichnam nicht; sie kamen vielmehr und erzählten, es seien ihnen Engel erschienen, die versichert hätten, daß er lebe.
24 And some of those with us went to the sepulcher, and found it this way, just as also the women said, but they did not see him.
Da gingen einige der Unsrigen ans Grab und fanden es so, wie die Frauen gesagt hatten. Ihn selber aber sahen sie nicht."
25 And he said to them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets spoke.
Darauf sprach er zu ihnen: "Ihr Unverständigen, wie seid ihr doch so schwerfällig, um an das zu glauben, was die Propheten gesagt haben!
26 Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
Mußte denn nicht der Christus solches erleiden und so in seine Herrlichkeit eingehen?"
27 And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things about himself.
Dann fing er mit Moses an und mit all den Propheten und erklärte ihnen, was in allen Schriften von ihm geschrieben steht.
28 And they came near to the village where they were going, and he pretended to go further.
So kamen sie nahe an das Dorf, wohin sie gehen wollten. Er tat, als ob er weitergehen wollte.
29 And they constrained him, saying, Remain with us, because it is toward evening, and the day has declined. And he went in to remain with them.
Jedoch sie nötigten ihn mit den Worten: "Bleibe bei uns; es wird Abend; der Tag hat sich schon geneigt." Er kehrte ein und blieb bei ihnen.
30 And it came to pass during his dining with them, that, having taken the bread, he blessed, and having broken in pieces he gave to them.
Und wie er mit ihnen am Tische saß, nahm er Brot, segnete, brach es und gab es ihnen.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he became invisible from them.
Da wurden ihre Augen aufgetan, und sie erkannten ihn. Doch da entschwand er ihnen.
32 And they said to each other, Was not our heart burning within us while he spoke to us on the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?
Sie sagten zueinander: "Brannte nicht das Herz in uns, wie er unterwegs mit uns redete und uns die Schrift erschloß?"
33 And having risen up the same hour, they returned to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven gathered together,
Noch in derselben Stunde machten sie sich auf den Weg und kehrten nach Jerusalem zurück; sie trafen die Elf und die anderen Gefährten beieinander.
34 and those who were with them who said, The Lord really was raised, and was seen by Simon.
Diese sagten: "Der Herr ist wahrhaft auferstanden und dem Simon erschienen."
35 And they reported the things on the road, and how he was made known to them during the breaking of the bread.
Nun erzählten auch sie, was sich auf dem Wege zugetragen und wie sie ihn am Brotbrechen erkannt hätten.
36 And as they spoke these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and says to them, Peace to you.
Während sie noch davon erzählten, stand Jesus mitten unter ihnen. Er sprach zu ihnen: "Friede sei mit euch!" Ich bin es, fürchtet euch nicht.
37 But having been startled, and having become frightened, they presumed to see a spirit.
Vor Angst und Schrecken glaubten sie, ein Gespenst zu sehen.
38 And he said to them, Why are ye troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
Er aber sprach zu ihnen: "Weshalb seid ihr erschrocken und steigen Zweifel euch im Herzen auf?
39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Handle me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as ye see me having.
Seht meine Hände und meine Füße, daß ich es bin. Betastet mich und überzeugt euch: Ein Gespenst hat doch nicht Fleisch und Bein, wie ihr an mir es sehet."
40 And having said this, he displayed to them his hands and feet.
Nach diesen Worten zeigte er ihnen seine Hände und seine Füße.
41 And while they still disbelieved from joy and wondering, he said to them, Have ye anything to eat here?
Allein, vor Freude und Staunen konnten sie es immer noch nicht glauben. So fragte er sie dann: "Habt ihr etwas zum Essen da?"
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish and from a bees honeycomb.
Sie reichten ihm ein Stück gebratenen Fisches und eine Honigwabe.
43 And having taken it, he ate before them.
Er nahm es und aß vor ihren Augen. Als er vor ihnen gegessen hatte, verteilte er die Überreste unter sie.
44 And he said to them, These are the words that I spoke to you while still being with you, that it is necessary for all things that are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms about me to be fulfilled.
Alsdann sprach er zu ihnen: "Das waren meine Worte, die ich zu euch geredet habe, als ich noch bei euch war: Alles muß sich erfüllen, was im Gesetz des Moses, bei den Propheten und in den Psalmen über mich geschrieben steht."
45 Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures.
Darauf erschloß er ihren Sinn, damit sie die Schriften verstanden,
46 And he said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day,
und fuhr fort: "So steht geschrieben, und so mußte Christus leiden und am dritten Tage von den Toten auferstehen.
47 and to proclaim in his name repentance and remission of sins for all the nations, having begun from Jerusalem.
In seinem Namen soll nun allen Völkern Buße und Vergebung der Sünden verkündet werden. Beginnet mit Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
Ihr seid von alledem ja Zeugen.
49 And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you. But stay ye in the city until ye are clothed with power from on high.
Seht, ich sende den auf euch herab, den mein Vater verheißen hat. Bleibt in der Stadt, bis ihr mit Kraft von oben umkleidet seid."
50 And he led them outside as far as to Bethany, and having lifted up his hands, he blessed them.
Er führte sie sodann bis nach Bethanien hinaus und erhob segnend seine Hände.
51 And it came to pass while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was brought up into heaven.
Und segnend schied er von ihnen und fuhr zum Himmel auf.
52 And having worshiping him, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
Sie fielen vor ihm nieder und kehrten dann mit großer Freude nach Jerusalem zurück.
53 and they were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Truly.
Beständig weilten sie im Tempel, lobten Gott und priesen ihn.
