Ephesians 3
1 For this reason I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles,
Es por esto que yo, Pablo, prisionero de Jesucristo por causa de ustedes los extranjeros,
2 since indeed ye heard of the administration of the grace of God, which was given to me for you,
(pues, asumo que ustedes han oído que Dios me dio la responsabilidad específica de compartir la gracia de Dios con ustedes),
3 that according to revelation he made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief.
por lo que Dios me mostró, aclaró el misterio que estaba oculto anteriormente. Yo les escribí brevemente sobre esto,
4 With which reading ye can recognize my understanding in the mystery of the Christ,
y cuando lean esto podrán entender mi opinión sobre el misterio de Cristo.
5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by Spirit to his holy apostles and prophets.
En las generaciones pasadas esto no se le había explicado a nadie, pero ahora ha sido revelado a los santos apóstoles de Dios y a los profetas por medio del Espíritu,
6 For Gentiles to be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and fellow partakers of his promise in the Christ through the good news.
que los extranjeros son herederos también, parte del mismo cuerpo, y en Cristo Jesús comparten en la promesa por medio de la buena noticia.
7 Of which I became a helper according to the gift of that grace of God, which was given to me according to the working of his power.
Me convertí en ministro de esta buena noticia por medio del regalo de la gracia de Dios que se me dio por su poder que obraba en mí.
8 To me, a man less than the least of all the sanctified, this grace was given to preach good news among the Gentiles, the unsearchable wealth of Christ,
Esta gracia me fue dada a mí, al menos importante de todos los cristianos, con el fin de compartir con los extranjeros el increíble valor de Cristo,
9 and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery hidden from the ages in God who created all things through Jesus Christ. (aiōn g165)
y para ayudar a todos a ver el propósito del misterio que desde el mismo principio estaba oculto en Dios, quien hizo todas las cosas. (aiōn g165)
10 So that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to the principal offices and the positions of authority in the heavenly things, through the church,
El plan de Dios fue que los distintos aspectos de su sabiduría fueran revelados por medio de la iglesia a los gobernantes y autoridades en el cielo.
Esto fue conforme al propósito eterno de Dios que llevó a cabo en Cristo Jesús nuestro Señor. (aiōn g165)
12 in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through his faith.
Por él y nuestra fe en él podemos acercarnos a Dios con total confianza y libertad.
13 Therefore I ask that ye not become discouraged at my tribulations on your behalf, which is your glory.
Por eso les pido que no se desanimen por mi sufrimiento, ¡es por ustedes y deberían apreciarlo!
14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Por eso me arrodillo ante el Padre
15 from whom every patriarchy in heavens and on earth is named.
de quien todas las familias del cielo y de la tierra reciben su naturaleza y carácter,
16 So that he would grant you, according to the wealth of his glory, to be strengthened with power through his Spirit for the inner man,
le ruego que, de sus riquezas de gloria, los fortalezca con poder en lo más íntimo de su ser por medio de su Espíritu.
17 for the Christ to dwell in your hearts through faith,
Que Cristo viva en sus corazones a medida que confían en él, a fin de que sembrados profundamente en amor
18 having been rooted and grounded in love, so that ye may be able to grasp with all the sanctified what is the breadth and length and depth and height,
adquieran el poder para comprender, junto a todo el pueblo de Dios, la amplitud, la longitud, la altura y la profundidad del amor de Cristo.
19 and to become aware of the love of the Christ, which transcends knowledge, so that ye may be filled in all the fullness of God.
Que conozcan el amor de Cristo que sobrepasa todo conocimiento, para que puedan ser llenos y alcancen la plenitud que proviene de Dios.
20 Now to him who is able to do above extraordinary-above all things that we ask or think-according to the power that works in us,
Que por su poder que obra dentro de nosotros, Aquél que es poderoso para hacer más de lo que le pedimos o siquiera alcanzamos a pensar,
