< Luka 5 >

1 Chiengʼ moro achiel, ka Yesu nochungo but nam mar Genesaret, kendo ji kochokore molwore ka giwinjo wach Nyasaye.
Now while the multitude pressed on him and heard ha D'var Elohim · the Word of God·, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.
2 Noneno yiedhi ariyo e dho wath, mane owe kanyo gi jolupo mane luoko tondegi.
He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 Nodonjo ei achiel kuom yiedhigo, mane mar Simon, mi nokwaye mondo osiane yie matin oa e dho wath. Eka nobedo piny kendo puonjo ji ka enie yie.
He entered into one of the boats, which was Simeon [Hearing]’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 Kane osetieko wuoyo, nowachone Simon niya, “Kiew yie odhi e chuny pi kama tut, mondo uchik tondeu omak rech.”
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simeon [Hearing], “Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 Simon nodwoke niya, “Ruoth, wasetiyo matek otieno duto to ok wasemako gimoro. To nikech iwacho kamano, abiro chiko tonde.”
Simeon [Hearing] answered him, “Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
6 Kane gisetimo kamano, negimako rech mangʼeny makoro tonde ne chako yiech.
When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 Kuom mano, ne gigwelo jowetegi mane ni e yie machielo mondo obi okonygi, to kane gibiro to negipongʼo yiedhi ariyogo ma gichako nimo.
They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
8 Kane Simon Petro oneno mani, nopodho e tiend Yesu, mowacho niya, “Dhiyo ia ira Ruoth, an ngʼat ma jaricho!”
But Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock], when he saw it, fell down at Yeshua [Salvation]'s knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”
9 Nimar en kaachiel gi joma ne en-go duto nowuoro nikech rech mane gimako.
For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;
10 Kamano, Jakobo gi Johana ma yawuot Zebedi mane jotiyo gi Simon bende nowuoro. Eka Yesu nowachone Simon niya, “Kik iluor; chakre tinendeni ibiro bedo jaywa ji.”
and so also were James [Surplanter] and John [Yah is gracious], sons of Zebedee [Bestowed by Yah], who were partners with Simeon [Hearing]. Yeshua [Salvation] said to Simeon [Hearing], “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”
11 Kuom mano negiketo yiedhigi oko e dho wath, negiweyo gik moko duto kendo ne giluwe.
When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.
12 Kane Yesu ne nitie e achiel kuom mier, ngʼat moro ma dhoho omako dende duto nobiro ire, kane oneno Yesu, nopodho piny ka okulore e lowo kendo nosaye niya, “Ruoth, kiyie, to inyalo pwodha.”
While he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of tzara'at ·leprosy·. When he saw Yeshua [Salvation], he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
13 Yesu norieyo bade momulo ngʼatno. Nowachone niya, “Ayie. Pwodhri!” Gikanyono dhoho noa kuome.
He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the tzara'at ·leprosy· left him.
14 Eka Yesu nochike niya, “Kik inyis ngʼato wachni to dhiyo, mondo inyisri ne jadolo kendo ichiw misengini ma Musa nochiko nikech pwodhruokni, mondo obed ranyisi ne gin.”
He commanded him to tell no one. “Instead, as a testimony to the people, go straight to the priest and make an offer for your cleansing, as Moses [Drawn out] commanded.”
15 To kata kamano humbe nomedo landore moloyo, momiyo oganda mag ji nobiro winje kendo mondo ochang tuochegi.
But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 To Yesu ne thoro dhiyo kuonde thim ma enie kende mondo olem.
But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.
17 Chiengʼ moro kane opuonjo, jo-Farisai gi jopuonj chik, mane oa e mier duto mag Galili gi Judea kod Jerusalem, nobedo kanyono, to teko mar Ruoth ne ni kode mondo ochang jotuo.
On one of those days, he was teaching; and there were Pharisees [Separated] and Torah-Teachers sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee [District, Circuit], Judea [Praise], and Jerusalem [City of peace]. The power of MarYah [Master Yahweh] was with him to heal them.
18 Jomoko nobiro kotingʼo ja-athany e par kendo negitemo mondo gitere ei ot mondo gikele e nyim Yesu.
Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Yeshua [Salvation].
19 To kane ok ginyal yudo yo mar timo kamano nikech oganda mane ni kode, negiidho ewi tado kendo powo wi tado, eka negilore gi par e dier oganda e nyim Yesu.
Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the middle before Yeshua [Salvation].
20 Kane Yesu oneno yie ma jogo ne nigo, nowacho niya, “Osiepa, richoni oweni.”
Seeing their trusting faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 Jo-Farisai gi jopuonj Chik nochako paro kendgi giwegi niya, “Mae to en ngʼa ma yanyo Nyasaye? Ere ngʼat manyalo weyone ngʼato richone makmana Nyasaye kende?”
The Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
22 Yesu nongʼeyo gima negiparo kendo nopenjogi niya, “Angʼo momiyo uparo gigi e chunyu?
But Yeshua [Salvation], perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
23 Ere mayot wacho kuom weche ariyogi, ‘Richoni oweni,’ koso wacho ni, ‘Aa malo mondo iwuothi’?
Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’
24 To mondo ungʼe ni Wuod Dhano nigi teko e piny mar weyo richo.” Yesu nowachone ja-athanyno niya, “Awachoni ni aa malo, kaw pieni mondo idhi dala.”
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (he said to the paralyzed man), “I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house.”
25 Gikanyono nochungo ka ji duto nene modhiyo dala kopako Nyasaye.
Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
26 Ji duto nowuoro kendo negichiwo pak ni Nyasaye. Negiwuoro ahinya kendo negiwacho niya, “Waseneno gik malich kawuono.”
Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”
27 Bangʼ mano, Yesu nowuok odhi oko kendo noneno jasol osuru ma nyinge Lawi kobet e od jasol osuru. Yesu nowachone niya, “Luwa.”
After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi [United with] sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”
28 To Lawi noa malo, moweyo gik moko duto kendo noluwe.
He left everything, and rose up and followed him.
29 Eka Lawi noloso nyasi maduongʼ mar rwako Yesu e ode, oganda maduongʼ mar josol osuru kaachiel gi ji mamoko nobiro ne chiemo kodgi.
Levi [United with] made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.
30 To jo-Farisai gi jopuonj chik margi ne ngʼur ni jopuonjrene niya, “Angʼo momiyo uchiemo kendo metho gi josol osuru kod joricho?”
Their Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”
31 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Joma ngima ok ema dwar jathieth makmana joma tuo.
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
32 Ok ne abiro mondo aluong joma kare, to nabiro mondo aluong joricho mondo gilokre giwe richo.”
I have not come to call the upright, but sinners to teshuvah ·complete repentance·.”
33 Negiwachone niya, “Jopuonjre Johana ne thoro tweyo chiemo kendo lamo, to bende jopuonjre mag jo-Farisai timo kamano, to jopuonjreni dhiyo mana nyime gi chiemo kendo metho.”
They said to him, “Why do John [Yah is gracious]’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees [Separated], but yours eat and drink?”
34 To Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Bende inyalo miyo wend wuon kisera otwe chiemo ka pod en kodgi?
He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 To ndalo biro ma wuon kisera nogol e kindgi, e ndalogo ginitwe chiemo.”
But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”
36 Eka nogoyonegi ngero machalo kama: “Onge ngʼama nyalo yiecho dir law manyien mondo obawgo mano moti. Ka otimo kamano, to obiro bedo ni oyiecho law manyien, kendo dir law manyien mobawgo law moti ok bi winjore gi moti.
He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.
37 Bende onge ngʼama olo divai manyien e piende moti mag tingʼo divai. Ka otimo kamano, divai manyien nyalo yiecho piend divaino mi divai pukre kendo piend divai biro kethore.
No one puts new wine into old wine skins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
38 Ooyo, divai manyien nyaka ol mana e piende mag tingʼo divai manyien.
But new wine must be put into fresh wine skins, and both are preserved.
39 To onge ngʼama bangʼ madho divai machon dwaro divai manyien, nimar giwacho ni, ‘Divai machon ber moloyo.’”
No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
