< Isaya 30 >

1 Jehova Nyasaye wacho niya, “Ubiro neno malit, un nyithindo ma wigi tek, un jogo mosieko gi riekni ma ok maga, ka uloso riwruok ka ok owuok e dwond Roho mara, kendo ka ubiwo richo ewi richo;
Woe to the rebellious children, says the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
2 uringo kudhi Misri ka ok upenja, umanyo kony kuom Farao mondo oresu, kendo ugengʼoru e tipo mar Misri kaka karu mar pondo.
That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
3 To gengʼruok mawuok kuom Farao nobednu wichkuot, kendo tipo mar Misri nokelnu masira.
Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
4 Kata obedo ni gin gi jotelo Zoan kendo jootene osechopo Hanes,
For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.
5 to ji duto noyud wichkuot kuom jogo ma ok nyal konyogi, jogo ma ok nyal konyogi kata kelonegi ber to mana wichkuot kod achaya.”
They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.
The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from where come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches on the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures on the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them.
7 ma en Misri, ma kony mare onge tiende. Kuom mano iluonge ni Rahab maonge nyalo.
For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.
8 Dhiyo sani kendo indiknegi wach e kidi mopa, Ndike e kitabu, mondo omi obed janeno, manyaka chiengʼ e ndalo mabiro.
Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
9 Magi gin oganda mongʼanyo nyithindo ma jo-miriambo, ma ok oikore winjo puonj Jehova Nyasaye.
That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:
10 Giwachone jokor wach ni, “Kik une fweny moro amora kendo!” To ne jonabi, “Kik uchak unyiswa fweny moro amora makare!” Kornwauru mana weche mamorowa mag wuondruok.
Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not to us right things, speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
11 Weuru yorni, wuoguru e ndarani kendo we bwogowa gi Jal Maler mar Israel.
Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
12 Kuom mano, ma e wach ma Jal Maler mar Israel wacho: “Nikech isedagi winjo oteni, mi iserwako chuny mar sando ji kendo iseyiengori e timbe mag miganga,
Why thus says the Holy One of Israel, Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
13 richoni nobini kaka ohinga mabor mobarore, matetni kendo ruombore piny matek dichiel.
Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly at an instant.
14 Obiro ngʼinjore matindo tindo mana ka agulu molwar piny motore, ma ok nyal yud kata dire moro kodongʼ minyalo kwanygo mach e dwol kata pate mitwomogo pi.”
And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a shard to take fire from the hearth, or to take water with out of the pit.
15 Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto, Jal Maler mar Israel wacho: “Warruok gi kwe nowuog kuom hulo richo, tekou nowuog kuom horuok kod genou kuoma, to kata onge gima usetimo kuom gigi duto.
For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and you would not.
16 Kata kamano uwacho ni, ‘Ooyo, wabiro idho farese mondo waringi.’ To mano ber ubiro ringo! Bende nuwacho ni, ‘Wabiro idho faresewa mi waringi.’ Kuom mano joma lawou nobed jongʼwech molony.
But you said, No; for we will flee on horses; therefore shall you flee: and, We will ride on the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
17 Jou alufu achiel noringi ka ngʼato achiel obwogogi; bende jou noring duto ka ji abich obwogogi, mi unudongʼ kar kendu, mana ka yiend bandera mochwo ewi got malo kata ka law bandera mafwadhore ewi got.”
One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall you flee: till you be left as a beacon on the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.
18 Kata kamano pod odwaro nyiso ngʼwono mare kuome; obiro mondo onyisu kech mare. Nimar Jehova Nyasaye en Nyasaye ma ja-adiera. Jogo duto mogeno kuome ogwedhi.
And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious to you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy on you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
19 Yaye un oganda mag Sayun, modak Jerusalem, ok unuchak uywag kendo. Mano kaka notimnu ngʼwono e kinde ma unuywagne mondo okonyu! E sa moro amora mowinjo ywaku, to nokonyu.
For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: you shall weep no more: he will be very gracious to you at the voice of your cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer you.
20 Kata Jehova Nyasaye miyou chiemo mar chandruok kod pi mar masira, to jopuonju ok nochak opondnu kendo, to ununegi gi wengeu uwegi.
And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not your teachers be removed into a corner any more, but your eyes shall see your teachers:
21 Kata ka ubaro korachwich kata koracham, itu to nowinj dwol mawuok ka ngʼeu, kawacho niya, “Ma e yo; luweuru.”
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk you in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left.
22 Bangʼe unudwany nyisecheu manono mubawo gi fedha kod dhahabu; kendo unuwitgi ka ukwano gi ka gik ma ok ler, mi uwitgi ka nanga moywego remb nyodo, kuwachonegi niya, “Aiuru ira.”
You shall defile also the covering of your graven images of silver, and the ornament of your molten images of gold: you shall cast them away as a menstruous cloth; you shall say to it, Get you hence.
23 Bende noornu koth kuom kodhi muchwowo e lowo kendo chiemo mawuok e piny nobed mamiyo kendo mangʼeny. E kindeno jambu nokwa e lege madongo.
Then shall he give the rain of your seed, that you shall sow the ground with; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall your cattle feed in large pastures.
24 Rwethu kod pundeu mapuro lowo nocham lumb ogada kod chiembgi moregi, mi keyo gi uma kod opawo.
The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which has been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.
25 E odiechiengʼ maduongʼ mar yengʼo, ka kuonde ngʼicho motingʼore gi malo opodho, oula mag pige nomol ewi gode duto kod pidhe duto motingʼore malo.
And there shall be on every high mountain, and on every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
26 Dwe norieny ka wangʼ chiengʼ, kendo ler mar chiengʼ nobed maler moloyo kaka orieny pile nyadibiriyo, machal mana gi ler mar chiengʼ mar ndalo abiriyo, e kindeno ma Jehova Nyasaye nowir kuonde duto moriemo mag joge kendo nochang adhondegi.
Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the breach of his people, and heals the stroke of their wound.
27 Ne, Nying Jehova Nyasaye aa kuma bor, ka en-gi mirima mager machalo gi iro mopongʼo bor polo; dhoge opongʼ gi mirima mangʼeny, kendo lewe en mach mawengʼo.
Behold, the name of the LORD comes from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:
28 Muche chalo gi oula mopongʼ, mopongʼ nyaka dwonde. Oyiengo ogendini gi rapiedhi mar kethruok; kendo oywayo ji gi chuma mamiyo girwenyo.
And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the middle of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err.
29 Kendo unuwer wende machalo gi wende mag nyasi mag sawo maler miwero gotieno; chunyu nobed gi mor mana ka ji mabedo gi mor ka goyo asili kadhi e got Jehova Nyasaye, ma en Lwanda mar Israel.
You shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.
30 Jehova Nyasaye nomi oganda winj dwonde mar duongʼ kendo enomi gine lwete kabiro piny, gi mirima mager kod mach mawengʼo, bende gi rumbi motwere gi polo mariadore kod pe.
And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall show the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.
31 Dwond Jehova Nyasaye biro mako dho jo-Asuria; to gi odungane obiro negogi.
For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.
32 Chwat ka chwat ma Jehova Nyasaye nochwadgigo gi ludhe mar kum kokedo kodgi malit, nomi jo-Nyasaye bed mamor ka gigoyo oyieke kod nyatiti.
And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay on him, it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it.
33 Tofeth noseiki nyaka aa chon; noseik ne ruoth. Kare mar kendo osekuny matut kendo malach, kodhurie yiende mangʼeny gi mach maduongʼ; kendo much Jehova Nyasaye, machalo mach makakni ema moke.
For Tophet is ordained of old; yes, for the king it is prepared; he has made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, does kindle it.
