Jeremias 7

1 Det Ord som kom til Jeremias fra Herren

The woordes that came to Ieremiah from the Lord, saying,

2 Stå hen i Porten til HERRENs Hus og udråb dette Ord: Hør HERRENs Ord, hele Juda, I, som går ind gennem disse Porte for at tilbede HERREN!

Stand in the gate of the Lordes house and crie this woorde there, and say, Heare the woorde of the Lord, all yee of Iudah that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord.

3 Så siger Hærskarers HERRE, Israels Gud: Bedrer eders Veje og eders Gerninger, så vil jeg lade eder bo på dette Sted.

Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Amend your waies and your woorkes, and I will let you dwell in this place.

4 Stol ikke på den Løgnetale: Her er HERRENs Tempel, HERRENs Tempel, HERRENs Tempel!

Trust not in lying woordes, saying, The Temple of the Lord, the Temple of the Lord: this is the Temple of the Lord.

5 Men bedrer eders Veje og eders Gerninger! Dersom I virkelig øver Ret Mand og Mand imellem,

For if you amende and redresse your waies and your woorkes: if you execute iudgement betweene a man and his neighbour,

6 ikke undertrykker den fremmede, den faderløse og Enken, ej heller udgyder uskyldigt Blod på dette Sted, ej heller til egen Skade holder eder til fremmede Guder,

And oppresse not the stranger, the fatherlesse and the widow and shed no innocent blood in this place, neither walke after other gods to your destruction,

7 så vil jeg til evige Tider lade eder bo på dette Sted i det Land, jeg gav eders Fædre.

Then will I let you dwell in this place in the lande that I gaue vnto your fathers, for euer and euer.

8 Se, I stoler på Løgnetale, som intet båder.

Beholde, you trust in lying woordes, that can not profite.

9 Stjæle, slå ihjel, hore, sværge falsk, tænde Offerild for Ba'al, holde eder til fremmede Guder, som I ikke kender til

Will you steale, murder, and commit adulterie, and sweare falsely and burne incense vnto Baal, and walke after other gods whome yee knowe not?

10 og så kommer I og står for mit Åsyn i dette Hus, som mit Navn nævnes over, og siger: "Vi er frelst!" for at gøre alle disse Vederstyggeligheder.

And come and stande before mee in this House, whereupon my Name is called, and saye, We are deliuered, though we haue done all these abominations?

11 Holder I dette Hus, som mit Navn nævnes over, for en Røverkule? Men se, også jeg har Øjne, lyder det fra HERREN.

Is this House become a denne of theeues, whereupon my Name is called before your eyes? Beholde, euen I see it, sayeth the Lord.

12 Gå dog hen til mit hellige Sted i Silo, hvor jeg først stadfæstede mit Navn, og se, hvad jeg gjorde ved det for mit Folk Israels Ondskabs Skyld.

But go ye nowe vnto my place which was in Shilo, where I set my Name at the beginning, and beholde, what I did to it for the wickednesse of my people Israel.

13 Og nu, fordi I øver alle disse Gerninger, lyder det fra HERREN, og fordi I ikke vilde høre, når jeg årle og silde talede til eder, eller svare, når jeg kaldte på eder,

Therefore nowe because yee haue done all these woorkes, sayeth the Lord, (and I rose vp earely and spake vnto you: but when I spake, yee would not heare me, neither when I called, would yee answere).

14 derfor vil jeg gøre med Huset, som mit Navn nævnes over, og som I stoler på, og med Stedet, jeg gav eder og eders Fædre, ligesom jeg gjorde med Silo;

Therefore will I do vnto this House, wherupon my Name is called, wherein also yee trust, euen vnto the place that I gaue to you and to your fathers, as I haue done vnto Shilo.

15 og jeg vil støde eder bort fra mit Åsyn, som jeg stødte alle eders Brødre bort, al Efraims Æt.

And I will cast you out of my sight, as I haue cast out all your brethren, euen the whole seede of Ephraim.

16 Men du må ikke gå i Forbøn for dette Folk eller frembære klage og Bøn eller trænge ind på mig for dem, thi jeg hører dig ikke.

Therfore thou shalt not pray for this people, neither lift vp crie or praier for them neither intreat me, for I will not heare thee.

17 Ser du ikke, hvad de har for i Judas Byer og på Jerusalems Gader?,

Seest thou not what they doe in the cities of Iudah and in the streetes of Ierusalem?

18 Børnene sanker Brænde, Fædrene tænder Ild, og Kvinderne ælter Dejg for at bage Offerkager til Himmelens Dronning og udgyde Drikofre for fremmede Guder og og krænke mig.

The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knede the dough to make cakes to the Queene of heauen and to powre out drinke offrings vnto other gods, that they may prouoke me vnto anger.

19 Mon det er mig, de krænker, lyder det fra HERREN, mon ikke sig selv til deres Ansigters Skam?

Doe they prouoke me to anger, sayeth the Lord, and not themselues to the confusion of their owne faces?

20 Derfor, så siger den Herre HERREN: Se, min Vrede og Harme udgyder sig over dette Sted, over Folk og Fæ, over Markens Træer og Jordens Frugt, og den skal brænde uden at slukkes.

Therefore thus sayeth the Lord God, Beholde, mine anger and my wrath shall be powred vpon this place, vpon man and vpon beast, and vpon the tree of the fielde, and vpon the fruite of the grounde, and it shall burne and not bee quenched.

21 Så siger Hærskarers HERRE, Israels Gud: Læg eders Brændofre til eders Slagtofre og æd Kød!

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Put your burnt offerings vnto your sacrifices, and eat the flesh.

22 Thi dengang jeg førte eders Fædre ud af Ægypten, talede jeg ikke til dem eller bød dem noget om Brændoffer og Slagtoffer;

For I spake not vnto your fathers, nor commanded them, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offrings and sacrifices.

23 men dette bød jeg dem: "I skal høre min Røst, så vil jeg være eders Gud, og I skal være mit Folk; og I skal gå på alle de Veje, jeg byder eder, at det må gå eder vel."

But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voyce, and I will be your God, and yee shalbe my people: and walke yee in all the wayes which I haue commanded you, that it may be well vnto you.

24 Men de hørte ikke og lånte ikke Øre; de fulgte deres onde Hjertes Stivsind og gik tilbage, ikke fremad.

But they would not obey, nor incline their eare, but went after the counsels and the stubbernesse of their wicked heart, and went backewarde and not forwarde.

25 Fra den Dag eders Fædre drog ud af Ægypten, og til i Dag har jeg Dag efter Dag, årle og silde sendt eder alle mine Tjenere Profeterne;

Since the day that your fathers came vp out of the lande of Egypt, vnto this day, I haue euen sent vnto you al my seruants the Prophets, rising vp earely euery day, and sending them.

26 men de hørte ikke og lånte ikke Øre; de gjorde Nakken stiv og øvede mere ondt end deres Fædre.

Yet would they not heare me nor encline their eare, but hardened their necke and did worse then their fathers.

27 Når du siger dem alle disse Ord, hører de dig ikke, og kalder du på dem, svarer de dig ikke.

Therefore shalt thou speake al these words vnto them, but they will not heare thee: thou shalt also crie vnto them, but they will not answere thee.

28 Sig så til dem: Det er det Folk, som ej hørte HERREN deres Guds Røst, det, som ej tog ved Lære; Sandhed er svundet, udryddet af deres Mund.

But thou shalt say vnto them, This is a nation that heareth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiueth discipline: trueth is perished, and is cleane gone out of their mouth.

29 Afklip dit Hår, kast det bort og klag på de nøgne Høje! Thi HERREN har forkastet og bortstødt den Slægt, han var vred på.

Cut off thine heare, O Ierusalem, and cast it away, and take vp a complaint on the hie places: for the Lord hath reiected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.

30 Thi Judas Sønner har gjort, hvad der er ondt i mine Øjne, lyder det fra HERREN; de har opstillet deres væmmelige Guder i Huset, som mit Navn nævnes over, for at gøre det urent;

For the children of Iudah haue done euill in my sight, sayth the Lord: they haue set their abominations in the House, whereupon my Name is called, to pollute it.

31 de har bygget Tofets Offerhøje i Hinnoms Søns Dal for at brænde deres Sønner og Døtre i Ilden, hvad jeg ikke har påbudt, og hvad aldrig var i min Tanke.

And they haue built the hie place of Topheth, which is in the valley of Ben-Hinnom to burne their sonnes and their daughters in the fire, which I commanded them not, neither came it in mine heart.

32 Se, derfor skal Dage komme, lyder det fra HERREN, da man ikke mere skal sige Tofet og Hinnoms Søns Dal, men Morddalen, og man skal jorde de døde i Tofet, fordi Pladsen ikke slår til.

Therefore beholde, the dayes come, sayeth the Lord, that it shall no more be called Topheth, nor the valley of Ben-Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall burie in Topheth til there be no place.

33 Og dette Folks Lig skal blive Himmelens Fugle og Jordens Dyr til Æde, og ingen skal skræmme dem bort.

And ye carkeises of this people shalbe meat for the foules of the heauen and for the beastes of the earth, and none shall fraie them away.

34 Og i Judas Byer og på Jerusalems Gader gør jeg Ende på Fryderåb og Glædesråb, Brudgoms Røst og Bruds Røst, thi Landet skal lægges øde.

Then I will cause to cease from the cities of Iudah and from the streetes of Ierusalem the voice of mirth and the voice of gladnesse, the voice of the bridegrom and the voice of the bride: for the lande shalbe desolate.
