4 Mojžišova 32
1 Měli pak synové Ruben a synové Gád dobytka velmi mnoho, a uzřeli zemi Jazer a zemi Galád, ano místo to místo příhodné pro dobytek.
Nowe the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad had an exceeding great multitude of cattell: and they sawe the lande of Iazer, and the lande of Gilead, that it was an apt place for cattel.
2 Protož přistoupivše synové Gád a synové Ruben, mluvili k Mojžíšovi a k Eleazarovi knězi a knížatům shromáždění, řkouce:
Then the children of Gad, and the childre of Reuben came, and spake vnto Moses and to Eleazar the Priest, and vnto the princes of the Congregation, saying,
3 Atarot a Dibon, a Jazer a Nemra, Ezebon a Eleale, a Saban a Nébo a Beon,
The land of Ataroth, and Dibon, and Iazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
4 Země, kterouž zbil Hospodin před shromážděním Izraelským, jest země příhodná ku pastvě dobytku, a my služebníci tvoji máme drahně dobytka.
Which countrey the Lord smote before the Congregation of Israel, is a lande meete for cattell, and thy seruants haue cattell:
5 (Protož řekli: ) Jestliže jsme nalezli milost před očima tvýma, nechť jest dána krajina ta služebníkům tvým k vládařství, ať nechodíme za Jordán.
Wherefore, said they, if we haue foud grace in thy sight, let this lande be giuen vnto thy seruants for a possession, and bring vs not ouer Iorde.
6 I odpověděl Mojžíš synům Gád a synům Ruben: Což bratří vaši půjdou sami k boji, a vy zde zůstanete?
And Moses said vnto the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren goe to warre, and ye tary heere?
7 I proč roztrhujete mysli synů Izraelských, aby nesměli jíti do země, kterouž jim dal Hospodin?
Wherefore now discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel, to goe ouer into the lande, which the Lord hath giuen them?
8 Takť jsou učinili otcové vaši, když jsem je poslal z Kádesbarne, aby prohlédli zemi tu.
Thus did your fathers when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the lande.
9 Kteřížto, když přišli až k údolí Eškol a shlédli zemi, potom vrátivše se, odvrátili mysl synů Izraelských, aby nešli do země, kterouž dal jim Hospodin.
For when they went vp euen vnto the riuer of Eshcol, and sawe the land: they discouraged the heart of the childre of Israel, that they woulde not goe into the lande, which the Lord had giuen them.
10 Čímž popuzen jsa k hněvu Hospodin v den ten, přisáhl, řka:
And the Lordes wrath was kindled the same day, and he did sweare, saying,
11 Zajisté že lidé ti, kteříž vyšli z Egypta, od dvadcítiletých a výše, neuzří země té, kterouž jsem s přísahou zaslíbil Abrahamovi, Izákovi a Jákobovi, nebo ne cele následovali mne,
None of the men that came out of Egypt from twentie yeere olde and aboue, shall see the land for the which I sware vnto Abraham, to Izhak, and to Iaakob, because they haue not wholly followed me:
12 Kromě Kálefa, syna Jefonova Cenezejského, a Jozue, syna Nun, nebo cele následovali Hospodina.
Except Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh the Kenesite, and Ioshua the sonne of Nun: for they haue constantly followed the Lord.
13 I popudila se prchlivost Hospodinova na Izraele, a učinil, aby byli tuláci na poušti za čtyřidceti let, dokudž nezahynul všecken ten věk, kterýž činil zlé před očima Hospodinovýma.
And the Lord was very angry with Israel, and made them wander in the wildernesse fourty yeeres, vntill all the generation that had done euill in the sight of the Lord were consumed.
14 A hle, vy nastoupili jste na místo otců svých, plémě lidí hříšných, abyste vždy přidávali k hněvu prchlivosti Hospodinovy na Izraele.
And behold, ye are risen vp in your fathers steade as an encrease of sinfull men, still to augment the fierce wrath of the Lord, toward Israel.
15 Jestliže se odvrátíte od následování jeho, i onť také opustí jej na poušti této, a tak budete příčina zahynutí všeho lidu tohoto.
For if ye turne away from following him, he will yet againe leaue the people in the wildernesse, and ye shall destroy all this folke.
16 Přistoupivše pak znovu, řekli jemu: Stáje dobytkům a stádům svým zde vzděláme, a města dítkám svým,
And they went neere to him, and said, We will builde sheepe foldes here for our sheepe, and for our cattell, and cities for our children.
17 Sami pak v odění pohotově budeme, statečně sobě počínajíce před syny Izraelskými, dokavadž jich neuvedeme na místo jejich; mezi tím zůstanou dítky naše v městech hrazených, pro bezpečnost před obyvateli země.
But we our selues will be readie armed to go before the children of Israel, vntill we haue brought them vnto their place: but our childre shall dwell in the defenced cities, because of the inhabitants of the lande.
18 Nenavrátíme se do domů svých, až prvé vládnouti budou synové Izraelští jeden každý dědictvím svým;
We will not returne vnto our houses, vntil the children of Israel haue inherited, euery man his inheritance.
19 Aniž vezmeme jakého dědictví s nimi za Jordánem neb dále, když dosáhneme dědictví svého z této strany Jordánu, k východu slunce.
Neither wil we inherite with them beyond Iorden and on that side, because our inheritance is fallen to vs on this side Iorden Eastwarde.
20 I odpověděl jim Mojžíš: Jestliže učiníte tak, jakž jste mluvili, a jestliže půjdete v odění před Hospodinem k boji,
And Moses saide vnto them, If ye will doe this thing, and goe armed before the Lord to warre:
21 A šli byste za Jordán vy všickni v odění před Hospodinem, dokavadž by nevyhnal nepřátel svých od tváři své,
And will goe euery one of you in harnesse ouer Iorden before the Lord, vntill he hath cast out his enemies from his sight:
22 A nebyla podmaněna všecka země před Hospodinem: potom navrátíte se, a budete bez viny před Hospodinem i před Izraelem; tak přijde země tato vám v dědictví před Hospodinem.
And vntill the land be subdued before the Lord, then ye shall returne and be innocent toward the Lord, and toward Israel: and this land shalbe your possession before the Lord.
23 Pakli neučiníte toho, hle, zhřešíte proti Hospodinu, a vězte, že pomsta vaše přijde na vás.
But if ye will not doe so, beholde, ye haue sinned against the Lord, and be sure, that your sinne will finde you out.
24 Stavějte sobě tedy města pro dítky, a stáje pro dobytky své, a což vyšlo z úst vašich, učiňte.
Builde you then cities for your children and folds for your sheepe, and do that ye haue spoke.
25 I odpovědělo pokolení synů Gád a synů Ruben Mojžíšovi, řka: Služebníci tvoji učiní, jakž pán náš rozkazuje.
Then the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake vnto Moses, saying, Thy seruats will doe as my lorde commandeth:
26 Dítky naše a ženy naše, dobytek náš a všecka hovada naše, tu zůstanou v městech Galád,
Our childre, our wiues, our sheepe, and al our cattell shall remaine there in the cities of Gilead,
27 Služebníci pak tvoji přejdou jeden každý v odění způsobný před Hospodinem k boji, jakož mluví pán můj.
But thy seruants will goe euery one armed to warre before the Lord for to fight, as my lorde saith.
28 I poručil o nich Mojžíš Eleazarovi knězi a Jozue, synu Nun, a předním v čeledech pokolení synů Izraelských,
So concerning them, Moses commanded Eleazar the Priest, and Ioshua the sonne of Nun, and the chiefe fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:
29 A řekl jim: Jestliže přejdou synové Gád a synové Ruben s vámi za Jordán všickni hotovi k boji před Hospodinem, a byla by již podmaněna země před vámi, dáte jim zemi Galád k vládařství.
And Moses said vnto them, If the children of Gad, and the children of Reuben, will go with you ouer Iorden, all armed to fight before the Lord, then when the land is subdued before you, ye shall giue the the lad of Gilead for a possessio:
30 Pakli by nešli v odění s vámi, tedy dědictví míti budou u prostřed vás v zemi Kanán.
But if they will not goe ouer with you armed, then they shall haue their possessions amog you in the land of Canaan.
31 I odpověděli synové Gád a synové Ruben, řkouce: Jakž mluvil Hospodin služebníkům tvým, tak učiníme:
And the children of Gad, and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the Lord hath said vnto thy seruants, so will we doe.
32 My půjdeme v odění před Hospodinem do země Kanán, a zůstane nám v dědictví vládařství naše z této strany Jordánu.
We will goe armed before the Lord into the lande of Canaan: that the possession of our inheritance may be to vs on this side Iorden.
33 Tedy dal jim Mojžíš, synům totiž Gád a synům Ruben a polovici pokolení Manasses, syna Jozefova, království Seona, krále Amorejského, a království Oga, krále Bázanského, zemi s městy jejími při pomezích, i města země té všudy vůkol.
So Moses gaue vnto them, euen to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to halfe the tribe of Manasseh the sonne of Ioseph, the kingdome of Sihon King of the Amorites, and the kingdome of Og King of Bashan, the lande with the cities thereof and coastes, euen the cities of the countrey round about.
34 A vzdělali synové Gád, Dibon, Atarot a Aroer,
Then the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
35 A Atrot, Sofan, Jazer a Jegbaa,
And Atroth, Shophan, and Iazer, and Iogbehah,
36 A Betnemra a Betaran, města hrazená, a stáje pro dobytky.
And Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, defenced cities: also sheepe foldes.
37 Synové pak Ruben vystavěli Ezebon, Eleale a Kariataim,
And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kiriathaim,
38 A Nébo a Balmeon, změnivše jim jména; také Sabma, a dali jiná jména městům, kteráž vzdělali.
And Nebo, and Baal-meon, and turned their names, and Shibmah: and gaue other names vnto the cities which they built.
39 Táhli pak synové Machir, syna Manassesova, do Galád, a vzavše tu krajinku, vyhnali Amorejského, kterýž tam bydlil.
And the children of Machir the sonne of Manasseh went to Gilead, and tooke it, and put out the Amorites that dwelt therein.
40 I dal Mojžíš zemi Galád Machirovi, synu Manassesovu, a bydlil v ní.
Then Moses gaue Gilead vnto Machir the sonne of Manasseh, and he dwelt therein.
41 Jair také syn Manassesův táhl a vzal vsi jejich, a nazval je vsi Jairovy.
And Iair the sonne of Manasseh went and tooke the small townes thereof, and called them Hauoth Iair.
42 Nobe také táhl, a vzal Kanat a městečka jeho, a nazval je Nobe od jména svého.
Also Nobah went and tooke Kenath, with the villages thereof and called it Nobah, after his owne name.
