1 ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛ̅ⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ.
And Jesus, while passing by, saw a man blind from birth.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲃⲃⲉⲓ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ. ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ ϫⲛ̅ⲛⲉϥⲉ͡ⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲩⲉϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉϥⲟ ⲃ̅ⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ.
And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?”
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲓ̅ⲥ̅. ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛⲉϥⲕⲉⲉ͡ⲓⲟⲧⲉ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧϥ̅.
Jesus responded: “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but it was so that the works of God would be made manifest in him.
4 ⲇ̅ ϣ̑ϣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲛⲉϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲉ͡ⲓ ϩⲟⲥⲟⲛ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ. ⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϣϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲥ̅.
I must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day: the night is coming, when no one is able to work.
5 ⲉ̅ ϩⲟⲥⲟⲛ ϯϩⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ. ⲁⲛⲅ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ.
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
6 ⲋ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϫⲉⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲁϥⲛⲉϫⲟⲩⲡⲁϭⲥⲉ ⲉⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲙⲓⲉⲟⲩⲟⲙⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲡⲁϭⲥⲉ ⲁϥϫⲉϩⲡⲟⲙⲉ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ
When he had said these things, he spat on the ground, and he made clay from the spittle, and he smeared the clay over his eyes.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲛⲅ̅ⲉ͡ⲓⲁⲡⲉⲕϩⲟ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲕⲟⲗⲩⲙ̅ⲃⲏⲑⲣⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲥⲓⲗⲱⲁⲙ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉϣⲁⲩⲟⲩⲁϩⲙⲉϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲟⲩϥ. ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ϭⲉ ⲁϥⲉ͡ⲓⲁⲡⲉϥϩⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲉ͡ⲓ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
And he said to him: “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated as: one who has been sent). Therefore, he went away and washed, and he returned, seeing.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲛⲉⲧϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱϥ ϭⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛ̅ϣⲟⲣⲡ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲣⲉϥⲧⲱⲃⲁϩ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉⲧϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧϣⲉⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲛⲁ͡ⲁ.
And so the bystanders and those who had seen him before, when he was a beggar, said, “Is this not the one who was sitting and begging?” Some said, “This is he.”
9 ⲑ̅ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ. ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉϥⲉ͡ⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ. ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ.
But others said, “Certainly not, but he is similar to him.” Yet truly, he himself said, “I am he.”
10 ⲓ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ϭⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲉⲕⲃⲁⲗ.
Therefore, they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?”
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲙⲓⲉⲟⲩⲟⲙⲉ ⲁϥϫⲉϩⲛⲁⲃⲁⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲡⲥⲓⲗⲱϩⲁⲙ ⲛⲅ̅ⲉⲓⲁⲡⲉⲕϩⲟ. ⲁⲓ̈ⲃⲱⲕ ϭⲉ ⲁⲓ̈ⲉ͡ⲓⲁⲡⲁϩⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲉ͡ⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
He responded: “That man who is called Jesus made clay, and he anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ And I went, and I washed, and I see.”
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ. ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ϯⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ.
And they said to him, “Where is he?” He said, “I do not know.”
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲉ͡ⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛⲉϥⲟ ⲃ̅ⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ.
They brought the one who had been blind to the Pharisees.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲉⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲧⲁⲙⲓⲉⲡⲟⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ.
Now it was the Sabbath, when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲩϫⲛⲟⲩϥ ϭⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲕⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ. ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥⲉⲥϭⲟⲩⲟⲙⲉ ⲉⲛⲁⲃⲁⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲓ̈ⲁⲡⲁϩⲟ ⲁⲓ̈ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
Therefore, again the Pharisees questioned him as to how he had seen. And he said to them, “He placed clay over my eyes, and I washed, and I see.”
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉϩⲟⲓ̈ⲛⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲉ͡ⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛϥ̅ϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ. ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲟⲩⲛϣϭⲟⲙ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲣⲛⲉⲓ̈ⲙⲁⲓ̈ⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲓ̈ⲙⲓⲛⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩⲥⲭⲓⲥⲙⲁ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ.
And so certain Pharisees said: “This man, who does not keep the Sabbath, is not from God.” But others said, “How could a sinful man accomplish these signs?” And there was a schism among them.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉϥⲟ ⲃ̅ⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ. ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲕ ⲉⲕϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲕⲃⲁⲗ. ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ.
Therefore, they spoke again to the blind man, “What do you say about him who opened your eyes?” Then he said, “He is a Prophet.”
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ϭⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ. ϣⲁⲛⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲛⲉ͡ⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Therefore, the Jews did not believe, about him, that he had been blind and had seen, until they called the parents of him who had seen.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϫⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛ̅ⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ. ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ϭⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
And they questioned them, saying: “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? Then how is it that he now sees?”
20 ⲕ̅ ⲁⲛⲉϥⲉ͡ⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ. ϫⲉ ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲛϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛ̅ⲃⲗⲗⲉ.
His parents responded to them and said: “We know that this is our son and that he was born blind.
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ. ⲏ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ. ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ. ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲁϥⲣ̅ⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ.
But how it is that he now sees, we do not know. And who opened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him. He is old enough. Let him speak for himself.”
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲩϫⲉⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲉϥⲉ͡ⲓⲟⲧⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲣ̅ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ̈. ⲛⲉⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲩⲥⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ̈ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲁ ϩⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲓ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉ. ⲉϥⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁⲡⲟⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲟⲥ.
His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Jews. For the Jews had already conspired, so that if anyone were to confess him to be the Christ, he would be expelled from the synagogue.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲛⲉϥⲉ͡ⲓⲟⲧⲉ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲣ̅ⲛⲟϭ ⲙⲁϫⲛⲟⲩϥ.
It was for this reason that his parents said: “He is old enough. Ask him.”
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϭⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲉϩⲥⲉⲡⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉϥⲟ ⲛ̅ⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ϯⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲉ͡ⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡⲉ.
Therefore, they again called the man who had been blind, and they said to him: “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲏ. ϫⲉ ⲉϣϫⲉⲟⲩⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡⲉ. ⲛ̅ϯⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ. ⲟⲩⲁ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉϯⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ. ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲓ̈ⲟ ⲛ̅ⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ ⲡⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϯⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
And so he said to them: “If he is a sinner, I do not know it. One thing I do know, that although I was blind, now I see.”
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲕ. ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲕⲃⲁⲗ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ.
Then they said to him: “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲛⲁⲩ. ϫⲉ ⲁⲉ͡ⲓⲟⲩⲱ ⲉⲓ̈ϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅. ⲟⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉϣⲥⲟⲧⲙⲉϥ. ⲙⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱϣ ϩⲱⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲣⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲁϥ.
He answered them: “I have already told you, and you heard it. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become his disciples?”
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲥⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ."ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ. ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲩ̈ⲥⲏⲥ.
Therefore, they cursed him and said: “You be his disciple. But we are disciples of Moses.
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ⲙⲱⲩ̈ⲥⲏⲥ. ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ.
We know that God spoke to Moses. But this man, we do not know where he is from.”
30 ⲗ̅ ⲁⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ. ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲣⲱ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲉϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲃⲁⲗ.
The man responded and said to them: “Now in this is a wonder: that you do not know where he is from, and yet he has opened my eyes.
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲙⲉⲣⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲣⲙ̅ⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲉ͡ⲓⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣ. ϣⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲟϥ.
And we know that God does not hear sinners. But if anyone is a worshipper of God and does his will, then he heeds him.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ϫⲓⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲉⲛⲃⲁⲗ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲁⲩϫⲡⲟϥ ⲉϥⲟ ⲛ̅ⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ. (aiōn g165)
From ancient times, it has not been heard that anyone has opened the eyes of someone born blind. (aiōn g165)
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲉⲛⲉⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲛ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ̈. ⲛⲉϥⲛⲁϣⲣ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ϩⲱⲃ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ.
Unless this man were of God, he would not be able to do any such thing.”
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲩϫⲡⲟⲕ ⲧⲏⲣⲕ̅ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲕ ⲉⲕⲛⲁϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁⲛ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲛⲟϫϥ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
They responded and said to him, “You were born entirely in sins, and you would teach us?” And they cast him out.
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲛⲟϫϥ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲕ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ.
Jesus heard that they had cast him out. And when he had found him, he said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲉ͡ⲓⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ.
He responded and said, “Who is he, Lord, so that I may believe in him?”
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲁⲕⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉ.
And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen him, and he is the one who is speaking with you.”
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅
And he said, “I believe, Lord.” And falling prostrate, he worshipped him.
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲓ̈ⲉⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲩϩⲁⲡ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲩⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ.
And Jesus said, “I came into this world in judgment, so that those who do not see, may see; and so that those who see, may become blind.”
40 ⲙ̅ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲛ̅ϭⲓϩⲟⲓ̈ⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϩⲱⲱⲛ ⲁⲛⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ.
And certain Pharisees, who were with him, heard this, and they said to him, “Are we also blind?”
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲁⲩ. ϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲃⲗ̅ⲗⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲡⲉ. ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ. ⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ̅.
Jesus said to them: “If you were blind, you would not have sin. Yet now you say, ‘We see.’ So your sin persists.”
