When the Sabbath was past, Miriam Magdalene, and Miriam the mother of Jacob, and Shalom bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲛⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲙϩⲁⲟⲩ ⲉⲁⲡⲣⲏϣⲁ
Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲩⲉⲣⲏⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁϥⲓⲡⲱⲛⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓ ⲣⲱϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲙϩⲁⲟⲩ
They were saying amongst themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?”
4 ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϥⲓⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲱⲛⲉ ⲉⲁⲩϥⲓⲧϥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲙⲁⲧⲉ
for it was very big. Looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled back.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲙϩⲁⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩϩⲣϣⲓⲣⲉ ⲉϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛⲥⲁⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉϥϭⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲃϣ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲑⲟⲧⲉ ϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ
Entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe; and they were amazed.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲕⲱⲧⲉ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲛⲁⲍⲁⲣⲏⲛⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛϥ ⲛϥϩⲙⲡⲉⲓⲙⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲕⲁⲁϥ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ
He said to them, “Don’t be amazed. You seek Yeshua, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him!
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲙⲛⲡⲕⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲣϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ
But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see him, as he said to you.’”
8 ⲏ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲙϩⲁⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲡⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲣϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩϫⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲩⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ
They went out, and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had come on them. They said nothing to anyone; for they were afraid.
9 ⲑ̅ (note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛϩⲧⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲥⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲉⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲧⲙⲁⲅⲇⲁⲗⲏⲛⲏ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲛⲥⲁϣϥ ⲛⲇⲁⲓⲙⲱⲛⲓⲟⲛϫⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲁⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲓⲛ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲛϣⲁ ⲙⲡⲣⲏ ϣⲁ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲛϩⲱⲧⲛ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲁⲧⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲛϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ
(note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Miriam Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.
10 ⲓ̅ ⲧⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲥⲃⲱⲕ ⲁⲥⲧⲁⲙⲙⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲉⲩⲣ ϩⲃⲃⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲩⲣⲓⲙⲉ
She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ϥⲟⲛϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ϫⲉ ⲁⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲣⲁⲧⲛⲁϩⲧⲉ
When they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they disbelieved.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲕⲉⲙⲟⲣⲫⲏ ⲉⲩⲃⲏⲕ ⲉⲧⲥⲱϣⲉ
After these things he was revealed in another form to two of them as they walked, on their way into the country.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲙⲉ ⲡⲕⲉⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ
They went away and told it to the rest. They didn’t believe them, either.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲱⲥ ⲉⲩⲛⲏϫ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲙⲛⲧⲟⲩⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲛⲟϭⲛⲉϭ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲙⲛⲧⲁⲧⲛⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲙⲛⲧⲉⲩⲙⲛⲧⲛⲁϣⲧ ϩⲏⲧ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ
Afterward he was revealed to the Eleven themselves as they sat at the table; and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they didn’t believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲁϣⲉ ⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲧⲏⲣϥ
He said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the Good News to the whole creation.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲛϥϫⲓ ⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ϥⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛϥⲛⲁⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲧϭⲁⲓⲟϥ
He who believes and is immersed will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲛⲉⲓⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱϩ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϫ ⲇⲁⲓⲙⲱⲛⲓⲟⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲛ ⲛⲁⲥⲡⲉ
These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages;
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϥⲓ ⲛⲛϩⲟϥ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲩϭⲓϫ ⲕⲁⲛⲉⲩϣⲁⲛⲥⲱ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲁϩⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲛⲁⲣ ⲃⲟⲟⲛⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲉϫⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϣⲱⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲧⲟⲛ
they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲧⲣⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲩϥⲓⲧϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲡⲉ ⲁϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲥⲁⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
20 ⲕ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲧⲁϣⲉ ⲟⲉⲓϣ ϩⲙⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲣⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϯⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ⲙⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲙⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲏϩ ⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩ
They went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.
