1 ⲁ̅ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲧⲣⲉⲙⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ϣⲟⲩⲟ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲛⲥⲉⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲡⲉ ϩⲁⲧⲛⲧⲗⲓⲙⲛⲏ ⲛⲅⲉⲛⲛⲏⲍⲁⲣⲉⲧ
Now while the multitude pressed on him and heard ha D'var Elohim · the Word of God·, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉϫⲟⲓ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲟⲛⲉ ϩⲁⲧⲛ ⲧⲗⲓⲙⲛⲏ ⲛⲉⲁⲛⲟⲩⲱϩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲓⲱ ⲛⲛⲉⲩϣⲛⲏⲟⲩ
He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁϥⲁⲗⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲁ ⲛⲛϫⲟⲓ ⲉⲡⲁⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϩⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲣⲟ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩⲓ ⲁϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ϩⲓⲡϫⲟⲉⲓ ⲁϥϯ ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲙⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ
He entered into one of the boats, which was Simeon [Hearing]’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲟⲩⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ϫⲉ ⲕⲧⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲧ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲭⲁⲗⲁ ⲛⲛⲉϣⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉϭⲱⲡⲉ
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simeon [Hearing], “Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 ⲉ̅ ⲁⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲥⲁϩ ⲁⲛϣⲉⲡϩⲓⲥⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲙⲡⲛϭⲉⲡⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲉⲕϣⲁϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲭⲁⲗⲁ ⲛⲛⲉϣⲛⲏⲟⲩ
Simeon [Hearing] answered him, “Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
6 ⲋ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲣ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲟⲩϩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛⲧⲃⲧ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱϥ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉϣⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲡⲱϩ ⲡⲉ
When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩϫⲱⲣⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲕⲉϣⲃⲉⲉⲣ ⲉⲧϩⲓⲡⲕⲉϫⲟⲓ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲉⲓ ⲛⲥⲉϯⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲙⲉϩⲡϫⲟⲉⲓ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲱⲙⲥ
They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
8 ⲏ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲁⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲡⲁϩⲧϥ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲁϩⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲅⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲣⲣⲉϥⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ
But Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock], when he saw it, fell down at Yeshua [Salvation]'s knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”
9 ⲑ̅ ⲛⲉⲁⲩϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲁϩⲟϥ ⲛⲙⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲥⲟⲟⲩϩⲥ ⲛⲛⲧⲃⲧ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϭⲟⲡⲥ
For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;
10 ⲓ̅ ϩⲟⲙⲟⲓⲱⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲕⲉⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃⲟⲥ ⲛⲙⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲍⲉⲃⲉⲇⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲛⲉⲩⲟ ⲛⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲙⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲛⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϫⲓⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲕⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲕϭⲉⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ
and so also were James [Surplanter] and John [Yah is gracious], sons of Zebedee [Bestowed by Yah], who were partners with Simeon [Hearing]. Yeshua [Salvation] said to Simeon [Hearing], “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲙⲁⲛⲉⲛⲉϫⲏⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲣⲟ ⲁⲩⲕⲁⲛⲕⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲱϥ
When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲛⲙⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϥⲙⲉϩ ⲛⲥⲱⲃⲁϩ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲓⲏⲥ ⲁϥⲡⲁϩⲧϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉϫⲙⲡⲉϥϩⲟ ⲁϥⲥⲉⲡⲥⲱⲡϥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲟⲩⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲃⲃⲟⲓ
While he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of tzara'at ·leprosy·. When he saw Yeshua [Salvation], he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁϥⲥⲟⲩⲧⲛⲧⲉϥϭⲓϫ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥϫⲱϩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲧⲃⲃⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲡⲥⲱⲃⲁϩ ⲕⲁⲁϥ
He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the tzara'at ·leprosy· left him.
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲅⲉⲓⲗⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲛⲅⲧⲟⲩⲟⲕ ⲉⲡⲟⲩⲏⲏⲃ ⲛⲅⲧⲁⲗⲟ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲁⲡⲉⲕⲧⲃⲃⲟ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲉϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲙⲱⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲉⲩⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ
He commanded him to tell no one. “Instead, as a testimony to the people, go straight to the priest and make an offer for your cleansing, as Moses [Drawn out] commanded.”
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲙⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲥⲱⲟⲩϩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲁⲗϭⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲱⲛⲉ
But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲥⲓϩⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲉⲛⲙⲁ ⲛϫⲁⲓⲉ ⲉϥϣⲗⲏⲗ
But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥϯ ⲥⲃⲱ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲉϩⲉⲛⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲛⲟⲙⲟⲇⲓⲇⲁⲥⲕⲁⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ϯⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ ⲛⲙϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ⲛⲙⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲧϭⲟⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲧⲁⲗϭⲟ
On one of those days, he was teaching; and there were Pharisees [Separated] and Torah-Teachers sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee [District, Circuit], Judea [Praise], and Jerusalem [City of peace]. The power of MarYah [Master Yahweh] was with him to heal them.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲉⲓⲥϩⲉⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϥⲥⲏϭ ϩⲓϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲛⲅⲕⲟⲧⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲥⲁϫⲓⲧϥ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲕⲁⲁϥ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Yeshua [Salvation].
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲙⲡⲟⲩϩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲛϫⲓⲧϥ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧϫⲉⲛⲉⲡⲱⲣ ⲁⲩⲭⲁⲗⲁ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲕⲉⲣⲁⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉϭⲗⲟϭ ⲉⲧⲉⲩⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ
Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the middle before Yeshua [Salvation].
20 ⲕ̅ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲉⲕⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲕⲏ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Seeing their trusting faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲁⲣⲭⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧϫⲓⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲩⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲕⲁⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲥⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁϥ
The Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲩⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁϩⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϩⲛ ⲉⲧⲛϩⲏⲧ
But Yeshua [Salvation], perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁϣ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲟⲧⲛ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲕⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲕⲏ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲛϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲅⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ
Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ϩⲓϫⲛ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲉⲕⲁⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲥⲏϭ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲅϥⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲕϭⲗⲟϭ ⲛⲅⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲡⲉⲕⲏⲓ
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (he said to the paralyzed man), “I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house.”
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲩⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥϥⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϥϭⲗⲟϭ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲉϥϯ ⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁⲩⲣϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁⲩϯ ⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩϩ ⲛϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉϩⲉⲛϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲟⲩ
Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲗⲉⲩⲉⲓ ⲉϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲓⲡⲉϥⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲓⲟⲛ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁϩⲕ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ
After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi [United with] sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁϥⲕⲁⲛⲕⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲁϩϥ ⲛⲥⲱϥ
He left everything, and rose up and followed him.
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲗⲉⲩⲉⲓ ⲣⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛϣⲟⲡⲥ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲛⲙϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲛⲏϫ
Levi [United with] made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.
30 ⲗ̅ ⲁⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ⲕⲣⲙⲣⲙ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲱ ⲛⲙⲛⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲣⲣⲉϥⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉ
Their Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲧⲏⲕ ⲛⲥⲉⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲥⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲕϩ ⲛⲉⲧⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲛⲁϥ
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲧⲁⲓⲉⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲉϩⲙⲛⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲣⲣⲉϥⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲛⲟⲓⲁ
I have not come to call the upright, but sinners to teshuvah ·complete repentance·.”
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲥⲉⲛⲏⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲛϩⲁϩ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲙⲛⲁ ⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲟⲩⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲉⲥⲱ
They said to him, “Why do John [Yah is gracious]’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees [Separated], but yours eat and drink?”
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲛϣⲉⲗⲉⲉⲧ ⲛⲏⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲁⲧϣⲉⲗⲉⲉⲧ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ
He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲟⲩⲛϩⲉⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲛⲁϥⲓ ⲙⲡⲁⲧϣⲉⲗⲉⲉⲧ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲛⲏⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ
But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁϥϫⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲕⲉⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ϫⲉ ⲙⲉⲣⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲥⲗⲡⲟⲩⲧⲟⲓⲥ ϩⲓⲟⲩϣⲧⲏⲛ ⲛϣⲁⲓ ⲛϥⲧⲟⲣⲡⲥ ⲉⲩϣⲧⲏⲛ ⲙⲡⲗϭⲉ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϥⲛⲁⲡⲁϩⲧⲕⲉϣⲧⲏⲛ ⲛϣⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲙⲧⲧⲟⲓⲥ ⲛϣⲁⲓ ⲣϣⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲡⲗϭⲉ
He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲉⲣⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲏⲣⲡ ⲃⲃⲣⲣⲉ ⲉϩⲉⲛϩⲱⲧ ⲛⲁⲥ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϣⲁⲣⲉⲡⲏⲣⲡ ⲃⲃⲣⲣⲉ ⲡⲉϩⲛϩⲱⲧ ⲛϥⲡⲱⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲕⲉϩⲱⲧ ⲧⲁⲕⲟ
No one puts new wine into old wine skins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉϣⲁⲩⲛⲉϫⲏⲣⲡ ⲃⲃⲣⲣⲉ ⲉϩⲉⲛϩⲱⲧ ⲃⲃⲣⲣⲉ
But new wine must be put into fresh wine skins, and both are preserved.
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲙⲉⲣⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲉϣⲏⲣⲡ ⲃⲃⲣⲣⲉ ⲉϥⲥⲉⲣⲡ ⲁⲥ ϣⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲣⲡⲉⲣⲡ ⲁⲥ
No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
