ⲐⲈⲤⲤⲀⲖⲞⲚⲒⲔⲎ Ⲁ ̅ 1

1 ⲁ̅ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲥⲓⲗⲟⲩⲁⲛⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑⲉⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲑⲉⲥⲥⲁⲗⲟⲛⲓⲕⲉⲩⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲛ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲙⲛ ϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

2 ⲃ̅ ⲧⲛϣⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲧⲛ ⲉⲛⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲛϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲁϫⲛ ⲱϫⲛ

We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,

3 ⲅ̅ ⲉⲛⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲙⲡϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲑⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ⲛⲑⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ

remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labour of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, before our God and Father.

4 ⲇ̅ ⲉⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲙⲙⲉⲣⲓⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲛⲧⲥⲱⲧⲡ

We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,

5 ⲉ̅ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲛ ⲧⲕⲉϭⲟⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲱⲧ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱϣ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ

and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be amongst you for your sake.

6 ⲋ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲛⲧⲱⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲙⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ

You became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

7 ⲍ̅ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲧⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲁⲭⲁⲓⲁ

so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.

8 ⲏ̅ ⲛⲧⲁ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϯⲥⲟⲉⲓⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ⲧⲙⲁⲕⲉⲇⲟⲛⲓⲁ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲁⲭⲁⲓⲁ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲉⲧϫⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲥⲣⲥⲟⲉⲓⲧ ϩⲛ ⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲛⲧⲙⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲛϫⲉ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ

For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith towards God has gone out, so that we need not to say anything.

9 ⲑ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲥⲉϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲛⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲕⲉⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲓⲇⲱⲗⲟⲛ ⲉⲣϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲙⲉ

For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,

10 ⲓ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϭⲱϣⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲟⲣⲅⲏ ⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead: Yeshua, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
