1 ⲁ̅ ⲁⲅⲉ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲣⲁⲙⲁⲟⲓ ⲣⲓⲙⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲧⲁⲗⲉⲡⲱⲣⲓⲁ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ.
O rich men, howl and weep for the miseries which are coming upon you.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲉⲧⲣⲁⲙⲁ⳿ⲟ ⲁⲥⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ϩⲃⲱⲥ ⲁ ⳿ⲧϩⲟⲗⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲙⲟⲩ.
Your riches are corrupt and stink, and your vestments are eaten of the moth,

and your gold and your silver rusteth, and the rust of them is for a witness against you, and is to eat your flesh. You have gathered fire for you for the last days!
4 ⲇ̅ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⳿ⲫⲃⲉⲭⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲣⲅⲁⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩⲱⲥϧ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲫⲏⲉⲧϥⲏϫ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ϥⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓ ϭⲁⲓⲱⲥϧ ⲁⲩϣⲉ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲙⲁϣϫ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪ ⲥⲁⲃⲁⲱⲑ.
Lo, the hire of the labourers who have reaped your lands, which you have refused, clamoureth, and the cry of the harvests to the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth hath ascended.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟϥ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲁⲛⲟⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲁⲛϣ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲏ ⲧ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡϧⲟⲗϧⲉⲗ.
For you have lived daintily on the earth, and have been wanton, and have nourished your bodies, as for the day of slaughter.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϯϩⲁⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϧⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϥϯ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ.
You have condemned and have killed the just, and he hath not resisted you.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϣⲁ ⳿ⲧⲡⲁⲣⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲓ ⲉϥϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲁ⳿ⲧϩⲏ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⲉⲧⲧⲁⲓⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ϥⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱϥ ϣⲁⲧⲉϥϭⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓϣⲟⲣⲡ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓϧⲁ⳿ⲉ.
BUT you, my brethren, prolong your spirit until the coming of the Lord; as the husbandman who expecteth the precious fruits of his lands, and prolongeth his spirit for them, until he receive the rain the early and the latter;
8 ⲏ̅ ⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ ϩⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁⲧⲁϫⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ϫⲉ ⲁⲥϧⲱⲛⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϯⲡⲁⲣⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡ⳪.
so also you, prolong your spirit, and your hearts confirm; for the coming of our Lord draweth nigh.
9 ⲑ̅ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣϥⲓ⳿ⲁϩⲟⲙ ϧⲁ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏ ⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙϯϩⲁⲡ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲓⲣⲉϥϯϩⲁⲡ ⳿ϥⲟϩⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ϩⲓⲣⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲟⲩ.
Groan not one against another, my brethren, that you be not judged; for, behold, the Judge standeth before the door.
10 ⲓ̅ ϭⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϣⲉⲡϧⲓⲥⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪.
The example of the prophets take to you, my brethren, to prolong your spirits in your afflictions, them who have spoken in the name of the Lord.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲙⲁⲕⲁⲣⲓⲍⲓⲛ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩ⳿ⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉϯϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲓⲱⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲛϣⲁⲛ⳿ⲑⲙⲁϧⲧ ⳿ⲉⲙⲁϣⲱ ⲡⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲣⲉϥⲱⲟⲩⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲡⲉ.
For, behold, we give blessedness to them who have endured. You have heard of the patience of Iob, and the end which the Lord wrought for him you have seen; because that merciful is the Lord and compassionate.
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⳿ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲙⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣ⳿ⲁⲛⲁϣ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲫⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲕⲉ⳿ⲁⲛⲁϣ ⲕⲉ⳿ⲁⲛⲁϣ ⲙⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲩⲁϩⲁ ⲁϩⲁ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲁ ⲟⲩϩⲁⲡ.
But before every thing, my brethren, swear not; by heaven nor by earth, nor with any other oath; but let your word be Yes, yes, and No, no, that you be not bound under condemnation.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϭⲓϧⲓⲥⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲉⲣ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲉⲥⲑⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲯⲁⲗⲓⲛ.
And if any of you be in affliction, let him pray; and if he rejoice, let him sing;
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϣⲱⲛⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏ ⲛⲟⲩ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓ⳿ⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯ ⲉⲕ⳿ⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲧⲱⲃϩ ⳿ⲉϫⲱϥ ⳿ⲉⲁⲩⲑⲁϩⲥϥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲉϩ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪.
and if he be sick, let him call for the presbyters of the church, and they will pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of our Lord.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉ ⳿ⲡⲧⲱⲃϩ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⳿ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲑⲙⲟⲕϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⲕⲁⲛ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲭⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
And the prayer of faith shall make whole him who was sick, and our Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏ ⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲱⲃϩ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ϩⲟⲡⲱⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲛϫⲟⲙ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲉⲥⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ.
But confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. For great is the power of that prayer which the righteous prayeth.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲏⲗⲓⲁⲥ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϩⲱϥ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲛⲣⲉϥϣⲉⲡ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲣⲏϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲃϩ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙ⳿ⲑⲣⲉ ⳿ⲧⲫⲉ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲥϩⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⳿ⲛⲅ̅ϯ ⳿ⲛⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲁⲃⲟⲧ.
Elia also was a man of suffering, as we; and he prayed that the rain should not fall upon the earth, and it fell not (for) three years and six months.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲟⲛ ⲁ ⳿ⲧⲫⲉ ϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩ⳿ⲛϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⳿ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲣⲱⲧ ⲁϥϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ.
And again he prayed, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth gave her fruits.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲥⲱⲣⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲧⲁⲥⲑⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ.
my brethren, if any of you shall err from the way of truth, and one shall convert him from his error,
20 ⲕ̅ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁⲧⲁⲥⲑⲟ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲡⲗⲁⲛⲏ ϫⲉ ⳿ϥⲛⲁⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ϥⲛⲁϩⲱⲃⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃⲟⲥ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏ
let him know, that he who turneth a sinner from the error of his way, saveth his soul from death, and hideth the multitude of his sins.
