1 Ŵasesalonike 3

Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left behind at Athens alone;

and sent Timothy, our brother and God’s minister in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort [you] concerning your faith;

3 kuti chikulupi cha jwalijose pasikati jenu chinatinganyiche kwaligongo lya malagasyo getu ga. Mwachinsyene nkumanyilila kuti chitupate malagasyo go pakuŵa uli usache wa Akunnungu kulagaswa.

that no man be moved by these afflictions; for yourselves know that hereunto we are appointed.

4 Pakuŵa, patwaliji pamo ni ŵanyamwe twansalile chile kuti tutulagaswe, ni mpela inkuti pakumanyilila ni iyoyo yaitite pakuŵa.

For verily, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

5 Kwa ligongo lyo panalepele kwendelechela kupililila, nantumile che Timoseo kuti manyilile ngani sya chikulupi chenu. Najogwepe kuti pane jwachigongomalo jula anaiche kukunnyenga ni masengo gose gatupanganyisye kukwenu gaŵe gangali chindu.

For this cause I also, when I could no longer forbear, sent that I might know your faith, lest by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labour should be in vain.

6 Nambo sambano che Timoseo ausile kukwetu kutyochela kukwenu, nombejo atusalile ngani sya kusengwasya sya chikulupi ni unonyelo wenu. Atusalile kuti nkutukumbuchilanga moŵa gose, ni kuti nkulajila kutuwona mpela ila nowe ŵakwe itukuti kulajila kumbona.

But when Timothy came even now unto us from you, and brought us glad tidings of your faith and love, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, even as we also [to see] you;

7 Kwa yeleyo achalongo achinjetu, mkusauka kwetu ni malagasyo gatukugapata tukutulaswa ntima nomwe kwa kupilikana nkati chikulupi chenu.

for this cause, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith:

8 Pakuŵa sambano tukwete umi, kwa kummona ŵanyamwe ndi chiimilile nkutama kwa kulumbikana kwenu ni Ambuje.

for now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

9 Sambano tukukombola kwatogolela Akunnungu kwa ligongo lyenu, malinga ni lukondwa lwatukwete paujo pao kwa ligongo lyenu.

For what thanksgiving can we render again unto God for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

10 Muusi ni chilo tukwapopelela Akunnungu kwa kuchalila nnope kuti tukole lipesa lya kuonegana sooni kuti tumpe chachilichose chachipungwiche mu chikulupi chenu.

night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face, and may perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

11 Nipele tukwapopelela Akunnungu ŵaali Atati ŵetu ni Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu atukolochesye litala lya kwika kukwenu.

Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way unto you:

12 Ambuje anjonjechesye ni kunchuluchisya unonyelo wa jwine ni jwine ni kwanonyela ŵandu wose mpela itukuti kunnonyela ŵanyamwe.

and the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we also [do] toward you;

13 Kwayele Akunnungu anlimbisye mitima jenu ni ŵanyamwe ngamma ni chileŵo ni chimme ŵaswela paujo pa Akunnungu ŵaali Atati ŵetu pachauje Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu pamo ni ŵandu ŵao wose.

to the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
