1 Une che Paolo ni che Siluwano ni che Timoseo, tukunnembela ŵanyamwe mpingo wa ŵandu ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito wa kwele ku Sesalonike ŵandi ŵandu ŵakwe Akunnungu Atati ni Ambuje ŵetu che Yesu Kilisito. Tukummendela ntuuka ni chitendewele kutyochela kwa Akunnungu.
Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace.
2 Tukwatogolela Akunnungu moŵa gose kwa ligongo lyenu wose ni kunkumbuchilanga mmapopelo getu pangapela.
We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention [of you] in our prayers;
3 Pakuŵa paujo pa Akunnungu Atati ŵetu tukukumbuchila inkuti pakutumichila kwa chikulupi ni inkuti pakulisausya ni masengo ligongo lya unonyelo wenu. Iyoyo tukukumbuchila ichitite kulimbichika chilolelo chenu kwa Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu Kilisito.
remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labour of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;
4 Achalongo achinjetu ŵakunonyelwa ni Akunnungu, tukumanyilila kuti ŵelewo ansagwile mme ŵandu ŵakwe.
knowing, brethren beloved of God, your election,
5 Pakuŵa patwalalichile Ngani Jambone kukwenu nganitulalichila kwa maloŵe pe, nambo kwa machili ni ukamuchisyo wa Mbumu jwa Akunnungu tuchimanyililaga kuti utenga wo uli wa usyene. Nkumanyilila itwatite kutama pamo ni ŵanyamwe, twatemi yambone kwa kunkamuchisya ŵanyamwe.
how that our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and [in] much assurance; even as ye know what manner of men we shewed ourselves toward you for your sake.
6 Ŵanyamwe mwatusyasisye uweji ni mwasyasisye Ambuje. Namuno mwalageswe kwannope mwalipochele Liloŵe lya Akunnungu kwa lukondwa lwalukutyochela mu Mbumu jwa Akunnungu.
And ye became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost;
7 Kwa litala li ŵanyamwe mwatendekwe chisyasyo kwa ŵakukulupilila wose ŵa ku Makedonia ni ku Akaya nombe nako.
so that ye became an ensample to all that believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.
8 Pakuŵa kutyochela kukwenu lisonile liloŵe lya Ambuje, ngaŵa pa Makedonia ni pa Akaya pe, nambo posepose ngani ja chikulupi chenu kwa Akunnungu chijenele. Kwa pele uweji nganitukola chindu chakusala.
For from you hath sounded forth the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith to God-ward is gone forth; so that we need not to speak anything.
9 Achinsyene wo akuŵalanga ngani ja ulendo wetu patwanjimajimile, intite pakutupochela ni intite kuileka inyago ni intite pakwagalauchila Akunnungu. Mwatesile yeleyo kuti mwatumichile Akunnungu ŵajumi ni ŵausyene.
For they themselves report concerning us what manner of entering in we had unto you; and how ye turned unto God from idols, to serve a living and true God,
10 Sambano nkunlindilila Mwanagwe juchatuluche kutyochela kwinani, yaani Che Yesu juŵansyusisye mu ŵawe, nombewo ni ŵakutukulupusya mlutumbilo lwa Akunnungu lwalukwika.
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, [even] Jesus, which delivereth us from the wrath to come.
