1 Ŵakolinto 4
1 Mundu atuŵalanje kuti tuli achikatumetume ŵa Kilisito ŵatupegwilwe masengo ga kwalalichila ŵandu mitemela ja Akunnungu.
Let a man so account of us, as of ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 Pelepo kwa jwalijose jwapegwilwe masengo go ikusachilwa aŵeje jwakukulupichika.
Here, moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
3 Nambo kwa une ngaŵa chindu, nalamulikwaga ni ŵanyamwe pane ni mundu jwalijose, ni une ngangulilamula nansyene.
But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
4 Mu ntima mwangu ngangulamulikwa ni chindu chachilichose, nambo chindu cho ngachikulosya kuti nganingola chileŵo, Ambuje ni ŵakunamula une.
For I know nothing against myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
5 Nombe mwanya ngasinlamula liloŵe kakanaŵe kwika katema kakwe, nneche mpaka pachaiche Ambuje. Ŵelewo chaiunukule indu yesisiche mu chipi ni kuŵika palulanga nganisyo sya mitima ja ŵandu. Nipele kila mundu chapochele ulape wakwe kutyochela kwa Akunnungu.
Wherefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each man have his praise from God.
6 Achalongo achinjangu, mechete yankati che Apolo ni une, kuti kwalitala lya uweji nlijiganye chiŵecheto chi, “Nkamulichisye maloŵe ga.” Kuti mwa ŵanyamwe akapagwa mundu jwalijose jwakulilapila mundu ju ni kunnyelusya mundu jwine.
Now these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes; that in us ye might learn not [to go] beyond the things which are written; that no one of you be puffed up for the one against the other.
7 Ŵaani ŵansagwile mmwe mme jwakwapunda ŵane? Ana ngaŵa Akunnungu ŵampele indu yose inkwete? Iŵaga mpegwilwe kwachichi nkulifuna mpela ila ngaŵa yakupegwa?
For who maketh thee to differ? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? but if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
8 Sambano mmasile kupata yose yaikunsoŵa! Sambano nsichile. Mmele mamwenye pangali uweji! Mbaya nkaliji mamwenye kuti nowe ŵakwe tuŵe mamwenye pamo nomwe.
Already are ye filled, already ye are become rich, ye have reigned without us: yea and I would that ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.
9 Ikuloleka kukwangu kuti Akunnungu atuŵisile uweji achinduna nti ŵambesi ŵa wosepe, mpela ŵandu ŵalamulikwe kuulagwa paujo pa ŵandu, tuŵele chindu chakusekasya paujo pa chilambo ni mmbujo mwa achikatumetume ŵa kwinani ni mmbujo mwa ŵandu.
For, I think, God hath set forth us the apostles last of all, as men doomed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
10 Tuli ŵakuloŵela kwa liwamba lya kwatumichila Kilisito, nambo ŵanyamwe nli ŵa lunda mu kulumbikana ni Kilisito! Uwe tuli ŵakulepetala nambo ŵanyamwe nkwete machili, ŵanyamwe nkuchimbichikwa nambo uwe tukwaluka.
We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye have glory, but we have dishonour.
11 Namuno sambano tukwete sala ni njota ni usauchi, tukuputikwa nnope ni nganitukola pakutama.
Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place;
12 Tukulaga kupanganya masengo ni makono getu twachinsyene. Paakutulwesya uweji tukwapa upile, pakutusausya tukupililila,
and we toil, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;
13 paakututukana uweji tukwajanga kwa kwachimbichisya. Namuno sambano tukuoneka mpela usakwa wa pachilambo, ni kila mundu akutulola mpela ŵapugwe.
being defamed, we entreat: we are made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things, even until now.
14 Ngangulemba yelei kuti nantesye soni nambo ngunjiganya mpela achiŵanangu ŵakunonyelwa.
I write not these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.
15 Namose nkwete ŵakunnela achajinji nkulumbikana ni Kilisito nambo nganinkola achatati ŵajinji. Pakuŵa mu kulumbikana ni Kilisito une mele atati ŵenu kwakunlalichila Ngani Jambone.
For though ye should have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet [have ye] not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I begat you through the gospel.
16 Nipele ngunchondelela ntende mpela ingutendaga une.
I beseech you therefore, be ye imitators of me.
17 Kwaligongo li nguntuma che Timoseo kukwenu, mwanangu jwakunonyelwa ni jwakukulupilichika nkulumbikana ni Ambuje. Ŵelewo chankumbusye litala lyangukuya une nkulumbikana ni Kilisito. Litala lingwiganya papali pose mmipingo ja ŵandu wose ŵakunkulupilila Kilisito.
For this cause have I sent unto you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who shall put you in remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, even as I teach everywhere in every church.
18 Ŵane mwa ŵanyamwe atandite kulifuna achiganisyaga kuti nganyika sooni kukwenu.
Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you.
19 Nambo chiiche kukwenu chitema pe Ambuje asakaga, nipele chinaiwone nansyene ngaŵa maloŵe gao gakulifuna pe nambo ni machili galinago ŵele ŵakulifuna.
But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will; and I will know, not the word of them which are puffed up, but the power.
20 Pakuŵa umwenye wa Akunnungu ngaŵa kwa kusala pe nambo mu machili.
For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
21 Chichi chachikunnonyela? Iche kukwenu ndili ni lubokola, pane iche ni ntima wa unonyelo ni wakulitimalika?
What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of meekness?
