申命记 25
1 “人若有争讼，来听审判，审判官就要定义人有理，定恶人有罪。
If there is a controversy between men, and they come to judgment, and the judges judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked;
2 恶人若该受责打，审判官就要叫他当面伏在地上，按着他的罪照数责打。
and it shall be if the wicked man deserves to be beaten, that the judge shall make him lie down and be beaten in his presence with a number of stripes, according to his guilt.
3 只可打他四十下，不可过数；若过数，便是轻贱你的弟兄了。
He may give him forty stripes and no more. Otherwise, if he should go on and beat him with more stripes than these, your brother will be humiliated in your eyes.
4 “牛在场上踹谷的时候，不可笼住它的嘴。”
You shall not muzzle the ox when he treads out the grain.
5 “弟兄同居，若死了一个，没有儿子，死人的妻不可出嫁外人，她丈夫的兄弟当尽弟兄的本分，娶她为妻，与她同房。
If brothers dwell together, and one of them die, and have no son, the wife of the dead shall not be married outside to a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in to her, and take her to him as wife, and perform the duty of a husband's brother to her.
6 妇人生的长子必归死兄的名下，免得他的名在以色列中涂抹了。
It shall be, that the firstborn whom she bears shall succeed in the name of his brother who is dead, that his name not be blotted out of Israel.
7 那人若不愿意娶她哥哥的妻，他哥哥的妻就要到城门长老那里，说：‘我丈夫的兄弟不肯在以色列中兴起他哥哥的名字，不给我尽弟兄的本分。’
If the man doesn't want to take his brother's wife, then his brother's wife shall go up to the gate to the elders, and say, "My husband's brother refuses to raise up to his brother a name in Israel; he will not perform the duty of a husband's brother to me."
8 本城的长老就要召那人来问他，他若执意说：‘我不愿意娶她’，
Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak to him: and if he stand, and say, "I do not want to take her";
9 他哥哥的妻就要当着长老到那人的跟前，脱了他的鞋，吐唾沫在他脸上，说：‘凡不为哥哥建立家室的都要这样待他。’
then his brother's wife shall come to him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face; and she shall answer and say, "So shall it be done to the man who does not build up his brother's house."
10 在以色列中，他的名必称为脱鞋之家。”
His name shall be called in Israel, The house of him who has his shoe untied.
11 “若有二人争斗，这人的妻近前来，要救她丈夫脱离那打她丈夫之人的手，抓住那人的下体，
When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draws near to deliver her husband out of the hand of him who strikes him, and puts forth her hand, and takes him by the private parts;
12 就要砍断妇人的手，眼不可顾惜她。
then you shall cut off her hand, your eye shall have no pity.
13 “你囊中不可有一大一小两样的法码。
You shall not have in your bag diverse weights, a great and a small.
14 你家里不可有一大一小两样的升斗。
You shall not have in your house diverse measures, a great and a small.
15 当用对准公平的法码，公平的升斗。这样，在耶和华—你 神所赐你的地上，你的日子就可以长久。
You shall have a perfect and just weight. You shall have a perfect and just measure, that your days may be long in the land which YHWH your God gives you.
16 因为行非义之事的人都是耶和华—你 神所憎恶的。”
For all who do such things, all who do unrighteously, are an abomination to YHWH your God.
17 “你要记念你们出埃及的时候，亚玛力人在路上怎样待你。
Remember what Amalek did to you by the way as you came forth out of Egypt;
18 他们在路上遇见你，趁你疲乏困倦击杀你尽后边软弱的人，并不敬畏 神。
how he met you by the way, and struck the hindmost of you, all who lagged behind you, when you were faint and weary; and he did not fear God.
19 所以耶和华—你 神使你不被四围一切的仇敌扰乱，在耶和华—你 神赐你为业的地上得享平安。那时，你要将亚玛力的名号从天下涂抹了，不可忘记。”
Therefore it shall be, when YHWH your God has given you rest from all your enemies all around, in the land which YHWH your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it, that you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under the sky; you shall not forget.
