撒母耳记上 19
1 扫罗对他儿子约拿单和众臣仆说，要杀大卫；扫罗的儿子约拿单却甚喜爱大卫。
Saul spoke to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David. But Jonathan, Saul's son, delighted much in David.
2 约拿单告诉大卫说：“我父扫罗想要杀你，所以明日早晨你要小心，到一个僻静地方藏身。
Jonathan told David, saying, "Saul my father seeks to kill you. Now therefore, please take care of yourself in the morning, and keep hidden in a secret place.
3 我就出到你所藏的田里，站在我父亲旁边与他谈论。我看他情形怎样，我必告诉你。”
I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where you are, and I will talk with my father about you; and if I see anything, I will tell you."
4 约拿单向他父亲扫罗替大卫说好话，说：“王不可得罪王的仆人大卫；因为他未曾得罪你，他所行的都与你大有益处。
Jonathan spoke good of David to Saul his father, and said to him, "Do not let the king sin against his servant, against David; because he has not sinned against you, and because his works have been very good toward you;
5 他拚命杀那非利士人，耶和华为以色列众人大行拯救；那时你看见，甚是欢喜，现在为何无故要杀大卫，流无辜人的血，自己取罪呢？”
for he put his life in his hand, and struck the Philistine, and the LORD worked a great victory for all Israel. You saw it, and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood, to kill David without a cause?"
6 扫罗听了约拿单的话，就指着永生的耶和华起誓说：“我必不杀他。”
Saul listened to the voice of Jonathan: and Saul swore, "As the LORD lives, he shall not be put to death."
7 约拿单叫大卫来，把这一切事告诉他，带他去见扫罗。他就仍然侍立在扫罗面前。
Jonathan called David, and Jonathan showed him all those things. Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as before.
8 此后又有争战的事。大卫出去与非利士人打仗，大大杀败他们，他们就在他面前逃跑。
There was war again. David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and killed them with a great slaughter; and they fled before him.
9 从耶和华那里来的恶魔又降在扫罗身上（扫罗手里拿枪坐在屋里），大卫就用手弹琴。
An evil spirit from the LORD was on Saul, as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand; and David was playing with his hand.
10 扫罗用枪想要刺透大卫，钉在墙上，他却躲开，扫罗的枪刺入墙内。当夜大卫逃走，躲避了。
Saul sought to pin David even to the wall with the spear; but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he stuck the spear into the wall. David fled, and escaped that night.
11 扫罗打发人到大卫的房屋那里窥探他，要等到天亮杀他。大卫的妻米甲对他说：“你今夜若不逃命，明日你要被杀。”
Saul sent messengers to David's house, to watch him, and to kill him in the morning. Mikal, David's wife, told him, saying, "If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed."
12 于是米甲将大卫从窗户里缒下去，大卫就逃走，躲避了。
So Mikal let David down through the window. He went, fled, and escaped.
13 米甲把家中的神像放在床上，头枕在山羊毛装的枕头上，用被遮盖。
Mikal took the teraphim, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats' hair at its head, and covered it with the clothes.
14 扫罗打发人去捉拿大卫，米甲说：“他病了。”
When Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, "He is sick."
15 扫罗又打发人去看大卫，说：“当连床将他抬来，我好杀他。”
Saul sent the messengers to see David, saying, "Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may kill him."
16 使者进去，看见床上有神像，头枕在山羊毛装的枕头上。
When the messengers came in, look, the teraphim was in the bed, with the pillow of goats' hair at its head.
17 扫罗对米甲说：“你为什么这样欺哄我，放我仇敌逃走呢？”米甲回答说：“他对我说：‘你放我走，不然我要杀你。’”
Saul said to Mikal, "Why have you deceived me thus, and let my enemy go, so that he is escaped?" Mikal answered Saul, "He said to me, 'Let me go. Why should I kill you?'"
18 大卫逃避，来到拉玛见撒母耳，将扫罗向他所行的事述说了一遍。他和撒母耳就往拿约去居住。
Now David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and lived in the dwellings.
19 有人告诉扫罗，说大卫在拉玛的拿约。
And it was told to Saul, saying, "Look, David is in the dwellings at Ramah."
20 扫罗打发人去捉拿大卫。去的人见有一班先知都受感说话，撒母耳站在其中监管他们；打发去的人也受 神的灵感动说话。
And Saul sent messengers to capture David. But when they saw a company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
21 有人将这事告诉扫罗，他又打发人去，他们也受感说话。扫罗第三次打发人去，他们也受感说话。
When it was told to Saul, he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied. Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they also prophesied.
22 然后扫罗自己往拉玛去，到了西沽的大井，问人说：“撒母耳和大卫在哪里呢？”有人说：“在拉玛的拿约。”
And Saul became very angry, and he himself also went to Ramah, and came to the cistern of the threshing floor that is on the bare hill. And he asked, "Where are Samuel and David?" And one said, "Look, they are in the dwellings at Ramah."
23 他就往拉玛的拿约去。 神的灵也感动他，一面走一面说话，直到拉玛的拿约。
So he went there to the dwellings at Ramah. Then the Spirit of God came on him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to the dwellings in Ramah.
24 他就脱了衣服，在撒母耳面前受感说话，一昼一夜露体躺卧。因此有句俗语说：“扫罗也列在先知中吗？”
He also stripped off his clothes, and he also prophesied before Samuel, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, "Is Saul also among the prophets?"
