帖撒羅尼迦後書 1
1 保祿和息爾瓦諾及弟茂德，致書給在天主我們的父及耶穌基督內的德撒洛尼人的教會。
Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the Assembly of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 願恩寵與平安，由天主父和主耶穌基督賜與你們!
Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 弟兄們，我們常該為你們感謝天主，這真是相稱的，你們的信德大有進步，你們眾人的間彼此的愛德更為增進，
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
4 以致我們可在天主的各教會中，為你們誇口，因為你們在所受的一切迫害和磨難中，仍保持了焣忍和信德。
So that we ourselves glory in you in the Assemblies of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5 這正是天主公義審判的明證，好使你們堪得天主的國，你們也正是為這國才受了苦難。
Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
6 既然天主是公義的，必要以苦難報復難為你們的人，
Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
7 卻嘗你們受難為的人，同我們一起安寧；主耶穌由天上偕同衪大能的天使出現時，
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 要在火焰中報復雖然不認識天主，和不聽從我們的主耶穌福音的人。
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (aiōnios g166)
10 當衪在一日降來的時候，要在衪的聖徒身上受光榮，在一切信眾身上受讚美。你們也在其中，因為你們確信了我們的證言。
When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe ( because our testimony among you was believed ) in that day.
11 為此，我們也為你們，求我們的天主使你們相稱衪的召叫；求衪以德能，成全你們各種樂意向善的心，和信德的行為，
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
12 好使我們的主耶穌基督的恩寵受光榮。
That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
