以弗所书 3
1 我——保罗，为了你们这些异族人而成为耶稣基督的囚犯，这里将讲述我如何
For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you the nations,
2 （我想你们可能听说过，上帝已经赋予我责任，要我与你们分享上帝的恩典），
if, indeed, you heard of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to me in regard to you,
3 通过上帝向我显示的一切，将以往隐藏的奥秘清楚展露。之前我曾简短地写过这件事，
that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few [words]—
4 当你阅读本函，就能够了解我对基督奥秘的洞察。
in regard to which you are able, reading [it], to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ,
5 过去的世代没有人清楚这一点，但现在灵已经向上帝的圣使徒和先知做了启示，
which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit—
6 证明异族人是共同的继承人，属于同一个身体，通过基督耶稣和福音分享上帝的承诺。
that the nations are fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news,
7 上帝的恩典使我成为福音的传道者，我之所以能这么做，是上帝能力所赐予我的。
of which I became a servant, according to the gift of the grace of God that was given to me, according to the working of His power;
8 在所有基督徒中，我是最微不足道的一位。但这恩典赐给了我，只为了与异族人分享基督那不可思议的非凡价值，
to me—the less than the least of all the holy ones—was given this grace, among the nations to proclaim good news—the untraceable riches of the Christ,
and to cause all to see what [is] the fellowship of the secret that has been hid from the ages in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ, (aiōn g165)
10 通过教会，上帝要向天堂的统治者和掌权者展示他在所有方面的智慧。
that there might be made known now to the principalities and the authorities in the heavenly [places], through the Assembly, the manifold wisdom of God,
according to a purpose of the ages, which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord, (aiōn g165)
12 因为他以及我们对他的信任，我们就能完全自由和自信地来到上帝面前。
in whom we have the freedom and the access in confidence through the faith of Him,
13 所以我希望你们不要因为我的痛苦而沮丧——这是为了你们，你们应该珍惜它！
for this reason, I ask [you] not to faint in my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14 这就是为什么我跪在天父面前的原因。
For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 因为天上地上的每个家庭，其天性和品格都来自天父。
of whom the whole family in the heavens and on earth is named,
16 我跪求从他丰饶的荣耀、通过他的灵，用他的能力强化你们内心深处的力量。
that He may give to you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened through His Spirit with might, in regard to the inner man,
17 愿基督于你们同在，因为你们相信他。当你们深植于爱之中，
that the Christ may dwell through the faith in your hearts, having been rooted and founded in love,
18 就有能力与所有上帝的子民一起，理解基督之爱的长度、广度、高度和深度。
that you may be in strength to comprehend, with all the holy ones, what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,
19 愿你们知晓基督超越知识的爱，让你们因上帝的丰饶而圆满完全。
to know also the love of the Christ that is exceeding the knowledge, that you may be filled—to all the fullness of God;
20 通过上帝影响我们的力量，愿他给予我们的，远超过我们所求、甚至我们所想的，
and to Him who is able to do exceedingly [and] abundantly above all things that we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us,
