1 Kathutkung: Panuekhoeh, tami tangawn ni Hezekiah a ti awh Ka nawca hoiyah ahnimouh ni na rektap awh, telah Isarelnaw ni tet awh naseh.

A Song of degrees. Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

2 Ka nawca hoiyah ahnimouh ni kai teh, na rektap awh. Hatei, na tâ awh hoeh.

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

3 Ka hnukthun vah talai thawn e patetlah a thawn awh teh, laikong kasawlah a sak awh.

The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

4 Hatei, BAWIPA teh a lan. Ahni ni tamikaponaw e tangronnaw teh, thouk thouk a bouk pouh.

The LORD [is] righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

5 Zion kahmuhmanaw pueng teh, kayak awh naseh, hnuklah ban awh naseh.

Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

6 Ahnimouh teh, a kung a len hoehnahlan remke e lemphu e phokung patetlah awm awh naseh.

Let them be as the grass [upon] the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

7 Hote pho teh, kaanaw hanelah, kut kasum khuem hai phat hoeh. Ka tangoungnaw hanelah, tapam khuem hai phat hoeh.

Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

8 Ka cet kaawm pueng nihai, BAWIPA e yawhawi teh nangmouh koe awm lawiseh. Kaimouh ni BAWIPA min lahoi nangmouh yawhawi na poe awh telah a dei awh mahoeh.

Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD [be] upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
