< Luk 9 >

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

11 Hote taminaw teh Bawipa ni a kâbang sak teh, Cathut uknaeram kong a pâpho pouh. Kapatawnaw haiyah a dam sak.
And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spoke to them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said to him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.
13 Hatei Bawipa ni canei hane nangmouh ni poe awh atipouh. Ahnimanaw ni hai hete taminaw abuemlah hanelah canei hane ka ran awh hoehpawiteh kaimouh koevah vaiyei panga touh hoi tanga kahni touh dueng doeh ka tawn awh, atipouh.

14 Hottelah atipouh ngainae teh, tami thong panga tabang a pha awh. Hatnavah taminaw 50 touh hoi pâkhueng nateh tahung sak awh, atipouh.
For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.

And they did so, and made them all sit down.

He said to them, But whom say you that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

24 Apihaiyah mae hringnae ka rungngang e tami teh hringnae a sung han. Apihaiyah Kai kecu dawk hringnae ka sung e tami teh a hringnae a rungngang han.
For whoever will save his life shall lose it: but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
28 Hottelah a dei hnukkhu hnin taroe touh a pha navah Jisuh ni Piter, Jawhan, Jem a kaw teh ratoum hanelah mon dawk a luen awh.
And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
29 Ratoum awh lahun nah, a minhmai aloukcalah a kâthung teh, angki hai pangawpekyek lah ao.
And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
30 Hatnavah tami kahni touh hoi Bawipa teh lawk a kâpan, ahnimouh roi teh Mosi hoi Elijah doeh.
And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
31 Ahnimouh teh bawilennae hoi a tho awh teh, Jerusalem vah kakuep han toung e Bawipa a due nahane kong hah a kâpankhai awh.
Who appeared in glory, and spoke of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
32 Piter hoi a huinaw teh ihmu ni a paya awh teh mat a ngam awh. Ayawng vak awh navah, bawilennae hoi Bawipa hoi cungtalah kangdout e tami roi a hmu awh.
But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
33 Hote tami roi Bawipa koehoi a cei navah Piter ni, Bawipa hete hmuen koe o hanelah ahawipoung. Bawipa, nang hanelah rim buet touh, Mosi hanelah buet touh, Elijah hanelah buet touh ka sak awh vai telah muipap lahoi a dei pouh.
And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
34 Telah a pacei hnukkhu, tâmai ni ahnimanaw teh a kayo. Mosi hoi Elijah teh tâmai thung a kâen navah, hnukkâbangnaw ni a taki awh.
While he thus spoke, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
35 Tâmai dawk hoi lawk ka tho e teh hete tami teh ka lungkuep e ka Capa doeh, ahnie lawk tarawi awh.
And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.
37 Atangtho hnin dawk mon hoi bout a kum awh navah taminaw ni Bawipa teh a dawn awh.
And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.
38 Tamihupui thung hoi tami buet touh ni kaie ka ca khen ei telah a kâhei. Ka capa buet touh dueng doeh ka tawn.
And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech you, look on my son: for he is my only child.
39 Kahrai ni a man teh, pouk laipalah a hramki, a sawn sak teh kâko dawk hoi potamtui a tâco teh, a tak dawk reithainae a poe hnukkhu tâco hane a ru poung.
And, see, a spirit takes him, and he suddenly cries out; and it tears him that he foams again, and bruising him hardly departs from him.
40 Hote kahrai pâlei hanelah hnukkâbangnaw koe ka dei pouh eiteh, ahnimanaw ni pâlei thai awh hoeh telah hramki laihoi atipouh.
And I sought your disciples to cast him out; and they could not.

And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring your son here.

And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
43 Taminaw pueng ni Cathut e taluenae a hmu navah a kângairu awh.
And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said to his disciples,

Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.
45 Hote lawk a dei ngainae hah, a hnukkâbangnaw hanelah a hro pouh dawkvah panuek thai awh hoeh. Hote lawk bout pacei ngam awh hoeh.
But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.
46 Hatnavah a hnukkâbangnaw ni apimaw bet ka taluehnawn telah buet touh hoi buet touh a kâounkhai awh.
Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.

And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,

And said to them, Whoever shall receive this child in my name receives me: and whoever shall receive me receives him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

And Jesus said to him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
