< Luk 15 >

1 Tamuk kacawngnaw hoi tamikayonnaw ni Bawipa e cangkhainae thai hanelah ama koe a tho awh.
Then drew near to him all the tax collectors and sinners to hear him.
2 Farasi hoi cakathutkungnaw niyah hete tami teh tamikayonnaw hoi rei a o, ahnimouh hoi cungtalah bu rei a ca telah yon a pen awh.
And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
3 Hatnavah bangnuenae lawk a dei e teh nangmouh dawk tami buetbuet touh ni tu cum touh a tawn.
And he spoke this parable to them, saying,
4 Hotnaw thung dawk e tu buet touh kahmat pawiteh 99 touh e tunaw hah kahrawngum a ta vaiteh kahmat e tu buet touh a hmu hoeh roukrak a cei teh tawng laipalah ao han maw.
What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he loseth one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he findeth it?
5 A hmu torei teh a lunghawi teh a loung dawk a thueng teh,
And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 Hot patetlah pankângai han ka tawn hoeh e tami 99 touh hlakvah pankângai e tamikayon buet touh koe kalvan vah a lunghawinae bet ao hnawn telah a ti.
I say to you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.
8 Hottelah napui buet touh ni phoisa phek hra touh a tawn. Phek touh kahmat pawiteh hmai paang vaiteh a hmu hoeh roukrak imthungkhu imka pâthoun vaiteh kahawicalah tawng laipalah ao han maw.
Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she loseth one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she findeth it?
9 A hmu torei teh a huikonaw hoi imrinaw a kaw vaiteh kahmat e phoisa bout ka hmu toe, cungtalah konawm khai awh haw telah ati han.
And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Hot patetvanlah, Cathut e kalvantaminaw ni pankângai e tamikayon buet touh dawkvah lunghawinae a tawn awh, telah atipouh.
Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
11 Bout a dei e teh tami buet touh ni ca tongpa kahni touh a tawn,
And he said, A certain man had two sons:
12 A ca cahnoung ni a na pa koe a cei teh apa, ka hmu hane kawi râw na kapek pouh leih telah a kâhei teh a na pa ni hnopainaw pueng a kapek teh a poe.
And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided to them his living.

And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14 A tawn e hnopai koung a pâbaw hnukkhu hote ram dawk takang puenghoi a tho teh puenghoi roedengnae koe a pha.
And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15 Hatdawkvah hote ram dawk tami buet touh koe o hanelah a cei teh hote tami ni vok ring hanelah a patoun.
And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 Ahni teh vok rawca patenghai ca hane ngai totouh a vonhlam, hatei apinihai rawca banghai poe awh hoeh.
And he was longing to fill his belly with the husks that the swine ate: and no man gave to him.
17 Hatnavah a lung vuk a ang teh apa im vah aphu hmu hanelah hoi a ta e a sannaw ni boeba hai cat laipalah ca hane a tawn, kai teh hivah vonhlam hoi ka o.
And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father have bread enough and to spare, and I am perishing with hunger!
18 Ka thaw vaiteh apa koe ka cei han. Apa, kai ni kalvan hoi na hmaitung vah ka yon toe.
I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
19 Na ca ti hanelah ka kamcu hoeh. Na san buet touh lah o hanelah na tat lawih ka ti han a ti.
And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20 Hatdawkvah, a na pa koe ban hanelah a kamthaw. Lam ahlapoungnae koe a tho e a na pa ni a hmu navah a pahren dawk a yawng sin teh a takawi teh a paco.
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 A capa ni vah a Pa kalvan koe thoseh, na hmaitung thoseh, ka yon toe. Na ca ti han ka kamcu hoeh toe telah a ti.
And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 A na pa ni vah aphu kaawm poung e angki lat nateh kho sak awh, a kut dawk kuthrawt buen sak awh.
But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23 Khokkhawm hai khawm sak awh, hahoi Maito ca kathâwpoung e lat nateh thet awh, kanawm poung lah pawi sak awh sei.
And bring here the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
24 Bangkongtetpawiteh ka capa teh a due toe, hatei atu bout a hring. A kahma, hateiteh atu bout ka hmu toe ati. Hottelah hoi pawi teh a kamtawng awh.
For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
25 A capa kacue ni law hoi a ban teh im teng a pha navah ratoung tamawi lawk hoi lamtu e a thai.
Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing.
26 A san buet touh a kaw teh bangmaw na sak awh, telah a pacei.
And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
27 A san ni vah na nawngha ka dam lahoi im bout a tho dawkvah, na pa ni maito ca kathâw e a thei pouh telah atipouh. A capa kacue e teh a lungphuen teh im dawkvah kâen laipalah ao.
And he said to him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
28 A na pa ni capa kacue koe a cei teh kâen leih telah a pasawt.
And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore his father came out, and entreated him.
And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither have I at any time transgressed thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30 Ka kâyawt e napuinaw hoi kaawm ni teh na hnopai kaseikasak e na ca cahnoung, im bout a pha torei teh maito ca kathâw kathâw na thei pouh telah a ti.
But as soon as this thy son had come, who hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
31 A na pa ni, ka ca nang teh ka im vah yungyoe na o teh ka tawn e hnopueng nange hno lah ao.
And he said to him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
32 Hatei na nawngha teh a due eiteh, atu bout a hring. A kahma eiteh atu bout hmu toe. Hatdawkvah lunghawi khai hane roeroe lah ao telah a na pa ni atipouh.
It was right that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
