1 Kai ni kama e ramvengim dawk ka kangdue teh kalupnae tapang koe ka o, kai heh bangtelamaw na dei pouh han tie thoseh, yon na pen pawiteh bangtelamaw ka pathung han tie thoseh, ka ring teh ka o navah,
I will stand upon my watch, and mount upon the rock, and watch to see what he will say by me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
2 BAWIPA ni ka touk e taminaw ni yawng laihoi a touk thai awh nahan, pâpho e lawk hah calung dawk thut haw.
And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision, and [that] plainly on a tablet, that he that reads it may run.
3 Hote pâpho lawk teh atueng bawnae tue dei ngainae doeh. A laithout hoeh, tang ka tho hoeh nakunghai ngaihawi haw. A ro hoehnahlan a kuep mingming han.
For the vision [is] yet for a time, and it shall shoot forth at the end, and not in vain: though he should tarry, wait for him; for he will surely come, and will not tarry.
4 Pouknae karasang e tami teh a lungthin lan hoeh, tamikalan teh a yuemnae lahoi a hring han.
If he should draw back, my soul has no pleasure in him: but the just shall live by my faith.
5 Hothloilah misur, thouk ka net e tami teh lawkkam cak hoeh. Kâoup e tami teh amae hmuen koe awm thai laipalah, amae hounlounnae hah phuen patetlah akaw sak teh, duenae patetlah karoum thai hoeh e lungthin a tawn teh, khocaramca naw pueng hah a man teh, ama koe a kamkhueng sak. (Sheol h7585)
But the arrogant man and the scorner, the boastful man, shall not finish anything; who has enlarged his desire as the grave, and like death he is never satisfied, and he will gather to himself all the nations, and will receive to himself all the peoples. (Sheol h7585)
6 Hote taminaw ni pacekpahleknae lahoi banglahai noutna awh mahoeh. Ma e hnopai lah kaawm hoeh e ka lat e tami teh a yawthoe. Na totouh maw laiba hoi ao han vai, telah dei awh mahoeh namaw.
Shall not all these take up a parable against him? and a proverb to tell against him? and they shall say, Woe to him that multiplies to himself the possessions which are not his! how long? and who heavily loads his yoke.
7 Nang na ka kei e taminaw thaw awh vaiteh, ka tarawk e taminaw teh kâhlaw awh mahoeh maw. Nang teh ahnimouh ni lawp e tami lah na o awh han.
For suddenly there shall arise up those that bite him, and they that plot against thee shall awake, and thou shalt be a plunder to them.
8 Nang ni tami moikapap na lawp dawkvah kacawie taminaw ni nang teh na lawp awh han. Tami theinae yon, khocanaw pueng pacekpahleknae yon kecu dawk nang na pathung han.
Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the nations that are left shall spoil [thee], because of the blood of men, and the sins of the land and city, and of all that dwell in it.
9 Arasangnae koe tabu ka tuk ni teh rucatnae dawk hoi a taminaw hlout nahanelah ka tawng e tami teh a yawthoe.
Woe to him that covets an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evils.
10 Nang ni taminaw na thei e lahoi mae miphunnaw kaya sak hanelah kho na pouk dawkvah na hringnae na payon toe.
Thou hast devised shame to thy house, thou hast utterly destroyed many nations, and thy soul has sinned.
11 Atangcalah tapang lah thung e talung buet touh ni a hram teh, pangkhek ni thingnaw thung hoi a pato.
For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beetle out of the timber shall speak.
12 Tami thei e lahoi kho ka thawng e tami, hnokahawihoeh e sak e laihoi khopui ka caksak e tami teh a yawthoe awh.
Woe to him that builds a city with blood, and establishes a city by unrighteousness.
13 Taminaw ni tha patung laihoi a tawk awh e pueng teh, ayawmyin lah na coung sak awh teh, a sak awh e pueng teh hmai hoi na sawi awh, hettelah katetkung teh ransahu BAWIPA ama doeh.
Are not these things of the Lord Almighty? surely many people have been exhausted in the fire, and many nations have fainted.
14 Bangkongtetpawiteh, tuipui ni a onae hmuen koung a licung e patetlah talai taminaw ni BAWIPA bawilennae hah panuethainae hoi akawi awh han.
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord; it shall cover them as water.
15 Imri hah caici lah ao teh kaya sak nahanlah yamu ka pânei e tami teh a yawthoe.
Woe to him that gives his neighbour to drink the thick lees [of wine], and intoxicates [him], that he may look upon their secret parts.
16 Hatdawkvah nang teh minhmai mathoenae hoi, kayanae hoi na boum han. Nama hai yamu na net vaiteh caici lah na o han. Cathut e aranglae kut dawk kaawm e manang teh nang koe phat vaiteh, panuettho e palonae ni na bawilennae teh a ramuk han.
Drink thou also [thy] fill of disgrace instead of glory: shake, O heart, and quake, the cup of the right hand of the Lord has come round upon thee, and dishonour has gathered upon thy glory.
17 Lebanon mon pacekpahleknae yon, saringnaw hah taki ka tho e hnonaw hoi raphoenae yon ni nang teh na ramuk han. Tami theinae yon hoi khocanaw pueng pacekpahleknae yon teh ao.
For the ungodliness of Libanus shall cover thee, and distress because of wild beasts shall dismay thee, because of the blood of men, and the sins of the land and city, and of all that dwell in it.
18 Meikaphawk ni bang hawinae maw na poe teh kasakkung ni khuet a sak vaw. Meikaphawk hoi kacangkhaikung kaphawk naw ni ahawinae bangmaw na poe teh, kasakkung ni a sak e a kâuepkhai teh a lawk ka a e meikaphawk hah khuet a sak vaw.
What profit it the graven image, that they have graven it? [one] has made it a molten work, a false image; for the maker has trusted in his work, to make dumb idols.
19 Thingphek hah kâhlaw haw, talung hah thaw haw telah ka tet e tami teh a yawthoe. Hote hno ni na cangkhai han na maw Sui, ngun hoi pathoup eiteh athung hringnae tawn hoeh.
Woe to him that says to the wood, Awake, arise; and to the stone, Be thou exalted! whereas it is an image, and this is a casting of gold and silver, and there is no breath in it.
20 Cathut teh bawkim kathoung dawk ao dawkvah, a hmalah taminaw pueng lungmawng lahoi awm awh haw.
But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth fear before him.
