1 Tun hiche Bethlehem ahin mihaotah leh mithuneitah khat amin Boaz kitipa chu ana ummin amachu Naomi jipa Elimelech sopi anahi.
And [belonged] to Naomi (a relative *QK) of husband her a man mighty of wealth from [the] clan of Elimelech and name his [was] Boaz.
2 Nikhat hi Moab numeinu Ruth chun Naomi kommah, “Keima hi neisollin lang chang-at ho lah a che ing kating, koi hijong leh khotona einei poupou kom’ah changkhai gahol tange,” ati. Hichun Naomi chun ajah a “Chanu, che jeng in,” ati.
And she said Ruth the Moabite [woman] to Naomi let me go please the field so I may glean among the ears of grain behind [the one] whom I will find favor in eyes his and she said to her go O daughter my.
3 Hitichun Ruth chu akipatdoh in chang-at ho nung langa chun achen, changkhai ho chu achom pan tan ahi. Hitia changkhai achomna loilai chu atehpu Elimelech sopipa Boaz loulai ana hikha in ahi.
And she went and she came and she gleaned in the field behind the harvesters and it chanced on chance her [the] portion of the field of Boaz who [was] from [the] clan of Elimelech.
4 Hitia changkhai ana kichom laipet tah chun Boaz chu Bethlehem’a kon in ahung in “Pakaiyin naumpiu hen,” atin, amahon jong “Pakaiyin phatthei naboh hen” atiuve.
And there! Boaz [was] coming from Beth-lehem and he said to the harvesters Yahweh [be] with you and they said to him may he bless you Yahweh.
5 Hichun aman tohvaihompa kom’ah chun, “Hichea numei khangdong nukhu koiham? tia adoh leh,
And he said Boaz to servant his who was appointed over the harvesters [belongs] to whom? the young woman this.
6 Tohvaihompan ahin donbutnin, “Amanu khu Moab Numei Naomi toh hung kinungle khom numei chu ahi,” ati.
And he answered the servant who was appointed over the harvesters and he said [is] a young woman Moabite she who returned with Naomi from [the] region of Moab.
7 “Amanu hin tujingkah chun chang-at ho nung langa akhaiho hi kaki donkhom thei ding ham tin eina dongin ahi. Chomkhatcha jong touthim manlouvin anatoh ding toh nan akisalal lheh jeng e,” tin adonbut’in ahi.
And she said let me glean please and I will gather among the sheaves behind the harvesters and she came and she has stayed from then this morning and until now this sitting she the house little.
8 Hichun Boaz chu Ruth kommah chun achen ajah a, “Ngaijin kachanu, changkhai nakihol sung hin keiho kom’ah um jeng in, koima dang louva che hih in, kalouva natong numeiho nunga hin um jeng in,” ati.
And he said Boaz to Ruth ¿ not have you heard O daughter my may not you go to glean in a field another and also not you must pass on from this [field] and thus you will stay! with female servants my.
9 Achang at namun u melchih in lang chule anung’u jui jeng in, gollhang hohin nadeichatvei louna diuva keiman kagihsal ahitai. Nadang achah teng tuikulla konna agadop’u tuikhu don jeng in,” atipeh tan ahi.
Eyes your [be] on the field which they are harvesting! and you will go behind them ¿ not have I commanded the young men to not to touch you and you will be thirsty and you will go to the vessels and you will drink some of [that] which they will draw! the young men.
10 Ruth chun akengphang’a abohkhup jeng in hiti hin kipathu aseije, “Keima hila gam chommi kahin, i-atileh hibang lomma hi neikhoto hitam?” ati.
And she fell on face her and she bowed down [the] ground towards and she said to him why? have I found favor in eyes your to pay regard to me and I [am] a foreigner.
11 Boaz in adobutnin, “Ken nangma kahenai,” ati, “chujongle najipa athijouva nung’a nangin ichangeiya natehpi khohsahna neitah anahin jen hitam, chujong leh i-changeija nagam leiset anu leh napa nahin dalhah a gam chombeh miho lah a hi nahung chenkhompi jeng ham tijong kahei,
And he answered Boaz and he said to her certainly it has been told to me all that you have done with mother-in-law your after [the] death of husband your and you left father your and mother your and [the] land of kindred your and you came to a people which not you knew yesterday three days ago.
12 Alhaving noija nahung kipehlutna Israel Pakai Pathen chun nathilphabol hojeh hin phattheina lhingset’in phattheina nape tahen,” ati.
May he reward Yahweh deed[s] your and may it be wage[s] your complete from with Yahweh [the] God of Israel whom you have come to take refuge under wings his.
13 Ruth in “Hepu kachunga nalunglhaina um jingta hen, nana tongho lah a khat jeng jong kahilou vang'in, nang in khotona neitah in thu naseiyin neilhamon’e,” ati.
And she said I am finding favor in eyes your O lord my for you have comforted me and for you have spoken to [the] heart of maidservant your and I not I am like one of maidservants your.
14 Sun-an nehphatnin Boaz in amanu chu akouvin, “Hilanga hung in lang bu hung nen, nachang lhah chu lengpi thei twi lah'a hin sulut’in lang nen,” ati. Hitichun Ruth chu chang at holah’a chun atouvin ahileh, Boaz in anehding changlhah apen, amanjong aoiva set anen, aneh moh themkhat jong jong anei nalai in ahi.
And he said to her Boaz to [the] time of the meal approach here and you will eat some of the food and you will dip portion your in the vinegar and she sat down from [the] side of the harvesters and he held out to her roasted grain and she ate and she was satisfied and she had excess.
15 Ruth chu natonga akilekit phatnin, Boaz in agollhang ho chu thu apen, amanu hi jada hih un, nalah uva changvui chu kilo khomsah un,” ati.
And she arose to glean and he commanded Boaz servants his saying also between the sheaves she will glean and not you must humiliate her.
16 “Sakol changvui ho chu alomlah akon’in ladoh unlang amanun akiloding gunset in selhah peh jeng un, hichu kilhensah unlang sugenthei hih un,” ati.
And also indeed you will pull out for her some of the bundles of grain and you will leave [them] and she will glean and not you must rebuke her.
17 Hitichun Ruth in nilhum keijin chang chu akidon khommin achangho chu ajeplhah phatnin abong chu adimset tai.
And she gleaned in the field until the evening and she beat out [that] which she had gleaned and it was about an ephah barley.
18 Amanun hichu khopi sunga atehpi kom’ah apolut’in avetsah in achanglhah nehmoh akhenpeh jong chu apen tan ahi.
And she lifted [it] up and she went the city and she saw mother-in-law her [that] which she had gleaned and she took [it] out and she gave to her [that] which she had left over from abundance her.
19 Naomi’in, “Chang hijat pihi hoilanga nagalo khom ham? Pakaiyin nahin kithopipa hi phattheiboh hen!” ati. Hichun Ruth nin atehpi kom’ah chun changkhai aga kidonna louneipa thu chu aseipeh tan ahi. Tuni kagatoh na louneipa chu Boaz ahi, ati.
And she said to her mother-in-law her where? did you glean this day and where? did you work may he be [the one who] paid regard to you blessed and she told to mother-in-law her whom she had worked with him and she said [the] name of the man whom I worked with him this day [is] Boaz.
20 “Amachu Pathen’in phattheiboh hen” atin, Naomi’n amounu jah’a chun hitin aseipeh tai “Aman hitobang khotona anei hi eini chung’a ahin, chule najipa chung’a ahi. Amapahi i-insung’u kiledohsah thei ikinaipi pen khatnu chu ahi,” ati.
And she said Naomi to daughter-in-law her [be] blessed he by Yahweh who not he has forsaken covenant loyalty his with the living and with the dead and she said to her Naomi [is] near to us the man [is] one of kinsman-redeemer[s] our he.
21 Ruth’in aseibe in, “Boaz’in hungkit’in lang chang-at hi akichai kahsen, changvo ho lah a hi kaum khom jing nadiuvin eiseipeh in ahi,” ati.
And she said Ruth the Moabite [woman] also - that he said to me with the servants who [belong] to me you will stay! until they have completed all the harvest which [belongs] to me.
22 Naomi’n, “Aphai, kachanu aman naseipeh bang bang hin chonnin, hiche chang at-hi akichai kahsen anungah holah a chun um'in, loumun danga che hih in, min nadei chatvei thei ahin ama louva vang hi imacha tilou ding ahi,” atipeh e.
And she said Naomi to Ruth daughter-in-law her [is] good O daughter my that you will go out with female servants his and not people will molest you in a field another.
23 Hitichun Ruth jong Boaz loulai achun sakol chang-at kichai kahse chun anumei houtoh atongkhom’in, changkhai chu akilokhom’in ahi. Chuleh sakol chang leh suhlou chang-at kichai kahsen changkhai akichomtai, hiche sungse hin, ama atehpitoh aum khom jing jing in ahi.
And she stayed with [the] female servants of Boaz to glean until was complete [the] harvest of the barley and [the] harvest of the wheat and she dwelt with mother-in-law her.
